Some call him the Savior of guitars aka String Jesus. 🙏🎸
Some call him Minimal Effort (actually he, himself). 🤷🏽
We (mostly) call him Mike Woods. 😎
If you've seen shows of The Ataris, Versus The World or Silver Snakes - you've definitely laid eyes on this handsome friend of ours relentlessy shredding on stage!
Or maybe at some of Flogging Molly's (and so many other bands) gigs giving some well deserved TLC to their beloved guitars.
Mike is currently on tour across Europe with his band Versus The World and sacrificed day-off morning time to spill some tea (and coffee on Conni's couch) on your favourite topic: the secret life on tour 🚍
Thank you for doing this with us, Mike.
Don't forget about the straps! -
This guy is a LEGEND! American Pie and Grey‘s Anatomy actor THOMAS NICHOLAS took some time in his busy touring schedule to talk to us - to say we had a blast is an understatement!! He‘s touring Europe with his punk band, playing shows and spreading good vibes (and funny tour stories) wherever he goes 🥳

Oh the good old days... Checkered Vans, skateboarding in parking lots (failing miserably and breaking every single bone in your body ofc), being stoked about the next summer festival's pop punk filled line-up... 🎶🛹
Thank you, Simple Plan for lending us your drummer Chuck Comeau for a little pre-show snack and chat sesh.
We're not only looking back on the late 90's and early 00's, but are also talking (music) biz and how things have shifted - both for bands/crew and fans.
Chuck also fills us in on what a typical day on a Simple Plan tour looks like and how the guys like to spend their off-time.
And ✨SURPRISE✨ we've got another Bowling For Soup story.
Thank you, Chuck for taking your time and the hangs!
(Hey Bowling For Soup, if you're down for a podcast recording and confirm if any of these things really happened - hit us up!)

Remember what your parents used to tell you back in the day?
"Don't get on a van with random people offering you candy!" 🍬🍬🍬
Well, Tom we hope your parents aren't disappointed, but to our defense, all we offered was homemade and questionably shaped Austrian funnel cake.
Besides serious grub-talk (surprise!), this is what you can expect from this fun episode with Tom May (The Menzingers):
What's the salsa-relativity-index? 🥫 Why you shouldn't trust preppy Bavarians weraing Rolling Stones t-shirts! 🚨 Are Conni and Vicky actually dating? 😯 What is a punisher? 😖Let us fill you in on all those and many many more topics.
And if you like what we do, please show some love and leave a 5⭐ review!
Thank you to @tommayallday for joining us - we had a blast! 💕

Flash those pearly whites for the camera! 😁
If you've been on a Flogging Molly cruise or any other Sixthman cruise before, you've for sure seen their outstanding video and photography footage, capturing the wild days on the boat.
Maybe you have even found yourself on one of those recordings?
Wanting to know more about the person behind the lens of Sixthman's camera, responsible for immortalizing all the fun things on the decks of the Norwegian Pearl, we invited our friend Rich Johnson to take a seat on our (borrowed) podcast sofa.
Rich is a professional media and content creator and besides his work on ships, also takes unbelievable shots of musicians like Tim Armstrong (Rancid), Noodles (The Offspring), The Bouncing Souls, NOFX, ofc our beloved friends Flogging Molly and celebrities like John Stamos (UNCLE JESSIE!!!), Shaquille O'Neal and many, many more.
Check out his fantastic work on his Instagram @spectaclephoto!
And if you appreciate what we do, we'd love for you to leave a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review ❤️

We had a HARD TIME focussing on this one with DEVIN CLARK, but hey, it was day 4 of the cruise 😅
Getting some insight on how Sixthman employees hustle in the background to make every show run smoothly!
Devin, taking care of the backline for all of the stages on the ship is also the drummer of metal band CANE HILL and shares some memories of touring the world with us🌎
(… and especially memories of what happened to them at Vans Warped Tour 2016 👀)
We also took some time to give Sixthman‘s Heather a praise for being an OG in the Flogging Molly Cruise Facebook Group and are ready to start our new podcast category: ‚Dear Heather,…‘
Ok one last question… do Kangaroos stink?
(… and don’t forget to leave a review 😘😘) -
After a *very* successful whiskey tasting, Flogging Molly's OG Dennis Casey took a seat on our "On the RoadCast" aka "On the BoatCast" couch and spilled the beans about his initial thoughts on the first SALTY DOG CRUISE , what to expect at Flogging Molly aftershow hangs and his secret fave snack 💇🏻♀️
Again we didn’t hold back with the special video effects on this one (look closely for the Fight Club-ish surprise).
Thank you, Dennis for taking your time. We for sure can’t wait for our next hangs and the upcoming FM cruise in 2025.
All aboard? Aye aye, all aboard!
If you enjoy our podcast as much as our moms do, show some love by leaving a five-⭐️ review 🙏

You know it takes two to tango. 💃🕺🏾
But it only takes one KENT JAMIESON to manage, tour manage and mix punkrock superstars NOFX!Looking back on literally decades of being out and about with these legends, Kent (a true legend himself) has for sure done and most likely seen it all. 😮
But not only NOFX can be found on this machine's resume, countless other bands have been relying on his qualities and skills, For example PENNYWISE, whose shows he mixed on the past Flogging Molly Cruise.
If you want more crazyness: go watch "Backstage Passport" on youtube, but first: C'mon aboard and join us on this brand new OTRC episode!
yours truly,
V+C
(& as always, make sure to leave 5 stars hehe)

Dreams do come true! 🤩💫
After (not so) secretly fangirling hard over THE BRONX foreeeeeever, we finally had the chance to invite their personal shred-master KEN to On the RoadCast!
If you've ever witnessed The Bronx's high-energy performance on stage, you probably wouldn't believe that their touring party is actually super calm.
Oh and thanks for getting us hooked on those Japanese Candies!
Check out this episode and enjoy Ken's valuable tour wisdom and lessons!
P.S.:
If you’re enjoying what we do and want to show some extra love, we’d be ecstatic if you left a 5* review!❤️

Ooooh oh oh it’s CASEY THE PUNK ROCK MAGICIAN ✨in a slightly NSFW edition on the Flogging Molly Cruise!! 🛳️🤫
Well, to be completely honest, if this episode was a Cinemax flick, it’d be NC-17 (or rated X for our more mature listeners).
Together with our buddy Casey, a touring magician that absolutely blows minds with his magic tricks.
We elaborated the more magical and also spicier things in life. We won’t give away too much but rest assured: this one is kinky!

