Gav is joined by Jon, MTC & Arron as well as the draft captains in a bumper episode that examines the 6OP season goals, the final month of the regular season and the preparation for finals day, as we prepare to lower the curtain on the 2024 season. We also have Jon’s account from the NLU Roost Championships in Sweetens Cove, and the all-important final updates as we find out Huw the winners, and perhaps with more at stake the losers, of the season long draft battle are and what their respective punishments might entail.
So, join us as we find out if the elephants showed any panache, or if the OoMbots managed to overhaul any of their human overlords.

We’re into the final month of the Order of Merit and in a disconcerting bout of efficiency, we are back already. This time, we are joined from all over the place by each of the draft captains to chat through August’s controversial results and the OoM season as a whole.
In typically Canadian fashion, long-time leader Dan has faltered over the past couple of months with the finishing line in sight. Did his team steady the ship in August, or have Pete and Jon further closed the gap?

Late but worth the wait !
The boys are back, sans MTC and are joined by former CFO of Why comb Wanderbears, Pete Couhig as we discuss the Panache social club, his numerous and totally redundant development squads, and the state of golf stateside.
Meanwhile Arron returns from his trip to Central America with some interesting anecdotes about monkeys, and Jon gives his monthly, well six weekly, update on the Order of Merit standings, as we head towards our season crescendo.Send us a text

June has come and gone, so OoM 2024 is 50% done. Arron is off saving turtles in South/North America and last month’s guest is busy researching microphones on Amazon so there’s no Herr Ironside, but No Hair Irons, MTC and Jon are joined by longtime-Flocker and draft captain Huw to discuss the season to date and recap a busy month for the wider RACDG, with events having taken place across four countries.
There’s also the monthly whip through the OoM standings and the draft transfers.Send us a text

We’re well into the meat of the golf season. Join Six, Over Par as we recap May’s RACDG events at Goswick, Huntercombe, Sunningdale and Swinley Forest, where today’s special guest, Herr Ironside, went very close.
We’re also two months into the Order of Merit, so there’s the usual run down last month’s leaderboard, a look at the overall standings in the race to Tennessee and many, many zeroes to discuss.
Has last month’s Canadian guest retained his lead at the top of the OoM draft standings? There’s only one way to find out. Well, you could just read the chat I suppose, but have a listen anyway.

Our first monthly recap of the year is here as we are joined by incumbent Captain Hocking to talk about April.
Jon sweeps up another Flock meet off a dodgy Cap, Gav goes down under while Arron’s game goes under and MTC has perspective out the ass.
There’s also transfer madness in the Draft after month one and lots more laughs beside. Come on in and join us!Send us a text

Season four of the Order of Merit starts imminently, the RACDG MacKenzie Cup takes place in St Andrews next week and the Masters is just around the corner. It’s a guaranteed Wills and Kate speculation-free zone as Six, Over Par returns.
We discuss our early season form (or lack of), the new Roost Series and the improved OoM draft, now featuring additional captains from around the Flock and some frankly awful team names which even LIV would reject.
Golf season proper starts now! Jump in…Send us a text

6OP returns to natter about the upcoming Order of Merit Finals Weekend at The Warwickshire. There’s also a full rundown of the regular season final standings, along with September’s winners and a round up of what it all meant for our internal draft.
Did anyone catch long-time leader Jon and was Gav able to hoist himself off the bottom and avoid the dreaded forfeit (TBD)?
We also chat about the recent Roost Club Championships at Sweetens Cove, where Jon was part of RACDG Europe’s four man team who hoped to bring it home. Was Europe on fire? Was the USA terrified? Did anyone get shot? Find out all of this, and more.Send us a text

With Gav back from his holiday, there’s plenty to catch up on in this slightly delayed 6OP pod. Arron returned safely from the Far East in time to capture the third major of the RACDG year – the Cock of the North. We’ll recap both the COTN at Close House and July’s Calluna Cup, decided over 36 holes in tough conditties at Hollinwell.
There’s also a look back to the first Roost Major, held at Sutton Coldandverywetfield, where a couple of Flockers incredibly managed to shoot under level net, despite having to putt through lakes on every green. We’ll also have the usual updates on the Order of Merit and internal 6OP draft, goals and challenges.

With Arron sweating his arse off building schools out in Vietnam, it’s just the three of us this month. We take a look back at a busy June, with Flock events at Enville, Littlestone and out in Belgium/Netherlands. The Order of Merit is at the halfway stage and it was a banner month for one of the 6OP boys.
There’s also a preview of the upcoming Calluna Cup at Hollin(g)well and the first ever Roost Major at Sutton Coldfield, as well as the usual updates on goals and birdies, along with a wrinkle in the OoM draft, where Jon has risen to the top, despite half of his squad being poached.

May, The Pod, be with you.
We take a look back at the month that was May, as MTC bemoans the loss of his game in a dark room, Gav reflects on a north creeping handicap and Arron recounts his time on Tour.
Jon characteristically detonates all unworthy sports and we give you the update on the latest transfer window, where the revolving door at Casa Arshad rotates more than ever.Send us a text

As the season proper ramps up, Gav, MTC, Arron and Jon get together to chat about their April golf, post-MacK. There’s plenty to discuss, including a day out in Norfolk, an upcoming national championship and some uncharacteristic on course behaviour from the Gateshead Giant.
The boys also run through the results of the opening month of the RACDG’s Order of Merit and make the first transfers for their season-long draft.Send us a text

What better way to cure your ‘Post Mack Blues’ than to indulge the 6OP boys as they recount a week of Beer, Bogeys and Blister Plasters.
Join Gav, Jon, MTC and Arron as they recount their magical week in the home of golf, look at the wider landscape of the OOM and resent the absence of 36 hole days from their normal day to day lives.

Six, Over Par is back for year three. As the golf season proper edges ever nearer, Gav, Jon and MTC are joined by new recruit, Arron, to discuss the impending return of the Order of Merit.
There’s also the small matter of an upcoming trip to St Andrews for the opening major of the RACDG season, the MacKenzie Cup, where 64 Flockers will do battle over three rounds at the Home of Golf.
Who fancies their chances? Will the boys get lucky in the ballot for The Old Course? And when will Gav realise that 1215 isn’t a legit tee time? A cracking week in store!Send us a text

The 2022 Order of Merit season is complete. Gav, Jon and MTC come together for one last time this year to chew over Finals Weekend at Belton Woods.
Josh Humbler also joins the pod - his 40 points was more than enough to comfortably hold off the competition and secure the second annual OoM title.
We also run through all of the weekend prize-winners and key talking points – the banana surplus, lingering fog, a missing dinner and a wooden spoon.

It’s the penultimate 6OP episode of the year! After six months of fierce competition, there is now less than a week to go until the 2022 Order of Merit concludes at Belton Woods.
Gav, Jon and MTC have a natter about the upcoming weekend, where there’s a small field, but a swelling prize haul.
We also hear about Jon’s defence of the final major of the RACDG season at The Shut, where MTC was also in attendance, unlike his golf game.Send us a text

Another regular season of the Order of Merit has been and gone. Gav, Jon and MTC are joined by the incredibly consistent and deserving winner as they look ahead to the 35-man Finals Weekend at Belton Woods in November.
Away from the OoM, there’s the usual discussion around our respective golfing months, including a precis of the RACDG Cock of the North at Moortown and Alwoodley towards the end of September, and a brief chat about the upcoming final major of the season – The Shut.
