In this episode, I broke down everything coming out of Texans Mini Camp. We discussed CJ Stroud’s health update (he’s fine like we expected), the Nick Chubb signing becoming official, standouts from the first few days of camp, and went through the key interviews from the last 48 hours. It was a lengthy one, and fair warning — I did curse a little excessively this time, so apologies in advance!

In this episode, I’m joined by Coach Dan Casey — a former Offensive Coordinator, current author, consultant, and one of the most influential voices in offensive football on social media. Known for his creative breakdowns and ability to teach the game in a relatable way, Dan has built a massive platform helping coaches, players, and fans better understand the art of offensive football.
We talk about his journey, how he built his platform, and his approach to teaching and consulting. We also dive into the Texans' offense under Bobby Slowik in 2024, why it struggled, and what Dan expects from Nick Caley’s system in 2025. We touch on CJ Stroud’s shoulder situation, why it appears to be more of a pitch count/load management approach, and not something fans should panic about.
In the second half, I host a live Q&A, where I walk through my latest article breaking down the CJ Stroud injury talk, why I have a low level of concern, and how this is likely just a minor, preventive step as the team ramps up. I also recap the last two days of Texans OTAs, with key takeaways from DeMeco Ryans, Kamari Lassiter, Jalen Pitre, and Christian Kirk’s pressers.

CJ Stroud didn't throw during Day 3 of Texans OTA’s, but I’m not concerned — and I’ll explain why. We’ll go over all the key takeaways from practice, including more offensive line shuffling, plus breakdowns from Nick Caley and Matt Burke’s press conferences. I’ll also touch on Yordan Alvarez’s injury and what it means for the Astros moving forward.

Day 1 of Texans OTAs is in the books, and I’m breaking it all down. I dive into the wide receiver group and early signs of who’s emerging, plus my take on the offensive line combinations they trotted out — and what that might tell us about the team’s philosophy up front.
We also watch some clips together and break things down live — from player drills to body language and how certain guys are moving.
I give deeper analysis on the interviews from DeMeco Ryans, Nico Collins, Will Anderson Jr., and Azeez Al-Shaair — including leadership takeaways, culture-setting comments, and standout quotes.
And no, I’m not concerned about C.J. Stroud or others not practicing. I explain why these OTA absences aren’t a big deal and what really matters this time of year.
It’s all right here on Second Guessan with Stressan.

We had an incredible sit-down with Steph Stradley (@StephStradley), longtime Texans writer and voice of the fanbase, to learn more about her story and her deep roots in Houston football. Steph shared how she went from being an Oilers fan to starting on Texans message boards, becoming a member of the Traveling Texans, and tailgating with the iconic LoneSpot crew. She's also a former Texans Fan of the Year, a practicing lawyer, and someone who's constantly thinking about how we, as fans, can create the best home-field advantage possible.
From bringing energy to the stadium to uniting the fanbase, Steph brought real insight into what it means to be a Texans diehard.
After our conversation, I dove into a live Q&A and broke down the entire 2025 schedule, game by game, with reactions and analysis.

Former NFL WR Cecil Shorts III joined the show for an incredible conversation about his journey, his current work with the Houston Texans, and his insight into the team’s offseason moves.
We dove into his football background, from following in Pierre Garçon’s footsteps at Division III powerhouse Mount Union to being drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars and later playing for the Houston Texans. Cecil also talked about his current role as the gameday emcee for the Texans and his work as the host of Bleav in Texans (@bleavnetwork) and co-host of The Ultimate 216 (@ultclesports).
Cecil shared his thoughts on the Texans’ wide receiver room, including a high-end comp for rookie Jaylin Noel and how uniquely Jayden Higgins runs routes for his size. He also made the case that Nico Collins is already a top 5 WR in the NFL.
We broke down Houston’s offseason — both free agency and the draft — and how it reflects a cultural reset, especially along the offensive line. Cecil pointed out that some of the changes felt like an indictment of last year’s coaching and scheme. We discussed what we might see new OC Nick Caley implement in this offense that we didn’t see last year: more 4-WR sets, quicker hot routes, and giving CJ Stroud more control at the line.
