EPISODE 50 IS HERE!!! Kurt Money and Kateline celebrate the big 5-0 by talking about the Dateline episode, "Dark Intentions," hosted by Andrea Canning about the death of two young women in the same Texas apartment complex in 1996. Give this a listen to find out why Kateline is confident it's the scariest Dateline of the year, if not ever. This a fitting end to our coverage of Dateline season 32 mostly because we are ignoring the Last Day retread that aired the following week. "Dark Intentions" is a banger of an episode, and so is episode 50 of I'M LESTER HOLT!
Discussed at the end of the episode are the plans for our Season One Finale episode that will introduce the first annual awards show for the ILH crew. Press play to find out what it's called, Holtheads!

Hollywood, 2003: Kristi Johnson goes missing and the ensuing investigation unearths a predator on the loose who uses James Bond for evil means. Kurt Money and Kateline are a little weirded out by Keith's blonde hair in the 2003 clips but this was a bi ol episode and tons of twists and turns. Dateline's podcast series, Murder in the Hollywood Hills, is given the tv treatment in "The Girl With the Hibiscus Tattoo."

Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the Dateline episode, "Sound and Fury," about the murder of Tiffany Pugh by the hands of the worst named DJ in Atlanta.
-
Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the Dateline episode, "If These Walls Could Talk," about the death of Susann Sills and if her fall down the stairs killed her or her husband, E. Scott Sills did. Was it....the dog? Or could it be....a pig?! Those both sound like insane options but you better believe the defense attorney in this episode mentions both those options as alternatives for what really happened that Veterans Day Weekend in 2016. Also, try as we might, Harold Henthorn finds his way into the show yet again! Stop it, Harold.

It's finally here. The crossover event of the century. True crime titans Dateline NBC and Forensic Files join forces to cover the case of murderer John David Smith and why he thinks the body in the box belongs to a goat and not one of his three ex-wives. Kurt Money and Kateline are beyond stoked to present a brand new podcast episode about a two month old Dateline and a 20-year-old FF that Kurt Money has been talking about for months. It's FINALLY HERE!!! Both episodes can be seen on Peacock, the FF is called "Deadly Matrimony," Season 9 Episode 21. IT'S GETTING HOT IN THE KITCHEN HOLTHEADS

It's here! Kurt Money has survived The Attack of the 34-year-old Dick Tracy Promotional T-Shirt and Kateline has survived her houseguests to bring you, the Holtheads, our thoughts on the Dateline episode, "Evil Walked Through The Door." Erin Gilmour and Susan Tice of Toronto were killed four months apart in 1983. It takes detectives 17 years and then another 20 or so to connect them to those DNA squares that make up the genealogy thing that Kurt Money is sure he has a grasp on. Find out for yourself on today's podcast!

Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the April 12th episode of Dateline, "Justice For Joy," about the 1991 murder of Joy Hibbs. Dateline rookie, Blayne Alexander, makes her triumphant return to hosting with this ep and she crushes it as per usual. So was it Joy's biker husband, Charlie? Or the drug deal gone wrong? Or....was it the pastor that visited Joy an hour before she died? Listen to find out!
-
Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the April 5th, 2024, episode of Dateline about the death of Anna Moriah "Mo" Wilson called, "The Night Time Stopped." This is an update episode on this case but WELL WORTH a watch because of the insane security footage they have of an escape attempt, the ACTUAL MURDER, and Colin purposely kicking camera ops at court. Keith Morrison hosted which means he's got some zingers too, check out the episode now to hear if K$ and Kateline agree on if it's actually considered "working hard" if you are on a beach while doing it.
-
Kurt Money & Kateline discuss the season 32 Dateline episode, "A Girl Named Egypt." Egypt Covington is found dead in her apartment, tied up with Christmas lights in the middle of June. It's 2017 and the legal drug dealers next door are out of town at a musical festival. So who is to blame? The Van Buren Police Department think they know who did it so they spend 3 solid years pinning it on the wrong guy. And it wasn't DNA, it wasn't a fingerprint, it wasn't an eye witness that had them so sure. It was a...lie detector test. That's it!!! Listen to this ep now to hear K$ and Kateline break down the errors and misjudgment of a no-good police department and give calm cheers to the state coppers who finally step in and just make sure when they walk into the evidence room, they do it with their eyes open. Not shut, in slumber, like the VPBD.

Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the Dateline episode, "Deadly Swap," about the death of Heather Strube in a Target parking lot in Georgia in 2009. Kurt Money is operating on zero sleep, but don't worry, Kateline takes the reins about 3 minutes in and steers this ship to the end zone. Sure, this was a Snapped episode in 2013, but now we've got Murphdog's perspective on the whole affair. Plus, My Cousin Vinny comes up again!
-
Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the March 8th episode of Dateline called, "The Killer on Camera 4," although if you ask Detective Val Vaughn this puppy shoulda been called "PICTURE PERFECT." Yet another Murphdog brings the two co-hosts plenty of stuff to discuss all about the saga of the two Jens, the tragedy that they ever fell for the BS that Daniel Green was selling and will someone turn on some lights in the Green household already?!
-
Join Kurt Money & Kateline for a discussion about the Dateline episode, "A Life Interrupted," about the murder (or disappearance?) of Jennifer Dulos, fate of Fotis Dulos and trial of Michelle Traconis. Hosted by Murphdog even though it's in AC Land, this ep has some real twists and turns in store for the Holtheads. Also, Kurt Money says it's a goose egg for his list, but um, Kmon, my man, all that Gone Girl talk is definitely a list item!!
-
This week Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the absolute banger of a Dateline episode, "True Confession," which aired February 28th, 2024. This was an update of the wrongful conviction case against Christopher Tapp, another case against a guy named Dripps and quite possibly the most rollercoaster final 15 minutes of a Dateline in history.
-
Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the Dateline episode, "The Secret in Black Rock Canyon," about the murder of Cassie Jo Stoddart in September 2006. Guess what isn't a secret? That this Dateline was nothing but a repurposed episode of "The Last Day" minus 10 minutes. Brian Draper and Torey Adamcik idolize the 1996 movie SCREAM and do their best to duplicate the murders. By "their best" I mean murder one person, fail at destroying the evidence, and then confess while blubbering. K$ and Kateline are both annoyed and horrified at what went down on that fall Friday in Pocatello, Idaho. Also, Kill Bill Volume 2 and Jackass Number 2 topping the box office the weekend of the murder are discussed. How could you NOT listen?! Press play, holtheads!
-
Kurt Money and Kateline are here, and so, unfortunately, is Remy Ramsaran, the star/villain of the Dateline episode discussed today, "The Perfect Life." The Perfect Host, Andrea Canning gave us a killer Dateline with some updates on a previous case, and not only do we get Remy's hijinks we are also blessed with the worst lawyer to ever appear on a Dateline. Ever.
-
Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the February 14th, 2024, episode of Dateline called, "Death at the Spa." Jmank hosts an episode that is jam-packed with shoebox bombs, Carole King, killer soccer moms, an FBI-attended local production of 12 Angry Jurors and one talkative actor that just will not shut up. A bomb goes off at a California spa, killing the owner Ildiko Krajnyak, but her husband is cleared from the suspect list immediately. Is one of the new men in her life? Or an older, "quirky" one? Listen now to find out! And if you didn't watch the episode and want some context to what we're talkin, head over to @imlesterholt on Instagram where every episode gets a context sheet with photos and fun videos and photoshops posted regularly. Check it out!

Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the Datline episode, "The Sleepover," about the murder of Sherri Malarik in September 2001 and the trial of his Spinal Tap groupie husband, Greg, 20 years later. This AC hosted Dateline was a solid episode enjoyed by both K$ and Kateline, even if the outcome of this trial is supes frustrating.
-
Kurt Money and Kateline are here with an EXPLOSIVE new episode of I'm Lester Holt. Kateline thinks the Dateline episode, "Family Matters," is a snooze fest from front to back but Kurt Money has Read That Book™ (Extreme Punishment, by Stephen and has extra deets on the case of Dan Markel and Wendi Adelson. They may not agree on if this is a good episode or not, but they do agree on this: Donna Adelson is a star of her very own Dateline coming in early 2025 most likely.
-
Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the Dateline episode, “Ghosts Can’t Talk.” This episode had it all from insane coincidences to nosy neighbors to the most important hop of all time. Get on it, Holtheads!
-
Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the January 2024 episode of Dateline called, "A Promise To Gloria." This episode feels familiar and Kateline says she knows why. Listen now to hear why this is actually an all-timer episode of Dateline even if it is a shorty. Boom!
