Welcome to episode #224 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, Major 4 has concluded, and the battle for champs is ahead. Following our predictions in the previous episode, we cover the actual results, and the biggest takeaways from the major. We had lots of surprising upsets that sealed their fates for making champs, and some who have made serious strides in the potential of making a deep run at champs. With Thieves taking the win, and now being tied with FaZe 2-2 in major wins this year, we have a serious battle for who is the superior team, and with their current performance they most likely will return to grand finals. Finally, we end with the discussion of Attach announcing his retirement from professional COD, and we cover the legacy that he leaves behind, and the path that is ahead for him.
Do you think it will be a FaZe and Thieves rematch at champs? If so, who do you think is winning it all? Who is your dark horse team going into champs? Finally, what do you think is next for Attach? Did he retire too early, or was the timing right? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #223 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we have some very interesting rumors out now that are saying we will have wallrunning in Black Ops 7, as they see this as the continued evolution of omnimovement. We cover our initial thoughts on this, and cover the bigger issue of how this will be able to be pulled off using rumored Black Op 2 maps. The main topic for this episode is all Major IV. With the final week of online COD in the books, we cover our bracket prediction for the final major of the Black Ops 6 season before we end with champs. We know the chances of seeing FaZe and Thieves back on Sunday is very likely, but with the uncertainty of OpTic and Heretics, there may be some room for potential upsets on the horizon. We give our honest predictions, and then end with a bracket that would make the storyline going into champs that much better.
What do you think of the potential that wallrunning will make a return to Black Ops 7? Do you think this is a good idea, or do you want it to stay as boots on the ground? Finally, who did you predict as the Major IV winner? Do you think we’re gonna have the Major IV winner take champs as well, or will we have a new winner? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #222 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we start off with some reminiscing on the old days of gaming all night, and how we feel games haven’t been as good in recent years to make us want to play all night; especially with COD. This is still due to a lot of issues that have continued to go unfixed, particularly the cheaters that lots of players still deal with daily in multiplayer and warzone. We cover the how and why that these changes aren’t resolved. Finally, we close out with the addition of Mercules to OpTic Texas, and the talks around him being a generational player. With this pickup, it leaves us talking about lots of mid-tier teams and their lack of roster changes. We discuss the pros and cons of making changes overall, and at this point in the season.
When was the last time you gamed all night? Do you think games have gotten worse, or have we gotten more picky with our games? Do you think cheating will always be an issue in COD, or will Activision fix it at some point? What do you think of Mercules and his performance with the team? Will he get them back to the top, or is it too late? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #221 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we start off with the massive, yet unfortunate news of GTA VI being delayed until 2026. Though the demand is there for it to come out now, we cover why this delay is a good sign, and the importance of quality over hitting a deadline in gaming. We then shift to some rumors that are floating around regarding the battle pass for next year’s COD. Rumor has it that there will be even more exclusive content and potential game modes that will be locked behind a paywall. This should come as no surprise, however it is a big concern regarding how far they take this, and we discuss the potential problems that could arise from this.
What are your thoughts on delays in gaming? Does it bother you that GTA VI has been delayed into 2026, or are you excited regardless? What are your thoughts on the potential paywall in the battle pass for next year’s COD? Would you buy it, or does it depend on what they have to offer? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #220 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we have some serious news that has been leaked for COD 2026, and most of it is not looking good already. There was recently a leak regarding the movement system they plan to implement, and their choice to not be continuing with omni movement. We discuss the possible move going forward with COD where they stick to one movement system, or if this flip-flopping of systems is what they should continue for the future. There has also been leaks that the campaign for COD 2025 is not living up to expectations, thus leaving us wondering if developers could put more time into what really matters when making a good COD.
What are your thoughts on developers continuing to create their own movement system every year instead of sticking with omni movement? Do you think it was a game-changing system, or has it been overhyped and developers should continue creating their own twist on the movement? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #218 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we have some major leaks and rumors towards COD 2025, which is being labeled as Black Ops 7. We have some confirmations regarding the omni movement returning, as well as the setting and timeline being after Black Ops 2, and being set in Japan. We share our excitement and trepidation towards this move, as we are curious if players will feel burnt out on a very similar experience to Black Ops 6 again, or we trust that Treyarch will deliver and bring us another great title. We then end on some updates regarding Verdansk and its success in bringing people back to COD, and cover another very interesting weekend of CDL matches, as teams and storylines continue to develop.
