  • If you consider falling in love with an Orangutan over lunch “ordinary” then you might find these stories “ordinary” but I doubt it!

This is an "insiders" look at how airline employees used to travel in the good ole days, before Covid, fax machines and mandatory reservations!

Cindy and her husband, Bart were fellow airline employees back in the day when we could jump on and off flights to get anywhere in the world, for free!

They have traveled around the world and have seen more in their travels than ten other couples combined!

You’ll hear how they traveled, with no reservations, just winging it and how that sometimes got them in pretty serious trouble!

Like when they had a flat tire in the middle of the African savannah in their sophisticated safari vehicle, a tiny Datsun 210, in the middle of a pride of lions.

And how Cindy kept watch, out the window, as Bart got out of the car to change the tire!

Then it was love at first sight in Singapore for Cindy, when she fell in love with an Orangutan over lunch!

These are stories from what I call “The Glory Days of Aviation” when travel was a true 1st Class adventure, complete with 5 course meals crossing the pond to Europe and beyond.

If you dare to be jealous at how we traveled, “free as birds” in the good ole days, then you’ll love Cindy’s book, ‘Life on Standby’.

  • Heroes, listen in as my nephew and me talk about issues that span our 60 year age difference!

Police de-funding, pay in-equality, socialism, statue tear downs, fake news, conspiracy theories, mark of the beast, you name it, we cover it in this interview with my 24 year old nephew!

He's a recent honors grad of Arizona State University, now working in Georgia.

We talk about everything that's going on these days, before and during Covid from perspectives that span the pre-Baby Boomer era to the Millennials!

He talks about his take on the pros and cons on the use of technology among young people, how intentions and ideas can be misconstrued on social media, how the use of college online classes prepared him for the lockdowns, what he thinks about the protests, how many young kids think it's cool to be poor and how that leads to looking free government handouts!

There's much more so listen in and let us know what you think...

  • This doesn't make any sense! Why would "Sin Taste Good" to this gifted corporate flight attendant!

Relax, this isn't going to be some steamy look at the secret life of flight attendants! It's merely the title of her new book!

But you're going to be moved by the wave of miracles that led to her landing a plum corporate jet flight attendant job with absolutely no experience!

You other corporate flight attendants will know how tough that is and how seldom it happens without divine help!

And you probably can't wait to hear why she named her book "Sin Tastes Good" so listen up to her tell the story.

I met Reina through my friendship with Christina Brown, a corporate flight attendant who started the Aviation Wellness online community.

We start out with her talking about being raised in the country of Brunei, where her father flew the Sultan of Brunei’s corporate jet and where she hung out with the princes and princesses in that country.

She did that job for 5 years and it took her around the world, laying over for 6 weeks at a time in places like southern France, writing her book and singing in a church that she stumbled across during one of her fabulous layovers.

One of the powerful parts of her interview is when she talks about how to have peace in the midst of the furlough chaos that has taken place in the aviation industry and how her peace principles apply in any other circumstance for that matter.

That part of her interview reminded me very much of one of the Ebooks I’m creating with a co-author on Amazon titled "How to Maintain Calm Amidst Increasing Chaos." It’s the start of a series that spins off into Calm Amidst Aviation Chaos, Calm Amidst Entrepreneurial Chaos, etc. You can check it out here: http://amzn.to/3hFF7Yr

I get inspired by all the people I interview but my time with Reina was very special in the way she describes her life and the application of the principles in her book; it hit me hard, maybe because of what we’re all going through right now.

You'll hear about her relationship with Rabbi Daniel Lapin and his book "Thou Shalt Prosper"; it’s definitely on my to-read list as well as Reina’s, "Sin Tastes Good" (Come on, how could you pass up a book with a title like that!?)

So kick back, take a deep breath and set aside about 30 minutes, to hear about the miracles that show up for Reina and how you can apply them to your own life.