They are bandmates. They are workmates. And they are... SHIPMATES!
Meet 3/4 of THE ATTACK and Flogging Molly Cruise veterans Brad, Charlie and Mikey, who squeezed in our cozy podcast nook to talk about working, drinking, playing shows together and why you might be questioning your life choices when you're in a band.
But besides making sure to keep punk rock alive, these guys also run their own merch company ENEMY INK!
Over the past years they have stepped up the shopping experience game on countless cruises (Star Trek, Damian Marley, etc.) and ofc on the legendary Salty Dog Cruise with their joint wisdom and knowledge.
Leave a 5 star review if you want us to be The Attack's background vox on the next SDC!
Oh, and Brad:
If you're landing a tad bit late on our couch because you had to see Gorilla Biscuits perform, we'll absolutely let it slide! <3

Somebody bring the liquid IV, please!
What's the price of fun nights with heavy drinking on the Salty Dog Cruise?
Having to cure the mother of hangovers the following day...
Kudos to ALL HAILs Mike and Spencer (yes - he's also in Flogging Molly) for making it out of bed (or the hot tub) and spilling some vodk... uhm tea and walking down memory lane together.
All aboard for a slightly pensive, yet hilarious new podcast episode SHIPment of On The RoadCast!
Streaming now on Spotify and AppleMusic.
Oh and btw, does anybody know what the time machine talk was about? #tooyoung

We got him hooked on JUMPY'S!
Lewis MacRae, vocalist of UK-based metalcore four-piece RITUALS joined us in the podcast van for a hilarious episode which is all about the snacks!!!
Right after touching down in Austria for their short tour alongside UP CLOSE, the guys visited the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum (where Conni might or might not touched Arnie's d*ck..) and took a deep dive into Austrian culture.
If you want to know more about Lewis' scottish heritage and his family castle (?!) or the bands biggest highlight so far: playing Download Festival this summer, listen to this brand new episode!
-
Ahoy and welcome back, ye salty dogs!
Coming in hot right after their blow-the-roof-off-this-joint set in the champagne lounge of the Norwegian Pearl, George and Johnny of PET NEEDS spill the tea (UK-pun intended) about why their band was told to GTFO Serbia, how to go to Disneyland for free and many more stories you don't want to miss out on!
Are you ready for a shipload of fun? 🚢
-
We love this woman.
Funny, smart and the voice of an angel. It’s PÄM!!
She started out as a merchandise manager for TURBOBIER and now she is building her career as a singer and songwriter, while working a day job and using her social media platform to inspire women and encourage them to be who they are.
Nothing can stop her... not even almost freezing to death while trying to pee and falling into a river in Switzerland?
Keep an eye out for this one because PÄM has big plans.
-
It’s a family affair!
After playing the sail away party during daytime (apparently one of their favorite shows ever!) husband and wife Lorna and Dan from the band Skinny Lister joined us for our first Salty Dog Cruise episode!
These incredibly sweet people make touring work with their 3 year old daughter Bonnie, with help of a lot of their bandmates and other family members.
...kudos to the captain who was stirring the ship like a real pro - the band hadn't always been so lucky when it comes to drivers... 🥴
-
Spoiler alert: this episode features a really cute dog, so we highly recommend watching it :D
It's all about STRESS!
Running his own (stress-)studio, working as a tourmanager for SEILER & SPEER, mixing shows for bands like BOYSETSFIRE or touring as a guitarist with his own Punk Rock band ANTIMANIAX.. TOM ZWANZGER never takes a break!
Check out this mildly stressful but super funny episode with our whirlwind of a friend Tom and his dog Panzer.
-
This guy is CRACKING us up. Pun intended.
This year Mike and his band DeeCRACKS will celebrate 20 years of punk rock history with a big festival at Arena Vienna. (Nov 17th & 18th 2023)
...and it was quite the journey. Including eleven different bassists (Vicky already put in her application to be number twelve).
From being banned from the United States of America for a lifetime to making it big in Japan and how their approach has changed over the years - don't miss this super funny episode :)
-
This episode is HOT!!
..and not only because of the people in it!
While building his hot sauce empire „TOM’S HOT STUFF“, Tommy Hlatky also drums in various punk rock bands like DEADENDS and A GUY NAMED LOU.
His stories about touring in Japan are hilarious!
Have you ever heard about an OWL CAFÈ? (..and even better, a HIGHLAND COW CAFÈ?)Listen and find out more!
-
Is there a better place to record the first episode of season 2 than under the Italian sun in MILAN?
And is there a better guest than DAVID BAQI, touring guitarist of Being as An Ocean and vocalist in Takers Leavers?
Both times the answer is NO.
We had such a great time chatting about moving tour memories and the importance of being a 'clutch' player in this industry.
Oh and if you want to hear the story of how Conni almost died while sleeping in a Minitours van this summer (with THE SAME driver that David was touring with when we recorded this episode.. small world) TUNE IN!!!
