In today's episode of Talking Decon Laura has a chat about the housing crisis with St. Pete local, Kyla Kelly. Kyla is a professional circus performer and instructor in the Tampa Bay/St. Pete area who currently lives out of a van with her husband and their pet dog, Gunner. Kyla and her husband were forced to move out of their apartment rental at the end of 2021 when their landlord decided to sell their unit. Because of prior loans and inflation during Covid, Kyla and her husband have been unsuccessful at finding a new rental due to their poor credit. The catch? Kyla and her husband both make above minimum wage, making them unqualified for financial assistance. Kyla has been documenting her entire journey of living in her car on TikTok where she has amassed a community of 30K+ followers. Between 1978 and 1980 they murdered 10 victims, most of which were teenagers that they kept as sex slaves before murdering them.

In today's episode of Talking Decon Laura, Steve, and Fiona discuss Robert "Willy" Pickton. Pickton is a Canadian serial killer and former pig farmer. Pickton is convicted of the second-degree murders of six women. In December 2007 he was sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole for 25 years. This is the longest sentence available under Canadian law for murder.

This murderous duo meet in prison and terrorized South California, murdering five teenage girls in five months in 1979. These two were particularly cruel, raping and torturing their victims before murdering them.

This case involves 11 murders, and a total of four people were arrested and charged with the murders. These murders involve torture and even a bit of cannibalism.