You can contact and follow her on her website at: www.reina-rose.com, on Twitter @ReinaRoseTv, on Instagram at reina_rose_tv and on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/reinarose17

And let me know if you like her interview and podcast by sending an email to me at [email protected] or leave me a message on my website, www.bertbotta.com

And, know for sure that if you’re listening to this you’re definitely one of my Everyday Heroes!

See you on the road or in the skies, I'll know you even with your mask on...

  • Hi Heroes, but especially you NorCal, Marin and Sonoma County aviator-type heroes!

This is Bert, and I have a special interview for you today.

You've heard of the flying doctors but this guy is not your ordinary, garden variety flying doctor.

Doctor Jon's medical career took a few unexpected turns and landed him as CEO of a very large company that in turn led to him finally being able to indulge his passion for aviation.

And, lucky for us, he's landed here in Marin County, at Scanlon Aviation at Gnoss Field with not just his passion for flying but wanting also to include anyone with a similar passion to join him.

But I'm getting ahead of myself...

Just listening to his story was pure inspiration for me, especially how he doubled down, working 100 to 120 hours a week as a doctor while attending graduate school for an MBA.

Then he switched gears from medicine to finding himself as the CEO of a high priced pharmaceutical company, having to refer to his graduate school notes to learn how to run the company!

Even though I've been pretty successful in a couple of different careers I'm always blown away by guys with big brains and big hearts like Dr. Jon, and his ability to juggle a few, very difficult projects at once and come out smiling.

You’re going to hear how he went from practicing cardiology to him being CEO of a major corporation and, for my aviation listeners, how that journey landed him owning a few, very special Cirrus SR series aircraft, the Lamborghini’s of light aircraft, at Scanlon Aviation.

And, if you're the kind of a person who enjoys "paying if forward" you'll want to take notes because you’re going to hear how he went from working long hours as a doctor for very little money and in some cases, none, to finally “livin’ the dream”, owning these neat aircraft and sharing his passion with anyone who's interested.

Then toward the end of the interview you’ll hear how he's taking that passion as an aviation entrepreneur to now advocating for building an aviation community at Gnoss Field, where he flies out of.

Listen up, enjoy his story and come check us out at Scanlon Aviation in Novato because you might even get some very cool aviation tips from Dr. Jon in person!

  • Hi my Everyday Heroes, I make no apologies for the unusual length of this interview with "King" Cohen because it's so loaded with valuable personal and professional information.

It's especially important if you know of someone who's hurting for money or you know of a kid who's confused about his or her path in life and wants something outside "the system" that will give them a fantastic career without having to spend thousands of $$$$ going to college and still coming out confused!

I say this because Ty’s 16 year old son has his own Amazon eBook business using the same techniques as taught in this program.

This is a special interview that I did with a very successful young guy who I call King Cohen. Ty Cohen is a young guy who I’ve known for a long time and who has built a literal empire on Amazon, publishing ebooks, short ebooks, long ebooks, all kinds of ebooks.

In our interview he talks about how he creates those elusive "multiple streams of income" in addition and so much more.

Over the past ten years he’s built a powerful publishing system that gives people the tools to build a serious business, by creating these eBooks on Amazon.

Ty's interview is as much about you enjoying a spontaneous, fun chat between an old white dude and a sharp, young black man and the fun we have talking about what makes us so similar instead of how we’re different as it is about the beginnings and future of Kindle Cash Flow.

In the process you'll hear the depth of what Ty has created, how he did it and how just about anybody can do the same.

So enjoy our chat and here’s my affiliate link https://bit.ly/2J9MgmF to Ty’s Kindle Cash Flow publishing program should you want more information on how to sign up for this unique, "side hack" for making money and have a ball doing it in a community of like-minded friends!

Or hit me up here, [email protected] and I'll answer any questions you might have. #KCF #KindleCashFlow, https://www.bertbotta.com

  • Heroes, this used to be the "kiss of death" for pilots! Diabetes has for a long time been disqualifying for a pilot to continue flying.

