Timothée Chalamet is a talented and versatile American actor who has captivated audiences with his performances on both the big and small screens. Born on December 27, 1995, in New York City, Chalamet grew up in an artistic family. His mother, Nicole Flender, is a real estate broker and former Broadway dancer, while his father, Marc Chalamet, is an editor for UNICEF. Chalamet's older sister, Pauline, is also an actress.
Chalamet's passion for acting began at a young age. He attended LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where he honed his craft and participated in various school productions. During his time at LaGuardia, Chalamet appeared in several commercials and even had a brief role on the television series "Law & Order."
After graduating from high school in 2013, Chalamet enrolled at Columbia University. However, he found it challenging to balance his academic pursuits with his growing acting career. After a year at Columbia, Chalamet transferred to New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where he was able to create his own curriculum and focus on his acting.
Chalamet's breakout role came in 2017 with the independent film "Call Me by Your Name." Directed by Luca Guadagnino, the movie tells the story of a young man named Elio who falls in love with an older graduate student, Oliver, played by Armie Hammer. Chalamet's portrayal of Elio was widely praised by critics and audiences alike, and he received numerous accolades for his performance, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
Following the success of "Call Me by Your Name," Chalamet's career continued to soar. He appeared in a string of critically acclaimed films, including "Lady Bird," "Hostiles," and "Beautiful Boy." In "Lady Bird," Chalamet played the role of Kyle Scheible, a charming but aloof love interest of the main character, played by Saoirse Ronan. The film, directed by Greta Gerwig, was a commercial and critical success, and further cemented Chalamet's status as a rising star in Hollywood.

Chalamet's performance in "Beautiful Boy" earned him widespread acclaim and further established him as one of the most talented actors of his generation. In the film, Chalamet played the role of Nic Sheff, a young man struggling with drug addiction. The movie, which was based on the memoirs of Nic and his father, David Sheff, was a harrowing and emotionally charged portrayal of the devastating impact of addiction on individuals and families. Chalamet's performance was raw, authentic, and deeply moving, and he received numerous award nominations for his work in the film.

Chalamet played the lead role of Paul Atreides, a young nobleman who becomes embroiled in a conflict for control of the desert planet Arrakis and its valuable spice. The film was a massive commercial and critical success, grossing over $400 million worldwide and earning numerous award nominations.
Off-screen, Chalamet has become known for his fashion sense and his commitment to social and political causes. He has been a vocal advocate for environmental protection and has used his platform to raise awareness about climate change.
