  • This faith-refreshing conversation is all about spotlighting and learning from an incredible man whose faith has helped him build an impressive career.

Jason Smyth MBE is an Irish retired sprint runner. He competes in the T13 disability sport classification as he is legally blind, with his central vision being affected by Stargardt's disease; he also competes in elite non-Paralympic competition. Jason also recently won Ireland's Dancing With The Stars.

I wanted to speak to Jason about the role of faith in an elite mindset, and how his faith helped him to not only overcome significant obstacles but to become the fastest Paralympian in history.

Some highlights from this episode include Jason's unique experience on Dancing With The Stars, how Jason avoided becoming a victim, and Jason's advice for overcoming obstacles with faith.

Steven J. Lund currently serves as the Young Men General President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he has served in this role since 2020.

I wanted to speak to President Lund on the week that commemorates the restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood (May 15, 1829) and catch up on the function and state of the Aaronic Priesthood today, as well as those who traditionally hold it - young men. Who better to speak to than the President of the global program.

Patrick Q. Mason is an American historian specializing in the study of the Latter-day Saint movement. Since 2019, he has held the Leonard J. Arrington Chair of Mormon History and Culture at Utah State University.

I wanted to speak to Patrick about the topics of our times as Latter-day Saints: covenants, temples, leaders, and community. Patrick is a fantastic scholar who has some incredibly enlightening ideas that make you want to be a better saint.

Some highlights from this episode include Patrick's reflections on General Conference, what happened when Patrick sent his students to other churches, and how wards can create a deeper feeling of covenant belonging.

Nathan Greener played Enos in the Book of Mormon video series, which is the subject of the Come, Follow Me curriculum at the moment.

I wanted to speak to Nathan about his experience preparing for and being in the Book of Mormon videos, and hear his insights from his deep study of Enos.

Some highlights from this episode include the filming process of the Book of Mormon videos, the Enos workout, and how Enos can relate to all of us

  • This faith-refreshing conversation on the For All The Saints Podcast is all about Islam and fasting.

Daniel C. Peterson is a former professor of Islamic Studies and Arabic in the Department of Asian and Near Eastern Languages at Brigham Young University.

I wanted to speak to Daniel at the close of Ramadan to understand the religious significance of fasting as well as learning from Daniel about the Muslim religion overall.

  • This faith-refreshing conversation on the For All The Saints podcast is all about the April 2024 General Conference!

I visited Amsterdam to visit with 5 Dutch Latter-day Saints and hear about the church in the Netherlands as well as their thoughts on General Conference.

I wanted to speak to them because I feel it so important to highlight the immense faith of members all around the world, I'll try my best to do this each General Conference.

Some highlights from this episode include the state of missionary work in the Netherlands, a surprise Best Two Years appearance, and our thoughts on Russell M Nelson's talk.

  • This faith-refreshing conversation on the For All The Saints podcast is all about finding God in difficult moments!

Tammy Peterson is a Catholic, podcaster, and the wife of Canadian psychologist Jordan B. Peterson.

I wanted to speak to Tammy about her awe-inspiring journey of finding God in the midst of her terrifying cancer diagnosis, a cancer with a near-0% survival rate. I also wanted to learn from Tammy about a number of other topics that I find her to be very wise in.

Some highlights from this episode include the blessing women have in traditional religions of having Mary as an example, why Tammy thinks young Christian couples should have children as early as possible, and the beauty of having a friend who can inspire you in your faith.

  • Today's For All The Saints podcast is all about the Church's Kirtland Temple takeover!

You may recognise Jasmin Rappleye as the face of Scripture Plus, creating short-form videos of amazing insights and decoding hot topics and current affairs of her faith. She was instrumental in creating the Scripture Plus study app and has worked at Scripture Central since its beginning. She studied Ancient Near Eastern Studies at BYU and regularly researches Latter-day Saint Temples and women’s roles in the Gospel.

I wanted to talk to Jasmin today specifically about the significant Kirkland Temple deal between the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Community of Christ.

Some highlights include what was in the agreement, why, as a British member, I should care about the Kirtland era, and reflecting on the role of Relief Society in the early Church.

  • Today's For All The Saints podcast is all about Apostles!

Bryan is a content creator on Twitter/X sharing the experiences of latter-day Apostles of Jesus Christ from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, men who have the same function and responsibility as the original Apostles of christianity.

I was one of Bryan's early followers and really wanted to dig into some of the great miracles and prophecies of modern-day apostles, especially with General Conference coming up.

Some highlights of today's episode include the attempted murder of an apostle, how an apostle's faith ended a nationwide drought, and what we can learn from who Christ selects as Apostles in His church.

  • Today's episode of the For All The Saints podcast is all about covenants!

On many occasions I have heard Craig speak powerfully about covenants and covenant belonging in his various capacities. Covenant belonging is a phrase being used more and more, and I wanted to get a better understanding of what it actually means, and why covenants have such an important role in Christianity. In timely fashion, we are following on from Elder Dale G Renlund's fascinating talk about covenants at Brigham Young University.

Some highlights include why we engage in multiple covenants, other examples across cultures, religions, and in the Bible of covenants, and a powerful story of how your covenants can be a source of strength.

  • Lani is a Brigham Young University graduate of Family Science with a music minor. She loves the simplicity and happiness found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Lani is married to John Hilton III and is mother to six wonderful children. She finds joy in uplifting time with good friends, laughter when no one is the brunt of the joke, a kitchen that cleans itself and bedtime hugs and kisses. She is an author, speaker and energetic teacher.