In Pietro's story you'll hear about what he had to go through, after learning he was diabetic at 21 years old, especially since he had been actively flying and his life came to a screeching halt after this discovery.

You'll hear how he had to fight his way back to health and in the process, did a ton of research that led to the FAA completely changing the protocol that they require for a pilot to continue flying with diabetes.

But very soon into his fight to remain in the cockpit he realized that this was much more than him trying to maintain his license; it was a fight for all the young pilots, and general population, who come after him who have felt hopeless in their fight for health.

Hear how he describes that, as a kid he was able to "eat all the good stuff, like pizza and cake" and how that all came crashing down as he helps discover an amazing technological breakthrough to treat diabetes, a device called a "continuous glucose monitor."

But I'll let Pietro tell you his story in this interview and if you know of anyone who needs to hear of this technology, please refer them to me at: [email protected]

    Here's to your amazing health,

    Bert

  • Ney Grant is a world class everything! Flying adventurer, writer, author, blogger, photographer, tech entrepreneur, retired mergers and acquisitions guy, and generally a bighearted guy with a passion for service.

You’re going to love how he crammed a bunch of garbage cans and hand wash stations into the back of his Cessna 210, schlepped them over to Tuba City, Arizona and delivered them to the Navajo reservation there so the native peoples would be able to stay safe from the covid.

If you're up for adventure, you’ll have plenty of it in his interview. You’ll hear how he had no intention of learning how to fly but did so out of the necessity of having to commute from his home in northern California to his tech company in Silicon Valley.

Then, as is usually the case, flying became an obsession; so much so that he decided to discover any and all the places that normal people only dream about seeing but never get to!

If you like what you hear, order his book, Fifty Classic Destinations for Pilots: Epic Adventures, Romance and Outdoor Fun in the Western USA here https://westcoastflyingadventures.com/

You'll be able to listen to his blogs where you can hitch a virtual ride as he tells the stories of places that will make you want to drop what you’re doing, pack up and follow him!

    Enjoy the flight…

    Bert

  • Hi My Everyday Heroes, this is Mandy B, the lady who went from "Fashion Designer to Pilot in Command” but not without some trying times and challenges.

Mandy’s story is not your typical “midwestern girl heads west, makes good as a fashion designer, marries, has three kids, learns to fly” story.

If you ladies who are listening to this have ever harbored the thought of “how cool would it be to be able to fly an airplane “ you might be inspired and encouraged to just “jump in and do it” after listening to Mandy’s story.

But there’s a few twists and turns along the way that you need to know about but not enough that discouraged her or you either from tackling and succeeding at this challenge.

Her grandmother called her a “hornet” when she was five years old because she was constantly buzzing around, getting into things. She always considered herself a risk taker but when I pressed her on that label, she confessed that she’s become much more conservative now, especially since she’s got a family and is responsible for much more than just herself.

But that didn’t stop her from tackling her life-long dream.

Her father was her inspiration to fly and in the interview you’ll be able to trace her life from being a successful fashion designer to remembering how much she enjoyed that time spent with her father and what it was like being up in the air and finally pursuing her dream.

Along the way she had to conquer the feeling of “how’s a fashion designer supposed to understand and learn the technology I need to fly an airplane!?”

To hear how far she’s come, about midway through the interview you’ll hear her describe how her training kicked in when she found herself in the midst of what could have become an in-flight emergency.

Enjoy the flight and if you have any questions “Mandy” is always willing to answer them…who knows, if you’re in the area you might even get a ride with her!

And if you’re a woman who has ever thought about learning how to fly, this just might be what you need to “just do it!”

    Enjoy her interview…

  • Unheard of! The information in this episode has never been heard before because what Jill is telling us here has never been applied specifically to flight crews and frequent flyers!

Jill Mongene is a registered Dietitian and Nutritionist for the jet age; she teaches and applies this information specifically to those of us who spend most of our lives in the air and on the road: pilots, flight attendants, aviation professionals - anyone who seems to be constantly stressed out and in motion and is wondering how to better care for their health away from home.

