Incredible and beautiful pictures are coming in from the James Webb telescope, of our universe. Whenever I see one of the photographs of a beautiful star field it reminds me of a painting by Vincent van Gogh, Starry Starry night and of course he is immortalized because of his paintings. I didn’t realize until the other day that our cartoonist, Joe Sutliff, doesn’t sign a lot of his works. He is missing out on his immortality. Immortality in Judaism lies in what we leave behind.

You can be Jewish by observing the anniversary of a loved ones death. Since this is done once a year it is call a Yahrzeit. Use the English date if that makes the most sense to you. You observe by lighting a candle that burns for 24 hours.
There are Yahrzeit candles available at major supermarkets and on line, however the candle is a reminder and a symbol, this means that the choice of candle is not important, lighting it is to help us remember.
