    Let’s Talk About Why People Fail… Over and Over Again.

    Have you ever seen a team that starts off strong, but the second things get tough, they fall apart?
    Or a business that’s killing it one day, and then BOOM—suddenly, it’s struggling to survive?
    Maybe it’s a relationship—started with passion, love, energy… but now? Nothing. Just empty.

    This isn’t random. There’s a pattern. A cycle.

    And if you don’t break it, it’ll break you.

    It’s called The Regressive Cycle. It’s the reason:
    ✔️ Teams collapse
    ✔️ Businesses fail
    ✔️ Marriages end in divorce
    ✔️ Talent goes to waste

    Let’s break it down.

    Step 1: The Reptilian Reaction (Your Trigger)

    You know that moment when something sets you off?
    Could be a look.
    A tone of voice.
    A single word.
    BOOM—you’re triggered.

    You go full fight, flight, or freeze mode. You’re not thinking. You’re reacting.

    Someone calls you out—you snap back.A teammate makes a mistake—you shut down.Your spouse says something the wrong way—you get defensive.

    Step 2: Trust, Safety, and Respect Go Out the Window

    Once that trigger hits, trust starts slipping.
    The team stops trusting the leader.
    The business loses faith in its direction.
    The relationship feels unsafe—emotionally, mentally, even physically.

    And without trust? Game over. You can’t lead a team, a business, or a family if people don’t feel safe.

    Step 3: You Start Playing It Safe (Self-Protect Mode)

    Now you’re hesitating.
    Now you’re holding back.

    A receiver stops running full-speed because he doesn’t trust the ball will come.A business owner pulls back on risks instead of attacking the market.A husband stays quiet instead of talking through an issue.

    You’re protecting yourself instead of going all-in.
    And that’s when the real damage starts.

    Step 4: Bare Minimum Effort and Breakdowns

    Now, you’re still showing up—but you’re not really there.

    In sports? The effort is just enough to say you tried.In business? You clock in, you do the work, but there’s no fire.In relationships? The passion, the romance, the energy—it’s all gone.

    You think about doing something special—buying the flowers, sending the text, making the move—but you don’t.
    Why? Because you’re stuck in the cycle.

    And now…

    Step 5: Mediocre Results and Rock-Bottom Morale

    Now the scoreboard tells the story.

    The team? Losing.The business? No growth, no wins.The relationship? Just two people existing under the same roof.

    Confidence? Gone.
    Passion? Dead.
    You’re physically still here but in your head? It’s already over.

    Step 6: You QUIT.

    And now, the cycle does what it was designed to do—it breaks you.