You'll hear things in her interview you've never heard applied to aviation professionals before, especially information like what kinds of foods to eat in combination with one another, what to eat to get the maximum benefit from your workouts, what diabetics and pre-diabetics might be doing wrong that is putting them at dangerous risk - and a success story of a diabetic who was flirting dangerously with his health because he didn't know any better - what you need to know about your gut health and how to rebuild it, what the myth around gluten-free is and so much more that you need to hear.

So give a listen to Jill's interview and subscribe to my podcast channel because there's even more and better stuff coming downline: www.buzzsprout.com/955717

You can contact Jill for a free 30 minute health evaluation here: www.truecoursenutrition.com or on her facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/jill.mongene.14

  • If you travel for a living, if you're a pilot, flight attendant or professional road warrior and you don't take care of your health the way you know you should, the critical information in this interview with Jill Mongene has been hidden in plain sight and now she reveals it!

What you’ll hear is the kind of information you won’t hear anywhere else for professional nomads or for those of us who struggle with health issues and good nutrition while we’re on the road.

It’s a podcast I did with Jill, a Registered and Certified Dietitian and Nutritionist and it was taken from a webinar she gave a short time ago titled: The Secrets to Avoiding Sickness: Reroute Your Health.

Jill is the wife of an American Airlines captain, Joe Keisling who I interviewed here recently. In our interview, because of her background and expertise as a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist, specializing in aviation professionals health, Jill talks about how she brought Joe back to health from some serious conditions that he had just learned to live with before he met Jill.

Jill’s specialty is nutrition for travelers, especially airline flight crews since she specializes in helping pilots get and stay healthy, especially those with High blood pressure, Borderline A1C and a high glucose range.

She also helps flight crews improve their eyesight, and those who struggle with the kind of gut issues that include constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, skin rashes.

Eating healthy when on the road has always a hassle and a challenge. Most of us just cave in and "do the best we can!"

One of the parts of her interview will be extremely helpful for those of us who don't take the time to plan ahead when we travel. In this section you'll hear how to plan for your trips, what to buy, how to pack it and take with you.

I apologize for cutting the interview short but there's so much good, valuable information here that I wanted to make each segment short enough so you were able to take it all in.

The second in the series of Jill's interview will be live next Tuesday, November 3rd, election day; listen to it at www.buzzsprout.com/955717 at 9 am Pacific.

Enjoy her interview and have a pen and paper handy since it’s packed with information that you probably haven’t heard before anywhere else.

You can reach Jill on her Website: https://truecoursenutrition.com/ or on her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/jill.mongene.14

Our lifestyles are more challenging than most; it's time to make the small changes that will enable you to be vital and productive long after you quit flying...

We can’t live forever but we can be healthy and enjoy life while we’re here…

  • Captain Bob found out that everything's negotiable in China! If you don't believe me, listen to Captain Bob's outrageous story of flying in China, what he went through to get there and how he negotiated that the Chinese pay for his wedding as part of the deal!

Bob used to fly for Netjets, the same company I flew for. If you or anyone you know is chasing a flying job because of the airline layoffs and you or they need to know what it's like to get a flying job in China and also what to expect when you get there.

Or if you just love a good story, you gotta hear Bob's tale of adventure, especially how he had to learn Chinese to study for the ATP written exam to get hired!

This guy is one of the most positive pilots you'll ever hear from and what he went through to get a flying job is an inspiration to not only pilots but to anyone who needs a shot of whoopee during these times!

This is an insider's look at the Chinese flying culture, how they do business, why everything's negotiable and what it takes to succeed as a pilot in their country.

Captain Bob is open to helping with any info you might need so contact me if that's something you'd like...

  • T This is no ordinary woman! Ladies, if you need a shot of inspiration, especially with all that's going on these days, listen to Gina’s story of growing up alone, that is except for the power of God in her life and her father’s persistent comment that “there’s no such word as ‘can’t’” that continually rang in her ear!