What are your initial thoughts on these Black Ops 7 rumors? Do you think this game will play exactly like BO6, or will it be completely different? Should Treyarch focus their efforts on a better ranked play system this year, or leave it and handle the cheating situation? Finally, have you been playing Warzone? If so, what do you think of the addition of Verdansk, and the hope that they continue improving and developing Warzone? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #217 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we start off with a trip down memory lane on old handheld consoles, and the recent discussion around the Switch 2 reveal and pricing issues. We share our thoughts on how we believe this will become an even bigger issue going forward, as developers look to charge more for games, and gamers continue to lose faith in developers. We then shift to this week’s CDL matches, and give some analysis on the teams that have been trending upwards, and give our opinions on some mid-tier teams that didn’t make the necessary changes. This will play a big factor into who’s making champs and who is gonna sit out until EWC.
Do you think games will get more expensive as the years go on, or is $70 the standard price we will still continue to expect? What were your thoughts on ROKKR and Vegas with their new teams? Will they be playing spoiler or will they continue to regress? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #216 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we have lots of big CDL news to break down, as there have been lots of teams in the mid to lower pack who have made big team changes to help fight and secure their spot for COD champs in a few months time. Some big names have been shifted around, and we cover all the moves and our opinions on how these teams will perform, either positively or negatively. Finally, we end with some talk on the season 3 roadmap that has been released. With Verdansk being the main focus for Call Of Duty, the multiplayer side of the roadmap is lacking, and we share our thoughts on the “promise” of getting more maps, and the hope that these maps will make it into ranked play or the CDL, as we are in desperate need for new maps to keep things fresh.
Who do you think made the best moves during this portion of rostermania? Will any teams make a big jump in their performance and standings, or will some changes not matter? What is your thought on the current OpTic roster? Will they be able to get back to winning this season? Finally, what do you think about the lack of multiplayer content in season 3, and focus on Verdansk? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #215 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we break down a very exciting Major II tournament, filled with lots of unexpected results and runs from teams we did not expect. This event showed us a lot from the teams in the midfield, as some that we have come to expect on Sunday ended their tournament early, and a few teams fighting for 4-6th made an appearance on Sunday. We cover the big matches in this major that led to some big story lines, and give our thoughts on what led some of these teams to have success, and what other teams are going to be thinking about over the coming weeks. It is becoming very clear who the best teams are in this game, and we share our thoughts on what needs to be done so we can have a closer fight at the top.
What was your biggest takeaway from this major? Did you predict most of these matches correctly? Do you think FaZe has gotten even better, or did the Thieves just not show their potential this major? Do you think OpTic will come back and make it to Sunday in Major III? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #214 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we are ramping up for Major 2, and we are beyond excited! There is a strong fight for the top spot between FaZe and Thieves, as well as the fight for 3rd with the current struggles of OpTic. That being said, OpTic have made the statement that Kenny has officially been released from the starting roster, implementing that he is no longer a part of the organization. With this change, the rumor is that Skyz will be returning to the CDL with OpTic, and the fanbase has been divided on whether this is the right move or not. We break down our thoughts on the move, and our overall position on OpTic. We close out with our bracket prediction for Major II.
With the Major out of the way and our bracket broken, did you think any of our predictions were insane, or did your predictions look similar? What were the biggest upsets of the tournament for you? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #213 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we continue with the topic of CDL teams and their current standings, as we have another week of matches, and another eye opening round of games that have us wondering what is next for these teams. Finally, we close with some of our hopes with season 3, as there have been rumors of multiple new maps on the way, and the possibility of them coming to ranked play and the CDL.
What are your thoughts on the Battlefield gameplay and news that we’ve seen so far? Are you going to be playing it, and will it compete with COD? Welcome to episode #212 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we do a full recap on the 2nd and last minor tournament in the CDL. We had some expected runs, and some that have people wondering who is at the top of the power rankings. With FaZe making an early exit, Surge placing 2nd, and Thieves looking dominant as ever, the excitement is at an all time high as we go into major 2. OpTic have continued to struggle, and the situation is becoming more severe every time they play. The main question is: Will they make a change? Finally, we end with some discussion regarding a rumor that COD will not be coming to last-gen consoles, and we give our thoughts on if this is a good or bad idea. There is also big news with season 3 being delayed, and share our hopes as to why this delay happened, and what we may expect.
Do you think Vancouver Surge will be able to keep up their performances going into Major 2, or will they flop? After this minor, are the Thieves your top team, or does FaZe still hold that spot? What do you think about old-gen consoles not getting Call of Duty anymore? Is it time developers move on, or should they still support? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #211 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we cover the past week of matches with the 2nd and last minor right around the corner. We have some teams that have continued to make big strides as a team, and some that are raising some serious concern. For us, the Breach have continued to struggle, and taking the fight to the top teams seems more distant than it ever has this season. We share our thoughts on the team, and what we believe could be part of their problem. Along with this, the biggest shock has been the downward trend of OpTic. They have continued to struggle, and going into the minor, very few are keeping the faith that they will be able to bounce back in time, and especially with their own major right around the corner. We continue our thoughts on this matter, and cover lots of the rumors as to why they are struggling, as well as some solutions that have been brought up.
