It’s time for Mike and Justin to take a field trip to ‘The Space Museum’! The first two exhibits are here in the A Wing, where you can see the episodes ”The Space Museum” and “The Dimensions of Time” on display. Note the intruiging use of time travel, the increased interest by the hosts, the insanely long exposition jump in the second part, the beatnik teen rebels, and the Doctor’s is finally revealed!? …okay maybe not. Enjoy the tour, and we’ll see you next week skuys!

This week Mike and Justin finish their time with ‘The Crusade’ by watching ”The Wheel of Fortune” and “The Warlords”. Well, I say “watching’ but we’ve got another missing episode that barely qualifies as visual stimulation. In any case, we discuss new character ‘Harold’, and why he only owns one small paring knife; the lack of closure and how it relates to historicals eventually going the way of the dodo; the Doctor and Vicki’s childish delight in continually screwing over a local merchant, the employment of incredibly lazy racial stereotypes, and someone (me) keeps inexplicably confusing the names El Akir and Earl of Leicester. Join us, won’t you?

Missing episodes?
-
Justin and Mike journey to Medieval Times with ”The Lion” and “The Knight of Jaffa”, the first two episodes of ‘The Crusade”. A positive reception for episode one is followed by that most dreaded of foes, the missing episode reconstruction. We ramble on at length about just when we are, who the Saracens were, the difference between Saladin and Safadin, the long career of Julian Glover, and if it’s racist to say a guy “looks like he should be selling meatballs.” All this and more, on what we promise was the final episode recorded with a less-than-ideal audio setup! Join us, won’t you?

Mike and Justin finally conclude their journey through ‘The Web Planet’, a long, tortorous journey for reasons that had almost nothing to do with the actual serial. Tune in to hear our thoughts on web lasers, zarbi wrangling, magnetism, ecosystems, and the disappointing lack of a giant spider.
-
Mike and Justin continue returning as they tackle the middle section of ‘The Web Planet’ with ”Escape to Danger” and “Crater of Needles”. Listen as they discuss it for the thrilling second time thanks to a big screw-up in editing!
-
We’re back after a long hiatus to begin our discussion of “The Web Planet,” starting with the first two episodes, “The Web Planet” and “The Zarbi”. After a long time away, starting here was… maybe.. not… the beeessstttt… Oh well, we made it through and you can finally join us once more for beep ants, bee men, lots of blinking, arm-napping, questionable noises, and the wanton destruction of a perfectly good tie-belt!

Just a quick update to our listeners to let you know that we’re back, we’re recording new episodes, and you can begin listening to them on January 4th, 2018, and every Thursday after that. We love you all, we appreciate the continued interest in the show, and we can’t wait for you to hear our new episodes!
-
We’re back with a brand new recording method, from a real live studio, in exciting new quality! This also led to some real learning curves for me editing, which is why we missed posting this last week. Sorry! Got it down now though! Anyway, we discuss the back half of ‘The Romans’, specifically the episodes “Conspiracy” and “Inferno”. No, not THAT Inferno, we won’t get there for another two years or so! Nero fiddles, Rome burns, the Doctor gets silly, Vicky takes potions at Howarts, Ian gets in some fights, and Barbara gets chased around by Nero. Some people’s plots are better than others, what can we say? Oh and Tavius is hiding a BIG, super crazy secret! I refuse to spoil it if you haven’t listened to it yet, but man does it come out of nowhere..
We won’t have a new episode next week because of the Holidays, but we look forward to starting 2017 with The Web Planet on January 6th! Until then, be safe, happy ho [...]

Mike and Justin do as ’The Romans’ do, and hang out in a villa for a month before watching ”The Slave Traders” and “All Roads Lead to Rome”. A lot of things get discussed this week, but honestly most of it gets derailed by our total confusion about the differences between a lute and a lyre. Join us, won’t you?

With many apologies for being late, here we are with our coverage of the two-part serial ‘The Rescue’, consisting of ”The Powerful Enemy” and “Desperate Measures”. Get to know Vicki, Bennett, Koquillion, and even the ill-fated Sandy! One of these exciting new characters is joining our TARDIS crew, but who will it be? I mean, it’s probably pretty obvious, but let’s all pretend we don’t know! Join us, won’t you?

The Dalek Invasion of Earth concludes with a bang! Mike and Justin watch ”The Waking Ally” and “Flashpoint” and discuss, among other things: recording a podcast sitting on a bed, holiday plans, the current state of retail shopping, Ian’s bad new habit of hiding dangerously, Barbara and Jenny meet crazy cat ladies, Susan and David canoodling, and the Doctor’s resolve. And that’s just the first episode! The second we won’t discuss in case you’ve yet to watch these episodes, but suffice to say that its plot developments are SUBSTANTIAL. Join us, won’t you?

‘The Dalek Invasion of Earth’ continues unabated with two episodes that feature a lot of characters scrambling around but are suprisingly light on actual Daleks, save of course for the much anticipated sequel to last episode’s beloved art film, Woman Run Fast. Mike and Justin cover ”Day of Reckoning” and “The End of Tomorrow”, and find there’s a bit less to talk about than usual. Also, there’s no bloopers this week because we just didn’t really mess up this week. Sorry! I’m sure we’ll screw up real good next time.

Everyone’s favorite program-saving robot-wearing alians are finally returning to Doctor Who this week as Mike and Justin begin their look at ‘The Dalek Invasion of Earth’ with ”World’s End” and “The Daleks”. We manage to goof up opening our own show, have some confusion about the use of and oddness of finding whips, and begin to have a very necessary discussion about how much Daleks is too much Daleks. It may be the post-apocalypse, but if you do as you’re told you will be fed and watered. Join us, won’t you?

We hope you enjoy this look back at the first season and please join us on Friday for the start of Season 2 with Planet of the Giants!

Mike and Justin continue their journey through ‘The Sensorites’ with the 3rd and 4th episodes, ”Hidden Danger” and “A Race Against Death” as the plot takes a somewhat unexpected turn away from the spaceship danger of the previous episodes into exploring the Sensorites’ culture and politics. It’s a welcome twist as this serial continues to deliver some of the best episodes of the season.
