Episodes

  • So you've finished Rise of the Runelords, but still want to listen to more of our content.

First and foremost thank you kindly! If you are looking for more, our next project is...

Welcome to Bug City Blues - a Shadowrun Sixth-World Edition Actual Play Podcast.

We have Clinton as River Bear.
    We have Alex as Pancetta.
    We have Nathan as Lockdown.
    We have Nikole as Moira.
We have Chris as Lester Moore.
And I am Connor - I'll be running the show this time around.

This episode is meant to serve as an introduction to the Shadowrun universe. We discuss briefly who we will be playing, what the setting of the game will be, and then take a deep dive into finding out what we've missed in the almost 40 years of content made between the creation of the game and the start of our project. We simply don't have enough time to get into everything (sorry, Halley's comet aficionados) but this episode should serve to prepare you for the wild, futuristic dystopia of 2080's Chicago. We only get into the weeds once or twice about The A Team and what devices should sing to you in the future! Please stay tuned for more updates - the show is currently in pre-production and looking to begin releasing around Q3 2023. Eager to share your thoughts? Did we get something wrong? Will our heroes be able to fell these fiends, or have they finally met their match?
Aristotle throws some spells away. Hugo has to finish the job. Reetin breaks the bat. Vrasken does a spin. Clinton cheats some more, makes the editor all upset.

  • THIS WEEK:
The Warriors of Light have the defeated the daemon nestled deep within the pinnacle of Avarice. A brief respite from combat allows our heroes to catch their breath and reassess the situation before proceeding forward. But more lethal threats yet await the group within the lair of the Runelord of Greed. They will need to keep their senses about them and their heads on a swivel to keep a step ahead of the forces of evil. And would somebody shut off those alarms already?!
Aristotle brought the incense. Hugo plans to renovate. Reetin is there also. Vrasken banishes. Clinton desperately tries to time-out the parties buffs. He also does this thing where he punishes Alex for being in the process of making a decision, and then makes a ruling specifically to be in disagreement with a player. This is real shitty behavior and I regret not calling him on the spot for it. Don't let your DMs be jerks, players!

  • THIS WEEK:
The Warriors of Light take a well earned breather to try and lick their wounds and reassess their situation. After one of the gang moves forward at the specific protests of another, the party will have to deal with a massive threat while being both split up and injured from the previous battle. Will they be able to gather their senses in time to best this feral foe, or will our heroes see to feed these otherworldly forces? Tune in to find out now!
Aristotle is being cautious. Hugo is being helpful. Reetin is in a hurry. Vrasken squeezes through.

  • Cloud of Ucky Yuckiness

    THIS WEEK:
The Warriors of Light continue to take advantage of illusion magics to ruin the tactics of the Runelord of Greed's defenders. Fierce, towering abominations stand between our heroes progressing further trough the pinnacle of Avarice. Their bite may be worse than their bark, but it's the smell that I really can't stand. Magics will be slung and swords will be swung - our heroes will need to defeat these foes if they wish to reach Karzoug.
Aristotle touches it. Hugo stinks up the room. Reetin recalls past deaths. Vrasken recalls past lives.

  • THIS WEEK:
The Warriors of Light have been greeted by the guardians to the entrance of the Pinnacle of Avarice. Giant infantry, spellcasting specialists and the Runelord of Greeds own champion have yet to defeat our heroes, but yet more forces lie in wait for any intruders foolish enough to tresspass. Shall our heroes continue to succeed against the forces of greed, or will they meet their doom at the throat of the world? Tune in to find out! By the way Clinton is cheating a lot in this episode - Karzoug gets way too many prepared actions, gets away with seeing magic effects. Things are given surprise rounds when they shouldn't get them. Real ameteur behavior. Everyone boo Clinton on your own time.
Aristotle uses his weapon. Hugo is the healer. Reetin is a Barbarian. Vrasken gets offended.

Now, with the threats continuing to advance towards our heroes, the Warriors of Light will need to unleash everything in their arsenal to best the forces of the Runelord of Greed.
Aristotle changes his mind. Hugo shares the Yellow Sign. Reetin gets the big crit. Vrasken has stankbreath.

Have the Warriors of Light finally met their match? Tune in to see if they can find their way out of this situation in one piece!
Aristotle has a peculiar set of sensibilities. Hugo juts wants his goddamn eyes back. Reetin questions his choice in friends. Vrasken wants to rule the world.

  • THIS WEEK:
The Warriors of Light continue to assault the throne room of Karzoug, the Runelord of Greed. Thanks to powerful magics our heroes find themselves rendered invisible, which makes the combat between those who would guard the Pinnacle of Avarice quite difficult. Will our heroes be able to defeat the guardians of this spire, or will they be able to sniff our and snuff out the group? Tune in now to find out!
Aristotle tells it like it is. Hugo bathes regularly. Reetin swears he is a Dwarf. Vrasken wasn't listening.

It's finally time. Our heroes stand at the base of the Pinnacle of Avarice - a massive spire that sits at the throat of the world and houses our resident Runelord of interest. Whatever guards stand at the other side of the doors best steel themselves - the Warriors of Light are approaching.
Aristotle blinks around. Hugo is there if anyone needs him. Reetin performs well. Vrasken flies in.
