  • Arsenal missed a golden opportunity to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool, settling for a frustrating goalless draw against Everton at the Emirates. Despite dominating possession and creating numerous chances, the Gunners were thwarted by an inspired performance from Jordan Pickford.

Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Fulham earlier in the day meant a win would have significantly boosted Arsenal’s title hopes, but Pickford’s heroics—including crucial saves from Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka—left Mikel Arteta’s side unable to break through.

Arsenal's frustrations mounted when VAR declined a late penalty appeal after a coming together between Thomas Partey and Vitalii Mykolenko. Substitutions, including the tactical withdrawal of captain Ødegaard, failed to unlock a resilient Everton defense.

The Gunners remain third, six points behind Liverpool, while Everton celebrated a hard-earned draw as they edge closer to safety.

  • In their opening Champions League fixture, Arsenal battled to a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Atalanta, with David Raya's stunning double save being the highlight of the night. Raya, who had faced scrutiny over his signing, silenced doubters with a heroic stop from Mateo Retegui’s penalty and a lightning-fast follow-up save to deny the rebound. His performance was crucial in maintaining Arsenal's clean sheet and solidifying his role as one of their standout players this season.

Mikel Arteta's side struggled to break down Atalanta’s high-pressing style, with both teams showcasing tactical resilience on a raucous night in Bergamo. Despite chances from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal couldn't find the net, but they managed to hold off Atalanta’s aggressive man-for-man press through smart rotations and a composed defensive display.

Join us as Grev and Jace break down all the key talking points, including how Raya’s reactions have become a key factor in Arsenal’s success and the tactical battle that unfolded in Italy.

  • 🎙️ Arsenal End of Season Review Podcast 🎙️

For the second consecutive year, Arsenal fans are grappling with that all-too-familiar feeling of a near miss. After a grueling 10 months of dreaming about ending a 20-year Premier League title drought, the Gunners found themselves trailing behind Manchester City in the final stretch once again.

Last season's unexpected leap from 69 to 84 points saw Arsenal transform from Champions League hopefuls to serious title contenders. However, a dramatic fall in form during the closing stages — securing just 12 points from their last nine games — has left many doubting if the team can bounce back from such heartbreak.

The start of the season saw Arsenal struggle to adjust their playstyle with new midfield signings Declan Rice and Kai Havertz. Despite the initial unconvincing performances, they managed to keep winning. The turning point came when Havertz was moved to centre-forward and the right flank of Ben White, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka began to click. For several months, Arsenal looked like the most complete team in the league — until Manchester City surged ahead once more, clinching the title by just two points.

This season was all about re-emphasis and growth, but most importantly, clarity. The team has shown they have what it takes to be contenders for years to come. With a tally of 89 points — the club's second-highest ever — and the best defensive record in the league, Arsenal has proven they are here to stay.

Even Pep Guardiola acknowledged Arsenal's staying power, highlighting Mikel Arteta's relentless drive. Yet, the true test will be how much disappointment the squad and fanbase can endure before it impacts their collective spirit.

Despite another near miss, Arteta remained defiant, urging fans not to be satisfied and promising more in the future: “Don’t be satisfied because we want much more than that,” he declared. “And we’re gonna get it.”

A stat that defines the season is Arsenal's 19 clean sheets in 38 games. Their defensive solidity was unmatched, reducing goals conceded from 43 to 28, and setting a club record with 19 clean sheets. This defensive prowess provided the foundation for their title challenge, with 11 clean sheets coming away from home.

Join us as we dissect the highs and lows of this rollercoaster season, analyse key moments, and look ahead to what the future holds for this resilient Arsenal squad. 🔴⚪
