  • On Sunday, August 21st, a vehicle was found fourteen feet deep in Prosser Reservoir by the volunteer dive group Adventures with Purpose. Inside that vehicle was a body. Only days later, on August 23rd, an autopsy confirmed that the body pulled from the lake was that of Kiely Rodni, a sixteen-year-old who had gone to a party at Prosser Family Campground and disappeared. She was only a ten minute drive away from home; a nightmare situation for any family.

Kiely was last seen at roughly 12:30 a.m. on August 6th. She had joined a gathering of 200-300 minors at the campground, located in Truckee, California, on Friday August 5th. This campground is situated on the Prosser Reservoir within the Tahoe National Forest. This area attracts over six million visitors annually. Kiely grew up in this area – in Truckee – so this wasn’t unfamiliar territory for her.

  • Murder can be abrupt, cold, and unexpected. Many of the murders we hear about today happen quickly and leave family, friends, communities and occasionally the nation in shock. But perhaps some of the most horrifying murders are those that take place over literal months; a slow, stalking, tense build-up often controlled by one or two individuals. These perpetrators are usually labeled serial killers and they’re the stuff of nightmares. For the Staudte family, back in 2012, that danger came from within.

The Staudte family lived in Springfield, Missouri. Diane and Mark Staudte, the matriarch and patriarch, secured a modest home for their four children, all ranging in age from 9 to 24. Shaun Staudte was the oldest, followed by his sisters Sarah and Rachel. Briana Staudte, the youngest member of the family, was only 9 when their quiet life suddenly took a dark turn.

While the Staudtes were by no means wealthy, they were a decent representation of a middle-lower class American family.

  • A jarring case in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Napa Valley, California – known for its wineries and vineyards, tourists often flock here to experience all it has to offer. People looking to relocate often choose Napa as well as its ranked as one of America’s Top 100 Best Places to Live. Which is why what happened on a Halloween night in 2004 sent shockwaves through the town and even across the world.

The scene takes place on Dorset Street, not far from downtown Napa and described by the 3 girls that lived there as “the perfect place to live.” Originally there were only 2 roommates, both from the local area. Adriane Insogna (IN-SONYA), an engineer, and Lauren Meanza (ME-ANSA) a volleyball coach at a local college. They would eventually form a trio when Southern belle Leslie Mazzara relocated from South Carolina after a rocky breakup with a boyfriend. At the time, Leslie was working at the Coppola winery, operated by Francis Ford Coppola, the director of the “Godfather.”

  • Occasionally, we come across someone in life who just chills us right to the core. Call it intuition or instinct if you want, but something triggers a red flag; the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, your stomach twists, and you just know something is wrong.

Rosemary Ndlovu is exactly the kind of person who would cause this fight-or-flight reaction.

The atrocities Rosemary committed over the course of six years can’t be attributed to her age; in fact, there are many indications that she should have known better, including her previous employment as a policewoman.

Born in South Africa in the township of Thembisa, there’s not much information about Rosemary’s early life to go by; were her actions later in life a result of some childhood trauma? Were they learned?

  • Guy Heinze Jr. took the nation by storm when it came out that he’d killed his father and seven members of his extended family in a mobile home they collectively shared. In October 2013, Heinze was found guilty on eight counts of malice murder. In the state of Georgia, malice murder is considered a felony offence and is described as a homicide that is done with the express or implied desire to do evil. Heinze was only 26 when he was sentenced for the killings that took place four years earlier, in 2009.

In recent years Guy Heinze Jr. has made headlines with his attempts to request a new trial and appeal his conviction – as recently as 2021. But before we discuss Heinze’s current situation with the Supreme Court and their ruling, let’s take a look back at the atrocious crime he committed.

Guy Heinze Jr. is classified as a mass murderer due to the fact that he took the lives of eight individuals in one fell swoop. He was born in 1987, and there isn’t much information out there about his childhood – and what he may have suffered leading up to that fateful day in August. We do know that his mother wasn’t included in the brutal murders, but

  • Summer Wells disappeared from her home on June 15th, 2021. She was just five years old, a blonde, blue-eyed child from Rogersville, Tennessee.

The Wells family lived on a rural property with a circular yard surrounded by trees. In aerial photos, the home as well as a dirt drive and small camper are visible amongst the woods. The property, searched by countless professional teams, was regularly described as “rough;” photos show overgrown vegetation, thick and hard to get through, that the search teams had to fight through over the first week.

Seeing the photos, it’s easy to imagine that Summer could have simply walked off into the forest, never to be seen again; or did something more sinister happen to her that day?

At the time of her disappearance, her family was gathered mainly at the front of the house; Summer had gone down to the basement. The basement door was located at the back of the house. It was around 6:30 in the evening. She was wearing gray pants, a pink shirt and was barefoot.
