We share our love of tattoos and our very different styles of tats. Serena's tattoos are more like pieces of art and I like mine simple and dainty. We discussed "going under" and the fear of not coming back out for Serena's upcoming wisdom teeth removal and my colonoscopy. Fun Times!
Check out pictures of our tattoos on our IG @introtoadultingpod

You can't just plop them in dirt! You need the right pot size, the right soil, and to know how to water them so they live and don't get those nasty gnats! Check out our Instagram and website to view pictures of our plants! On the website, they are under the Blog.

Anxiety is a physiological reaction to our environment but it shows itself in many different forms. Working in the schools we see a lot of children who have symptoms of anxiety. Do they have stomach aches, headaches, nausea? They may be anxious about the new school year. We share our experiences with anxiety, what our anxiety feels like, how we deal with it, and how to recognize anxiety in your child.

Once I turned 50 there are certain things I just stopped giving my energy to! Cute chonies, underwire bras, coordinating outfits, wanting to fix everything, are out the window! As my sister would say, "Not my circus"! I'm all about comfort in this era! I live in leggings, jeans, and t-shirts!
Serena shares that she doesn't give a flying f*ck (her words) about what people think! She shares an experience in which she spoke up when a couple was staring at her and her friend throughout their entire meal!
I hope you enjoy our little podcast! If you do please leave a review on Apple and where ever else you listen.

We are calling this our bullshit episode. It is back to school time and that leaves us both super busy this past week! So we are sitting, sipping, and bullshitting!
Serena has a 9-5 and while she is loving it, she is exhausted! Even too exhausted to entertain ex-boyfriends and dating. We discuss learning to let go when you realize you are on a different path and learning to love being single and having lots of me time!
New teachers, support staff, and anyone that works at a school.... the principal does not run the school....the front office staff does! Attendance, Admin. Assistants, Registrar, Janitors, and all other support staff keep any school running smoothly!
-
Did you know Serena is an esthetician? She has been encouraging me to take better care of my skin and in this episode she shares the products we must use and why they are important. I need to know the why or I won't do it. If there is one product that must be used, it is sunscreen!
She also shares an experience a fellow wax-ologist had with a BRO-zillian NSFW! Sorry Grandma and Nana!
-
Serena has a new job and I have a great entrepreneurial idea for traveling!
Then we share and discuss the different ways to help your child have a fulfilling high school experience, involvement in sports, clubs, or extra-curriculars are a must! There is something for everyone. Encourage your child to be the kind and caring student! You have to be a friend to make a friend.
-
We recorded this episode while on the road home from our mini-family vacation to Mexico! It's our vacation version of the podcast! The last time I was in Mexico was over 35 years ago, I finally faced my (unfounded) fears and made the short drive to the border and then the beach. Note to others...Rocky Point in July is HUMID! I can deal with our dry heat here in AZ, but this was uncomfortably a wet hot that I could not handle!
-
We have two special guests to discuss their dating app experiences and reviews! From Bumble to Grinder and some new ones we've never heard of! Which dating apps are the best? Which dating apps are the worst? Which dating apps helps you make an actual connection? These are just some of the questions we will be discussing.

Prepare your sons BEFORE they start dating! This process starts when they are young, teaching them to care for themselves and to be self-sufficient. Encourage them to express their feelings, help foster empathy, care for others, and let them know they WILL experience heartbreak! It's normal and everyone experiences it!
Help set dating guidelines to foster healthy relationships! -
For our 20th episode we venture into the more spiritual realm of Human Design with Gianna of @frequency_and_vibes who created a human design map for each of us! We were surprised to learn of how accurate they are using only our birth dates, place, and time!
-
We discuss saying "no" without an explanation, reason, or justification, making it our new norm.
Women often feel the need to explain our choices and decisions, lest we offend someone! We both are getting more comfortable saying no and saying it often!
Serena also shares an experience where an entitled man threw an adult tantrum to get out of paying his bill!

Not every high school graduate is university bound. What are your options when you just want to start living your life?
In today's episode we discuss the alternative paths for the recent high school graduates who do not want or need to attend a four-year university! Trade and technical high schools may be partnered with your local school district. High school students can attend for free and earn high school credit! EVIT, the East Valley Institute of Technology, in Mesa, Arizona, is a popular school that many junior and seniors take to earn a trade and often start working and earning right out of high school! Research trade schools, internships, and apprenticeships in your area. Some post-secondary training is necessary.

In this episode we discuss how to help your teenager get a summer job and dating safety. Landing a job takes more than filling out an application online. We discuss ways to follow up to get the job! Do you know how to get all the important information on the person you are talking to online? What are some ways to find out if the person you are talking to is legit? Don't be catfished!

We recorded this early (I don't do anything on my day)! We hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day. We discuss what mother's really want for the day and prioritizing the OG's of motherhood, the nanas and the grandmas. Still working on perfecting our sound, thank you for hanging in there!

The "sex talk" should extend past the "birds and the bees". Once your child hits puberty, that is your key to sit them down and have the conversation! Use this opportunity to share your values, morals, beliefs, but also empower your child with knowledge! Teach your pre-teen, teenager, to protect themselves and others. You can start this process early with books that you can leave in your child's room and then encourage them to come to you if they have any questions. Their curiosity will overcome their horror! I used, "The Care and Keeping of You: The Body Book for Young Girls" by American Girl Library for my daughter when she was in 5th grade. For my son, I bought him, "It's Perfectly Normal. Changing Bodies, Growing up, Sex, and Sexual Health". If you are uncomfortable talking to your child about their bodies and sex, these books may help break that ice!
In this episode we remember the time I gave "The Talk" to Serena and it was hilarious! We made it a special day and used the resources at our local Barnes and Nobel!
Thank you for listening to our podcast!
