Every day, members of the New Zealand Defence Force achieve extraordinary things.
The Unclassified podcast brings to light memorable first-hand tales of courage and
commitment, service and sacrifice.
Season one looks at the NZDF’s significant contribution over more than 20 years to regional security in Afghanistan, and includes previously unheard stories about the heat of battle, the role of the SAS, keeping the faith in times of tragedy, and the lasting impacts of this deployment on those who served and their loved ones at home.
Season two includes experiences of life on the front-line at home and overseas, such as daring rescues at sea and on the ice, the chaos of evacuating New Zealanders from Kabul as Afghanistan fell to the Taliban, the aftermath of the White Island eruption, and the reality of coming under a barrage of rocket attacks in Iraq. -

Narrated by Elle Fanning, One Click explores how a single click on the internet can change your life forever. Season 1 tells the story of DNP (2,4-dinitrophenol), an explosive chemical originally used in WWI-era munitions factories that is now being sold on the internet as a diet pill leaving hundreds dead in its wake. Together with journalist Jessica Wapner, Elle Fanning traces the history of DNP and asks, why (despite the perils) have so many turned to DNP and what does it say about the health of our society?
New York Times: “This mind boggling investigative series ... plays much like a horror story”
Vanity Fair: “A riveting look at the destructive consequences of DNP’s second life as a fat-burning pill”
Harper’s Bazaar: “Gripping”

On November 28, 1979, an Air New Zealand jet took off from Auckland Airport on a sightseeing trip to Antarctica. There were 257 people on board. Hours later everyone was dead. Somehow, the plane had flown directly into the Erebus volcano. This was a disaster that shattered a country’s psyche. In the decades since, grief gave way to blame, anger and recrimination. Who was responsible for so many deaths? Was there a cover-up? How could a plane just fly into a mountain? To mark the 40th anniversary of the disaster, Michael Wright and Katy Gosset explore why New Zealand’s deadliest disaster was also its most controversial; why a nation was incapable of moving on; and how it was captured by one famous phrase: ‘an orchestrated litany of lies’. White Silence will be released daily from November 8, 2019.

Solarpunk Presents is a podcast that explores the people and projects working on bringing us a better world today.
Solarpunk is more than just an idea, more than just an aesthetic. Those inspire us, but where do we go from there? How do we put the values and visions described in solarpunk fiction and art into action in the here and now? What does that look like, translated into the reality of our present moment, into the places and spaces where we’re at? Hosts Ariel Kroon and Christina De La Rocha are producing podcast episodes featuring interviews with people working to make the world a better place right now, as well as discussions of solarpunk, DIY, aesthetic, housing, and more. Join us as we explore what #solarpunk looks like in the present.
