  • Some bands, you love them almost instantly, and that was the deal for me with Michigander, who I was fortunate to be tipped off to early on, through some mutual friends in Nashville. My admiration for Jason Singer's project has only grown with each new release, as Michigander continues to explore new sonic terrain, including on their 2023 EP 'It Will Never Be The Same' .
Jason — one of my favorite frontmen in today's live music scene, — talks about his mega favorites. And, somewhat unsurprisingly, we have at least a few in common — U2 and The Killers, among the ones he talks about here. Jason also shares how songwriting and imposter syndrome can come into play, the crucial move to Nashville and an accident that almost derailed his momentum. We also discuss the special magic of the Michigander live shows and the secret ingredients that make it all possible.
Michigander has a massive touring schedule coming up, including his headline tour across North America. Tickets and dates at: michiganderband.com

  • I am thrilled to welcome back to the show, a Nashville-based Gem, Singer-Songwriter Brontë Fall.
Teri Bracken’s career as Brontë Fall began almost accidentally. The singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in the Chicago suburbs had always been a music obsessive, dreaming of forming her bands and playing on stages. While working as the “door girl” at an indie music venue in Chicago, a chance opportunity allowed her to book her first gig as an artist.
Destiny eventually took over, carrying Brontë Fall to pursue her passion for violin at Berklee, where she fell in love with songwriting once and for all. She eventually made her way to Nashville—a dream come true considering it is a songwriter’s mecca and where she is now writing some of her most powerful songs yet.
In this episode we dive deep into her Father's untimely passing and how the dark seasons have resulted in the strongest light, embracing being a creative soul, celebrating the art of music videos, touring, and much more. And stay tuned for an exclusive performance of 'Making It Up As I Go'.

  • Days after announcing her 'All My Vices' North American headlining tour, Friend of the show JJ Wilde joins us from Canada to catch up on everything in her world. From the whirlwind past 3 years that have taken her to the top of the Rock charts, to opening up for Kiss during their farewell tour and the powerful songwriting that made the EP Best of Me (Part 1) such an incredible listen.
I loved asking JJ about the values that have made her an esteemed creative in both Nashville and around the world, and how attending karaoke nights in her youth changed her life.
Tickets for the All My Vices tour are on sale now. Dates and more at jjwilde.com

  • John Oates, Sierra Hull, and Brit Taylor join Jamie in front of a live audience at City Winery in Nashville, Tennessee to celebrate episode 500 of Jrodconcerts The Podcast. Topics discussed include finding a higher purpose than yourself, still searching for that perfect song and the highlights of what have been timeless careers for all involved.
John, Sierra and Brit then serenade the audience with 5 songs each of some of their iconic hits.
1M+ downloads and hundreds of guests later, it's hard to believe it all started as a lark. It's arguably the biggest thing I've ever done, and without you all -- my dear listeners- it wouldn't be possible.
Thank you for allowing me to do this work. I love it.
    Please enjoy!
