While Rob feels like his experiences have shaped the direction of his studies, he also chats about the importance of choosing a path that speaks to your own personal goals and dreams rather than one you think you should be limited to or feel compelled to do, solely based on identity.

Everything we do these days has an attached consequence and navigating through the world with this realisation can be a lot. Whether it’s buying clothes we don't necessarily need, not sorting out the recycling properly or aiding carbon emissions from budget holiday flights, most of us have experienced guilt about our consumption habits at some point. Shauna and Orla dive into this 'consumer guilt' and the forms it can take, particularly during a global pandemic.

This podcast speaks to people working on helplines or 'active listening' services throughout the last year. With the country in lockdown and everyone spending much more time at home, vulnerable people are facing more challenges than they normally would. Although many face-to-face mental health services have been temporarily suspended or had their services scaled back, helplines have remained open throughout the pandemic.
Conor speaks to Lee Daly, a volunteer with Childline, and Rory Fitzgerald, Regional Director of Samaritans, on their experiences of providing remote listening services for people in need throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Childline is 1800 66 66 66 and at childline.ie

Have you ever wondered what your phone is made of? What kind of journey it made before reaching your hands?
In the last two episodes of our podcast series on the Democratic Republic of Congo, we’ll explore conflict minerals and supply chains.
The DRC is a country with a massive abundance of mineral resources. This should be a blessing, but it has also proved to be a curse – for many seek to secure these minerals for their own economic advancement.
To get to the bottom of this issue, we’ll be talking to Sasha Lezhnev of The Sentry, who shares his expertise on supply chains, mineral extraction, and conflict in the DRC.
