Host Babur Ilchi sits down with Dr. Eric Schluessel, Associate Professor of History and International Affairs at the George Washington University to talk about his latest book, an ambitious translation of Musa Sayrami's "Tarikh-i Hamidi", covering the Muslim rebellions against the Qing Empire in 19th century East Turkistan. They also talk about Turkic historiography, becoming a historian and how to approach it, and the importance of Uyghur history and historians now more than ever.

  • Tarim Talks with Subi Imam, owner of The Six Prints, a screenprinting shop in Toronto, Canada! Subi recently launched the Etles Hoodie project, incorporating the traditional Uyghur design into modern day fashion, donating the profits to the recently founded Uyghur Canadian Learning Center & Mosque in Ontario.

    Subi talks about how he became a screenprinter, what he loves about fashion, future project ideas, and how he views design as an art that draws from the world around him.
