Ofentse is the first black South African woman to conduct and own an orchestra. She started playing her first instrument at the age of 12. Ofentse studied architecture as a way to combine her love of the arts with numbers but never let go of her love of music.
Today she is the owner of Anchored Sounds, an all-black symphony orchestra.
In this episode, Ofentse shares how she took the leap from architecture to conducting and all the many many challenges she faced along the way.

Dr Katlego is a University of Pretoria MBChB graduate. She is a self-trained makeup artist and the founder of Beats by Kaz. Having recently become a mom, she decided to start Clueless Moms, a platform for moms to come together, share knowledge and experiences and gain knowledge from experts as they enter postpartum.
In today’s episode, Dr Katlego shares about her journey growing up and all the challenges she faced including a dive into her experiences with colourism. Today’s guest is Boipelo Mabe.
Boipelo is one of the Miss South Africa Top 3 Finalists for 2017 but what many people may not know is that prior to that she had been in the pageant industry from the age of 6 when her mom got her into pageants in order to build her confidence.
Boipelo grew up navigating the socio-economic dynamics of being from the township while attending urban schooling. These contrasts in the worlds that she existed in are part of what drove her to eventually become one of the top 3 of Miss SA, embark on a number of entrepreneurial ventures and now to carving her way through the corporate world to become the Digital Communications Manager at one of the leading telecommunications companies in South Africa.
In today’s episode Boipelo takes us through her journey of navigating different industries at once, the impact of the Miss South Africa pageant on her life as well as literally creating her own roles in the corporate world and so much more.

Today's guest is Gugu Mfuphi. Gugu holds many titles including orator, moderator, broadcast journalist, senior anchor and so many more. She has also recently presented her first Tedx talk with the University of South Africa.
Having studied accounting in university, Gugu quickly realized that the typical accounting route would not be the one for her and joined the campus radio station as a creative outlet. This is where her media career started.
