For our 250th episode we just chilled out and talked. This episode consists of: Granblue Fantasy, arguing with old people about the weather, and last but certainly not least, having therapy with ChatGPT. So all in all I’d say it was a pretty standard week for us.

Two best friends go on an adventure to find the City of Gold, and make friends with a horse along the way. They run into some locals and quickly become venerated as gods. You know, just a couple dudes being guys. There is this beautiful woman that joins their team, but I shan't speak of her, lest I sin. They sealed the hidden city away, and all lived happily ever after.

Welcome to our fifth annual Hjönse Awards! There were a few good contenders for the award this year, but ultimately, as usual, we have come to a consensus. This year we have chosen Speed Racer, the living action adaptation from 2008. For those of you who may not know. This award is given to a film or series that we thought was going to be bad, or had little expectation for, but turned out to be great and surprised us in some way.

It’s that time of year again; where we look back on all the games released in 2024, and share our feelings on them. There were a few great games this year that have become regulars in our collection. Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Helldivers 2 to name a few. I made sure to highlight some other big names to talk about as well.

One of your dad’s archenemies comes back from the dead just to beat you up for crying. It apparently “triggers” him, and reminds him of your dad back when they were young. Then, to make matters worse, he starts beating up your friend and sister-in-law just for being there. What a jerk!

It’s hard to believe that someone can hold a grudge from when they were babies, but Broly can, and boy does he hate Goku. As per usual Goku is pretty unaware, while Broly is seething every time he lays eyes on him. Broly is crazy, he literally told these goblin people: “What do you expect from a true freak?” Piccolo help!

In this week’s episode we had my brother, The Elusive Second Son, Eric on the podcast again. After we were finished eating Thanksgiving dinner we got to talking and he mentioned doing an episode on this movie which he starred in. We didn’t talk much about the movie, instead we talked more about our history in the film industry.

Join us as we go on an adventure to find The Boy’s step mom, but we get lost along the way in the Sorcerers Tower. Along the way we ran into his fire mom, but much younger. She helps guide us to our Gruncle who has been serving this giant magic rock from the old gods. Everything should be fine, right?

The final part of the Patlabor OVA is finally here, and boy is it sad to see it go. Buckle up as we chase down a stolen big rig that gotten stolen again! The payload you ask? Oh, it's just a super cool all red prototype labor. At least it all ends with a happy ending.

Let’s join the gang again this week as they try to stop the military from taking over all their stuff. Of course it had to happen while everyone was on winter vacation. Duty calls, am I right? After much anticipation, the time has finally come! Not only did we get Ethan in the studio, but Chase as well. I won’t even begin to tell you how lengthy of a summoning ritual that was.
Once upon a time there was a man who didn’t want to die. He stumbled into being a father and family man until his past haunts him, and takes everything away from him, in the form of a giant radioactive dinosaur. That’s when he dawns the famous leather jacket.

I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am to be back in the Patlabor universe. It’s been too long. Imagine this feeling for a moment: You have to make a difficult decision when defusing a bomb, and it all comes down to these last two wires. What do you do when your crush/soon to be coworker comes up and chooses for you? You did it! She says, mockingly.

In this week’s episode we finally got Ethan on the show, but it was far too late to watch anything so we just had a nice conversation to catch up a little. It was pretty much the standard fair for us, we talked about video games and how busy our lives are right now. To keep up tradition I yapped about music for a while, so don’t worry.
