Welcome to the first episode in our housing law series! Throughout the series, we will discuss tenant rights under the Residential Tenancies Act, and patterns of displacement landlords might use to push tenants out. Today's episode introduces the terms gentrification and displacement, a general overview of Housing Law within the province of Ontario, and information about lease agreements - one of the most critical and important parts of a tenant's renting relationship.
