This week's episode is all about the animals of Afghanistan and the incredible American woman who stayed behind in 2021 to protect them. Dr. Charlotte Maxwell-Jones is an inspiration to anyone who seeks to live a life of service. She has been on the ground in Afghanistan for over a decade rescuing animals with her non-profit Kabul Small Animal Rescue (KSAR) that employs over 90 local staff members. Most recently, along with KSAR employees and a network of volunteers all over the globe, she orchestrated the largest international airlift of domestic dogs and cats EVER.