I wanted to speak to Lani about the practical ways we can celebrate Holy Week, and the weeks following, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although the birth of Christ is important, the whole Plan of Salvation revolves around Christ's atoning sacrifice and resurrection, making Easter so pivotal! Let's make it great in 2024.

Some highlights from this episode are the differences between British and American Easter traditions, the food you can use to celebrate Holy Week, and our responses to Elder Gary E Stevenson's invitation to put more emphasis on Easter.

  • Rachel Miner is the Founder and CEO of Bellwether International, working directly with government leaders, faith and belief leaders, and NGOs to foster and protect human rights for all.

I wanted to speak to Rachel about the current atrocities in the world which signal that religious freedom is not a goal we have reached in our era yet. People all around the world are still being horrifically discriminated based on their faith or belief.

Some highlights from this episode include what we can do as individuals, brief rundowns of different global issues currently occurring, and the incredible importance of religious tolerance.

  • Justin Brierley is a writer, speaker, and podcaster committed to building dialogue between Christians and non-Christians. His first book was titled Unbelievable? Why, after ten years of talking with atheists, I’m still a Christian and in September 2023 he published his second book, The Surprising Rebirth of Belief in God.

I wanted to speak to Justin after reading his exceptional new book (and after listening to the accompanying podcast), it brought me hope as a Brit in what is presented to be an incredibly secular United Kingdom. Anecdotally, that's not the case. I'm constantly surprised by friends and acquaintances responding positively or showing interest in my Christian projects. I'm also seeing many statistics beneath the surface highlighting societal trends (especially in the rising generation) showing a return to prayer, church, family, and God.

Some highlights include how to remain hopeful in a pre-war world, what Justin thinks of Richard Dawkins' opinion of Jordan Peterson, and why young men in Finland are showing up to Church more and more.

Justin will be hosting an event in London with Tom Holland on March 5th, head to his website to get tickets.

  • John Hilton III is a Professor of Religious Education at Brigham Young University. John and his wife Lani have six children. They have lived in Boise, Boston, Miami, Mexico, Jerusalem and China. John has a Masters degree from Harvard and a Ph.D from BYU, both in Education. John has published several books, including Considering the Cross and Voices in the Book of Mormon. He is also the author of “The Book of Mormon: A Master Class.”

I wanted to speak to John primarily about Isaiah, as we are approaching a significant chunk of Isaiah chapters in our Book of Mormon study - and I didn't want to be lost! We talked on a number of topics on top of that, but I'm grateful that John helped me with his incredible teaching skills.

Some highlights include how John's book influenced BYU's art gallery, the key to unlocking Isaiah, and how John prepares a lesson.

  • For more than two decades, Dr. Matt Townsend has been energizing and educating audiences with his unique lessons on life, love and leadership. Known as one of America’s top presenters in the field of Human Relations and Development, Matt blends humor and story-telling with his real-life solutions to inspire and motivate healthier living.

I wanted to speak to Dr Townsend for a Valentine's Day episode on how we can strengthen our marriages and relationships, especially with Dr Townsend who shares my faith and can tailor his advice to believers who believe that marriage is more than a mortal, legal contract.

Some highlights from this episode are how we can resolve conflict in marriage and how the Book of Mormon can help you master communication.

  • Ray Robinson is the Director of Experiences for the Priesthood Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As part of his wide-spanning role, Ray advises the team creating the new hymnbook for the Church - the first general hymnbook since 1985.

The Church looks a lot different than it did 1985, and I wanted to know how the new hymnbook project is reflecting that difference (that change primarily being a much more international membership).

Some highlights include the crazy process of going through every submission, which hymns were the most requested, and if different cultures submitted vastly different styles of hymns.

  • Spencer W McBride is a historian and author who wrote the fantastic book Joseph Smith For President. He is also an Associate Managing Historian of the Joseph Smith Papers and the voice of the Joseph Smith Papers podcast.

I wanted to speak to Spencer about Joseph's presidential campaign and his motivations for running, and also what lessons we can learn from church history and the early pioneers of America as we know it today.

Some highlights include what leading figures thought of Joseph Smith and his call to end slavery, which campaigns we could compare Joseph's to in today's society, and how Spencer feels the current state of religious freedom is in America.

  • Michael Birkeland is a comedy actor known globally by Latter-day Saints for his roles in The Singles Ward, The RM, Church Ball, The Home Teachers, and more.

A disclaimer - we did have some technical difficulties recording this episode, and our editor Sean has worked hard to iron them out in post-production, but we apologise if there are slight glitches in the audio here and there and hope you can still enjoy it!

I'm a huge fan of Michael's, and also a huge fan of comedy. We've learnt before that comedians have a unique role in society and a unique perspective, so I wanted to chat with Michael and see how his career has shaped his views on faith.

Some highlights include Michael's upcoming projects, his reflection on the success of The Singles Ward, and how the ability to poke fun at your own culture is healthy.

  • Cassidy and Jordan Gundersen own Spiro Health and Wellness–a company that they built to help educate people on how they can reverse chronic health conditions with diet.

Cassidy holds a PhD in health and nutrition. She is also a nutritionist, health coach, and mother (as well as being Miss Idaho and a star on American Idol!) Jordan is a master herbalist and Iridologist. Together they co-authored the best-selling book 'The Word of Wisdom: Hope, Healing and the Destroying Angel' which chronicles how learning the principles of the Word of Wisdom helped to cure their serious health issues.

Their story is inspiring, and I wanted to go deeper into how living the Word of Wisdom and constantly seeking to progress in caring for our bodies can bring sacred spiritual blessings.

Some highlights include their thoughts on the carnivore diet, how hot drinks became interpreted as tea and coffee, and more!
