Our guest today is Tom Chapman, an award winning barber, author, public speaker and international educator who has made it his mission to propel the stigma of mental ill health among men into the mainstream.
After losing a friend to suicide, Tom Chapman decided to do something about the biggest killer of young men in the UK.
In 2015 founded the Lions Barber Collective, an international group of barbers who have undergone training in how to recognize symptoms of mental ill health in clients and signpost them to relevant support services. They now also provide training that enables other barbers to recognize, talk and listen out for symptoms of depression - and potentially save a life.
Tom & I have been on a couple of panels together already, so was great with him on a 1-2-1 basis and hear his personal journey.

Today's guest is a remarkable man with a very powerful story. He is a Life Coach, Mentor & Motivational Speaker in the UK and Dubai.
I can say I've had the honour of being in his company and the energy he has and the ferocity in which he attacks life is nothing short of incedible.
Darren was told he'd never walk again after a botched robbery that saw him shot in the back and left paralysed at just 28 years old.But through sheer grit, determination and a 'never quit' mindset - he defied what the doctors (and himself at one time) thought possible.
Hear him open up about his full story - the dark times, the mental struggles, the feeling of hopelessness, but also the turning point and the remarkable comeback journey!