Gina is 5'4" tall and 110 lbs. Most people would think that she’s “too small” to be an iron and steel forger, a blacksmith, a horse and goat trainer, a wilderness photographer, a hunter who packs into the mountains with her goats, a paramedic, nurse, and one of the first women to be hired as a fire fighter on the elite Oregon "hotshot" team.

The only flaw I could find in my time with her was her limited vocabulary; she's unable to pronounce and use the word "can't" in a sentence!

Listen to her story of how, as a seven year old girl she was raised in the mountains, by a father and grandfather who taught her the power of "you can do this" and "brain over brawn."

A country person by nature, a few years ago Gina started developing the time honored craft of Blacksmithing, making steel into rustic useful items. With her living next to the beautiful Cascade Mountains in Oregon, photography was a natural since it’s something she’s done all her life.

Her approach to things she thought could be almost impossible was "this could be interesting."

As a woman of faith hear how her combination of "I can do this" and Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through him who strengthens me" enabled her to do what could be considered nearly impossible for most women.

After we finished our interview I told her I felt like I had just heard the best, most inspiring sermon of my life!

She has spurned many offers of marriage to maintain her commitment to her faith and who knows what else she’s going to tackle next!

During the Summer you can buy items at Ft. Klamath Museum, and Collier State Park and Logging Museum. You can also find her items at Rick Steber Makers & Company in Prineville, Oregon.

If you are in her area you can also buy items at Favell Museum, Klamath County Museum, and For His Glory Bible Book Store.

You can connect with Gina on her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/cascadecountrycreations/

If you like this, please subscribe to my podcast channel because we're going to have more, equally inspiring and motivating stories from other "Everyday Heroes."

  • Hey Everyday Heroes beloved family, for the average guy money is rapidly disappearing these days!

This is something I normally don’t do, spreading this kind of message but my heart is breaking seeing thousands of our aviation family being furloughed for who knows how long until they get their job back.

If you need a way to rebuild your life, build a safety net for the future or just plain need more money, you gotta listen to my interview with Seth Taylor, who’s making thirty five thousand dollars a month, closing in on 40 K as we speak, selling Ebooks on Amazon that he doesn’t even write!

Listen to Seth's story of how he went from working 60 to 70 hours a week, 7 days a week, to making an unbelievable amount of money every month, publishing Ebooks on Amazon, written by people who he hires on fiverr for very little money.

He went from being a gas and oil pipeline inspector, with no home life, to him hiring writers, very inexpensively, to create Ebooks that are making the kind of money that you’ll hear about in his interview.

I heard about Seth on another friends’ podcast when I was looking for aviation stories that my listeners would like. When I heard his story I knew immediately that this was someone that I needed to interview, especially because so many of our aviation brothers and sisters are getting laid off their jobs with no possibility of returning soon to an industry that will be massively shrunk for a long time.

If you have questions, hit me up here since I bought the same system a few years ago to write and publish my own book, Fast Lane to Faith, but so far my results aren't quite like Seth's.

But after interviewing him, I’m digging back into the recently updated Kindle Cash Flow system.

How would something like this change your life or make early retirement a reality?

I know, I know, this sounds crazy, but it’s true.

If you're interested, here's my affiliate link where you can check out the program: https://kcf.clickfunnels.com/registration-page-cb-a?hop=botajet1

But in the meantime I’ll let Seth tell you his story…

  • Vern Hunter is not just one of my brothers in a Christian men’s group that meets weekly, I consider him to be the spiritual leader of our group.

Vern was raised by a white mother and black father so when he speaks of how he sees an end to racism, he knows what he’s talking about!

From describing how, as a young man on the streets, he would bring home his free school lunch to his pregnant sister to our conversation where he talks about his rise from drug dealer in the ‘hood to one of the top car salesman in Northern California.

He’s quick to point out that this wasn’t because of his efforts but because of how God has influenced his life.

