  • Sometimes break ups shake you to the core. They deplete your energy, make you question yourself and feel debilitating. Heartbreak is grief. These past few weeks have been a wake up call… A reminder I put my worth in someone else’s hands. I forgot who I was until I saw something today. I wanted to share it in case others are feeling lost. Even when working so hard to love themselves. With only 2 days left in 2021 I think this might be the wake up call we all need. ❤️ Please find me on Instagram @dreafecht and send me a DM. I want to know who you are and what you’re feeling about yourself.

  • Hey everyone! I was super excited when Case agreed to come on the podcast. I've been following him for a while. He has a super cool podcast called, New mindset who dis, which contains great bites of wisdom on mindfulness, dating and relationships. Case has also authored a series of workbooks designed to take people through the process of self-introspection and that's why I wanted to bring him on the podcast. I have his journal, Single is your Superpower, and I was really amazed at how helpful it was. Often we go through the motions of life and don’t take the time to really know ourselves. What we really dig into is how becoming mindful and more self aware is the biggest step in living a life without regrets.

    More on Case:

Case Kenny is the Chicago-based writer, podcaster and recording artist behind The New Mindset Journal.

Case (@case.kenny) refers to himself as a "dudebroguy" because as he says he isn't "any more enlightened than the average person" but what he does have is a "hunger and drive to become the best person" he can.

It was that drive and passion for growth that inspired him to start the New Mindset, Who Dis podcast in the summer of 2018.

Almost two years later, 8 million downloads and honors as an Apple Podcast top 30 podcast, Top 100 Mental Health, iHeart Radio Top 10, Deezer Editor's Choice and many more accolades, Case has made a name for himself as a prominent podcaster and mindfulness thought leader.

Want the cliff notes of what we covered?

Why Case started his podcast Where he gets his brilliant ideas for instagram Why being single is not a negative thing Why you shouldn’t buy into other’s perspectives Why “the wrong way to think about things is to believe there is a right way.” Why we shouldn’t villianzie people just because they fulfill our agenda The importance of asking why until you can’t “why” yourself anymore How we confuse honesty with the truth.

  • And by “it” I mean “it” in other words: This is definitely a sensitive topic so don’t let the littles listen in.

My amazing, brilliant, beautiful, friend and guest, Janna Denton-Howes is a Desire Coach for married women who want to want sex but just don’t. As someone who personally struggled with low libido for years, she understands the frustration of feeling like sex is just another chore on a very long to-do list. Now Janna empowers women to design experiences that feel nourishing, relaxing, and intimate through her program, Wanting it More, which has helped over 1000 women reconnect with their husbands again.

  • Ohhh momma this one is for everyone. And it’s a pretty big deal because this is the first male I have interviewed on this podcast.

So why bring a dude in our lady space? Perspective.

Joe Romano has been a close friend of mine for several years. He’s a good dude. And like any of us… not perfect. When I met him he was in a dark place post-divorce and I was on the verge of leaving my husband. And since we’ve seen each other go through a lot and supported each other - I wanted him to share his story.

P.S. This interview wasn’t pre-planned at all. Joe and I decided to have this conversation very last minute.

We discuss so much but here’s a breakdown:

Joe’s divorce story. His darkest times. His attachment style and why learning it has helped him to heal. Why he stayed in a toxic relationship for so long. Kiddos come first. Parenting as a single parent. Introducing kids to your new partner. How he’s found a great partner and the challenges they’ve overcome. His favorite relationship books. How you should go with your gut when it comes to relationships. Why we stay in stuck in the same relationship patterns. How it feels to be with a partner with a secure attachment style.

About me: I’m a twice divorced single mom who is living life her way and wants what you want -  Love and happiness...duh. I skateboard, play guitar, hit the gym, read all the books on self-love, write FB ads for living and make really bad Tik Tok videos.

  • This is dedicated to anyone suffering deep heartbreak or grief. The ones who can't sleep, who can't eat, who can't focus who can't stop thinking of what could of been. The ones begging their bodies for relief.

It was one of the hardest podcasts for me to record.

    In it, I talk about

My medical diagnosis. My fears, my pain, and why I decided to let go of a relationship that didn't serve me. Why we should all know our worth and love ourselves enough to walk away when we aren't getting the love we deserve.  Wisdom and advice on how to move forward - even when it hurts so bad you can't get out of bed.

Thank you to Rachel Kay Albers for sending me "A Curriculum For Poetry" which I read.

Thank you to my coach Brenda Brewer for her great wisdom, support, and reminding me (and other women) of how incredibly worthy we are.

And thank you to all of my wonderful friends that have come to me, sat with me while sobbing, held my hand, and reached out every day to see how I'm doing. Women truly know how to love and care for each other when it's needed the most.
