  • What’s up everyone and welcome to another episode of OLIM! This episode features MD/PhD candidate, Chris Bassil. Chris studied English Literature and Composition as an undergraduate, but later realized his calling lied in medicine. He spent several years in Oncology research prior to applying to MD/PhD programs, and plans to specialize in Oncology as a practitioner/researcher. Check out this episode to learn about his path through medicine, and the life of a dual degree student!

    As an aside, Chris has been one of my best friends since 7th grade. We played soccer, basketball, and lacrosse together, were in band together, and pretty much hung out constantly throughout high school and college. We still talk and hang out as much as possible, and it was an absolute blast making this episode with him. He and I have been through ups and downs together throughout the years, and I am truly thankful to have him as a friend.
