"Thelma The Unicorn" is the new animated Netflix film written by Jared and Jerusha Hess ("Napoleon Dynamite" & "Naco Libre") and directed by Jared Hess and Lynn Wang. Based on the children's book series of the same name by Aaron Blabey, the children's animated musical stars the voice talents of Brittany Howard, Will Forte, Jemaine Clement, Edi Patterson, Fred Armisen, Zach Galifianakis, Jon Heder, and Shondrella Avery. Howard, making her acting debut with this film, was kind enough to spend some time talking with us about her experience making the film, as did Will Forte and directors Jared Hess and Lynn Wang. "Loki" was a huge success for Marvel and Disney+ when it was released in 2021. Not many expected to get a second season since it was initially billed as a limited series. However, Season 2 was eventually announced, and with it came a whole new chapter in the character's journey. However, one of the newest characters introduced nearly stole the spotlight from everyone's favorite Asgardian god, and that was his variant, Sylvie, played by Sophia Di Martino. "Evil Does Not Exist" had its world premiere at the 2023 Venice International Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for its direction and writing from Ryūsuke Hamaguchi, and score by Japanese singer-songwriter and musician Eiko Ishibashi. Following their collaboration on the Oscar-winning film, "Drive My Car," the two intended to make a 30-minute short film accompanied by a live score. But as the production got lengthier and the shoot went along, Hamaguchi decided to turn it into a feature film with dialogue, which is the film we have today. Ishibashi was kind enough to sit and talk with us about her latest work which can be listened to below.