With the minor just wrapping up, what are your thoughts on the Boston team with their current placement? Do you think they need to make a change, or is there something fundamentally wrong with their playstyle? What is your opinion on OpTic? Will they stick together or split up? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #210 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, the CDL has finally returned, and we’ve got some new faces in the league, and some returning ones as well. We have Pred returning to OpTic, and Neptune joining the Vancouver Surge. OpTic has been off to a very slow start, going 0-2 in matches, and 0-6 in map count. On the other hand, Vancouver pulled off a close win against FaZe. Neptune has found his spot on this team, and has improved them dramatically, but OpTic has not looked the same since major 1. Some serious debate has been around the fate of OpTic, and we give our opinions on the future of those players, and our response to the OpTic “fans”,
Will OpTic make a change or will they stick with this roster for the rest of the year? What do you think is the root of their issues right now? Do you think Neptune is becoming a top player in the CDL? What are your opinions on who are the current top teams, and what teams need to make a change the most? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #209 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we cover some big news that came as a shock to some, and was expected by others. Pred was officially announced back onto the starting roster for OpTic, and Huke has been let go as a free agent. The debate lies in if this is the correct move for OpTic. After a lackluster Major 1 performance, they need to bounce back in this second split, and with Pred’s time off and potentially higher ceiling as a player, speculation has risen if he will be the piece that makes OpTic compete against FaZe and Thieves. With Huke being a free agent, questions have risen as to where he will go, and who’s spot he will be taking, as we discuss the lack of changes within the bottom teams despite poor Major 1 performances. Finally, we close on the PSN shutdown, and the bigger discussion of how this issue is one of the biggest cons to gaming on a console, and the reliance on online servers to play even single player games.
What was your reaction to the Pred news? After this weekend's matches in major 2, what did you think of his performance overall? Are there some growing pains as a team they need to overcome, or is there a bigger issue that needs to be resolved? What are your thoughts on online servers for single player games? Should some things be left off the cloud, or is it just not possible in today’s climate of gaming? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #208 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we begin with covering the new season 2 content, and to see if it has delivered and hopefully brought some fans back to the game. With the new maps and guns added, there is hope for the rest of season 2, as well as what we will be getting with season 2 reloaded. The main topic for this episode is the recap of Major 1 in the CDL. This shaped up to be one of the best events we have seen in a long time. From some big teams not making it to Sunday, to an insane battle in grand finals, we break down some of the big moments from this major, and what we should expect from teams regarding changes after this event.
Who are some of the teams that you think are going to make a change after their major 1 placement? What was the biggest surprise for you from this major, and did your team make it as far as you had hoped? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #207 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we start off with some much needed football talk as the superbowl is having another repeat year, and then we shift the conversation to the CDL and how the field is looking going into major 1. We share our thoughts on who we think is going to make it to Sunday, and who is going to be making an early exit. We then break down the season 2 roadmap for Black Ops 6, and there are some big quality of life changes coming. Firstly with the addition of the cross-play feature for console players, and a new perk that could change the game. There is a big emphasis on multiplayer and zombies this season, and little to none on warzone. Was this intentional?
Having major 1 in the books, were your predictions right? Who do you think is going to make a change first? Are you excited to be playing season 2, or is there not enough to bring you back? What are your thoughts on the return of grind? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #206 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we start off with some big gaming news; the potential of game prices increasing to $100. After the rumors of GTA VI costing $100 at launch, other developers are hoping to follow suit with their games. We break down why this isn’t realistic, and how this will have a huge impact on gamers everywhere. We shift this towards the talk of free to play games, and how this model may work it’s way into Call of Duty. Finally, we close on some big updates coming to Black Ops 6, and the potential of bringing players back to Black Ops 6. With these changes, the CDL back, and rumored season 2 maps, could COD be back?
What do you think of the $100 price tag attached to the game's rumor? Is any game worth that price to you? If this happened, would you stop gaming altogether? What do you think of the new COD updates? Will this bring players back, or is there more work to be done? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.

Welcome to episode #205 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we are coming off of the first CDL minor, and we have some thoughts and discussion about this event and its bigger meaning. With COD in a tough state, is this where effort should be focused towards with the CDL? We bring up the issues of the league’s infrastructure, and how the challengers’ scene is more dead than ever, and this leaves a lot to be desired for up and coming pros, looking to break into the scene. Finally, with the results of the minor, we shift our focus towards the final push before Major 1, and speculate some moves that may be happening before, and definitely after the event. We break down the main team’s placements and if we believe a change is in order.
Which teams do you believe are going to make a change first? Is there any team that is safe? What are your predictions for Major 1? What did you think about our talk on the CDL infrastructure? What more should they be doing, and what should they shift focus off of? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.
