Laina and Shionne rewatch Miss Congeniality and are wowed by the unchanged Sandra Bullock and Benjamin Bratt. (also apparently Cody Linley was in it but they have no clue where he was.) Listen as they talk about a movie ahead of its time. Miss Congeniality represents feminism, mentions lesbians, and has Michael Caine. What more could we ask for?
p.s. Heather Burns is a.k.a. Cheryl is adorbs. Yes, April 25th is the perfect date.

This week Laina and Shionne rewatch Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker’s Rush Hour….3! Allegedly the best film in the series (according to Laina and Shionne). Rewatch and listen along and see if you cringe as hard as they did! (Shoutout to Hiroyuki Sanada and Noémie Lenoir for being fire.)

This week on Nostalgia Hits, Laina and Shionne watch Big Fat Liar - Amanda Bynes' debut movie! (Spoiler alert: She kills it). This movie surprised them with another cast of A-Listers: Frankie Munez, Amanda Bynes, Paul Giamatti, Sandra Oh, Paul Giamatti, Donald Faison, John Cho, and more! The only part of that list that was a letdown was the fact that "nasty-feet-nickelodeon-man" had a part in the making of this movie.
If you wanna know what the early 2000s were like then you definitely need to watch Big Fat Liar and listen to Laina and Shionne talk about their experiences in this epis
-
Laina and Shionne rewatch the romcom classic the proposal for the umpteenth time. Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock are nudely hilarious and Betty White proves to be the national treasure that she is. Come listen as Laina and Shionne talk about the always uncomfortable stripper scene, and the newly uncomfortable iconic wood-chanting scene.
-
Join Laina and Shionne as they rewatch the children's version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith called Spy Kids!!! Instead of Brangelina they get Alan Cumming, Antonio Banderas, and a little bit of George Clooney.
This movie was a real staple in their childhoods so it brought up plenty of memories - Shionne getting stuck in the toilet, Shionne getting gum stuck in her mouth, Laina punching Shionne in the face, and Shionne having a really rough upbringing in general.
p.s. Make Shionne feel better by commenting if you were traumatized by Spy Kids too.
-
This week on Nostalgia Hits, Laina and Shionne watch What a Girl Wants starring Amanda Bynes and Colin Firth. This movie triggered many fun/meaningful discussions about parent-child relationships, individuality versus community, and how creeps shouldn't be creeps.
Also, what girls really want is more Colin Firth in leather pants.
-
Laina and Shionne get both emotional and delirious from re-watching Disney Channel's 5th highest viewed movie - Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior - Starring Brenda Song a.k.a. London Tipton.
Tighten your Karate Gi Belt and get ready for another nostalgic hit that hits hard.

Shionne watched Emperor's New Groove for the first time!! Laina cruelly dies of laughter at Yzma's demise. Is Yzma really the villain in The Emperor's New Groove or is Kuzco the real villain? This was our greatest episode yet!