He talks about how it’s impossible to fight hate with hate and how important it is to be respectful and honoring even if other people aren’t honorable. An example of this was how a detective who came into the dealership to buy a car initially looked down on him but as Vern began “to love on him” the detective opened up by sharing his opinion of what was wrong with the new crop of cops these days.

The detective said that too many of them have a “game boy” mentality that leads them to draw their weapon before using the kind of “street smarts” that cops of old seemed to have naturally..

Oh yeah, the detective ended up buying a new car from Vern!

  • Chuck Carter is a retired Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer and Rescue Swimmer who used to “fly 300 miles offshore to jump into 30 foot seas to rescue someone he doesn’t know and might not even like!”

He had a rather inauspicious beginning to his life-saving career by driving his car through a building as a teen age kid back in Maine! After he got through paying for that, he decided to do something more constructive with his life so he joined the Coast Guard. Fast forward 26 years, Chuck ended up on active duty “saving lives and training life savers.”

As an Aviation Survival Technician, Chief Petty Officer, Chuck figured that getting paid to work out and swim around was a great way to earn a living. When he found out in basic training that “they’re going to try to drown you” he realized he was in “over his head!”

But he quickly learned to not only survive but thrive in a career that he found extremely rewarding but where sometimes his buddies would find themselves alone, in the water 300 miles offshore, waiting to be rescued themselves!

If you’re a visual kind of guy or gal, you’re going to love the way Chuck articulates his story and paints the picture of a very exciting adventure of what it was like to prepare for his career of jumping out of a helicopter into 30 foot seas and living to jump and swim another day.

Chuck spent most of his time in Coast Guard aviation, performing countless missions as the Rescue Swimmer on Sikorsky HH-3 and HH-60 helicopters, Aerospatiale HH-65 helicopters and as a load-master and drop-master on the Lockheed C-130.

During his last nine years on Active Duty, Chuck managed the Coast Guard’s Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) School at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center in Petaluma, CA where he trained more Coast Guard EMT’s than anyone else before or since!

During this time, Chuck also worked a second job at the local Emergency Room in Petaluma as an Emergency Room Technician to keep his own operational EMT skills sharp; this is a guy you definitely want with you if you’re thinking of doing anything stupid!

Stick around to the end of our interview to find out how God put Chuck in the exact position needed to take his life saving skills from physical to spiritual!!

He recently began a Master’s Program in Counseling Psychology at Dominican College in San Rafael, CA. Chuck has six children with his wife of 33 years.

  • If you've ever been sitting on an airplane and looked out the window to see the baggage smashers tossing your suitcase around like it was a frisbee, you'll relate to Dave Caroll's song, "United Breaks Guitars"!

"United Breaks Guitars" is a true heroes tale of how one man takes on corporate America and, not just wins, but inspires others to do the same! Not only that, he made a fantastic song out of his experience!

In our podcast he talks about how he got started in the music business, the challenges, the times he played his guitar and sang to nobody but a drunk sitting at the bar in some honky-tonk town in Nowheresville, USA.

He also talks about his life, his music, his mission and why he thinks that Compassion and Music, are the keys to ending the current insanity in the world.

But more than anything Dave is a storyteller who happens to use his beautiful music to tell stories about Everyday Heroes, people like you and me.

This guy is a true Everyday Hero; his stories and music will stay with you for a long time.

After hearing his story you might even be convinced that your story is important and that you need to tell it...

  • Chuck Carter, a former Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer used to jump out of a helicopter into 30 foot seas for a living but when I asked him if he thinks he's a hero he hesitated.

So I asked him what his definition of an Everyday Hero is; you're going to be surprised by his answer!

Listen in to his full interview on Tuesday, September 29th at 9 am for the whole story of why this guy did what he did and what he discovered at the end of his career!

  • Most of my podcasts are about normal, Everyday Heroes. But when you hear retired TWA Captain Bill Kirschner describe how he literally saved 4 people's lives, that’s when he went from Everyday to Real Hero!

