Named "The Hardest Working Man" by Modern Drummer Magazine, Sonor Artist Jerry Pentecost is a full time drummer, DJ and seemingly whatever else he can squeeze in to his schedule while raising twin 4 year olds.Jerry discusses his love for Sonor drums and the high level of craftsmanship that led him to the brand, as well as the stellar support he gets from Jeff Mulvihill and Henry Go who represent Sonor at KHS America. Jerry discusses other aspects of his life and career and that at 40 years old he still considers himself at the top of his career, citing drummers still working well into their 70s and 80s. He has obviously found a welcoming home with Sonor and hopes to stay with the brand through the rest of his career.

Shell sets don't seem to be sellingHLD 590 sold out immediately and only 100 were made (for a 150th Anniversary) 150th Anniversary Steel Kompressor Snares (in USA) are only available from 2 retailers and were released with no fanfare; while the catalog counterparts have had a price drop. No word on future released of other 150th models from the rest of the Kompressor Sonor continues its recent years tradition of offering no swag whatsoever (in USA)

Ron currently tours with Steve Miller Band, Revisiting Creedence, Greg Rollie and stays busy with studio work and side projects. As a Sonor endorser, Ron has toured extensively with Cher, David Lee Roth, The Storm, Richie Sambora, Foreigner and others.

What may seem to be chance opportunity to fill in for one of the planets top drummers was anything but. This was actually an event years in the making, right down to a duplicate Sonor set, that predated Todd's new Sonors by several years.