When you listen to Bill’s adventures as a pilot/instructor for Saudi Arabian Airlines, on temporary assignment from TWA, you'll be entertained and amazed at how turns the challenge of flying in a totally different cultural and geographic environment to his advantage.

You'll also be inspired at how he not just survives but thrives for 8 years, flying in some of the most desolate, remote desert regions of the world; and that's just the beginning!

When he wasn't flying out of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia he would hop on a Saudi airliner and fly to join his wife and kids where they rented a different villa every year in exotic places like southern Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. All this, while he was managing the Saudi Arabian Airline Boeing 707 pilot training program.

Listen as he talks about training the Saudi pilots, whose memory of the Koran helped them to completely memorize the Boeing 707 flight manual! But that wasn't all that they needed to be a safe, competent pilot...

For those of you who are here for the first time, it's great to have you onboard! If you like this kind of stuff and you want more or want to contact me or you have a story that needs telling and very well could be your legacy you can contact me at: [email protected] or on my website at: www.bertbotta.com

  • I call Christina a Diva: “A woman who ‘engages in unreasonable behavior and makes demands on others that potentially exceed the measure of hers and their talent!’"

Christina set the table for our interview by stating her motto; “My life purpose is to be a force for good through genuine love and kindness in order to raise the vibration of planet earth.”

With that said, she is the creator of the Aviation Wellness Community, a Facebook community that brings together aviation professionals who support, encourage, and love on one another while also providing important health and wellness resources to this unique community who face challenges unlike most earth-bound creatures!

In her interview she speaks candidly about the unique challenges of her life growing up as a “party girl,” the effect that had on her and how her past motivated her to change her ways and readied her for her career as a corporate flight attendant, being solely responsible in the cabin for the safety, comfort and well-being of her high-end clients.

She has a powerful, convincing yet comforting way of telling her story and she talks about the importance, and challenge, of “walking her talk” while trying to be authentic with her feelings.

You will be motivated to take her main attribute, as told to her by one of her friends, that of “taking a negative and turning it into a positive” and using that in your own life.

Christina has an admittedly low tolerance for “small talk” and constantly seeks to find ways to help others create meaning in her and their life. She wants to know “what your biggest problems, your biggest challenges in life are!” She says how important it is to be open and realize that your story, your life can be an important learning experience for others and how important it is to share your story with others.

She seeks constantly to help others discover their vision, their passion in life and how she can inspire and support others to put that into action, especially during these times when it’s possible to totally “reset” our lives.

  • On September 11th, 2001 Joe Keisling was taxiing his American Airlines Boeing 767 out of Chicago O’Hare for takeoff when Ground Control called and told him there was an indefinite ground stop on all eastbound departures…thus began the day that changed his life and ours forever!

In this interview you’ll get a first-hand listen to what happened that day, especially when you hear Joe talk about something that never happens in aviation, one of the air traffic controllers’ voice cracking when he told them, “God bless you.”

    But it didn’t stop there.

For those of you who might be thinking of an airline flying career, Joe pulls back the curtain on the unheard of miracle of how he was hired at American without a college degree. Then he tells us how that happened and how becoming the poster boy in a 1980 Super Bowl commercial for the Army helicopter pilot recruiting program in the latest model of the Army’s Cobra helicopter “punched his ticket” for the rest of his aviation career!

At the end of the interview he talks about his wife, Jill who is a registered dietitian, specializing in the challenges of aviation travel and how she has helped him maintain his health as an International Airline Captain, crossing time zones and all the stresses that go along with 34 years of flying around the world. I have a separate episode coming soon with Jill coming up that will go into detail about helping you work out a nutritional program that will keep you healthy during our often schizophrenic nutritional lifestyle!

Her podcast will address specifically how to know what to eat, how to pack what to eat during your travels and how to stay healthy in the midst of everything that challenges us, especially these days.

Today’s closing song, “Everyday Heroes” is by Dave Carroll who will be one of my guests on an episode later this month!
