Jesus' instruction and John's gospel is clear...but our understanding and application isn't. It's time we changed that.
John 14:12-14: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father, and whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
This scripture has been abused by prosperity preachers and swindlers alike for decades if not hundreds of years, but it doesn't give us liberty to pray for things that aren't Godly. If anything - all of us are praying for the Holy Spirit to give us the desires of our heart ONLY AFTER we've prayed God's word out loud and sought for Him to write His judgments on our hearts, for every trouble of life springs from our heart posture.
But this is where the rubber meets the road - most people are praying too small. If God gives you inspiration - this includes inspiration to pray for people, things, places, events, governments and even moments of time that have and haven't happened yet.
We're hard pressed to believe God would bring us to the edge of eternity where the sixth day is turning into the seventh day - the millennial reign of Christ - and Christ followers should somehow play it safe when it comes to our faith, purpose and prayer.
We respect other Christ followers who hold different opinions, which is why we're offering ourselves as examples of believers who are hashing out our faith and big ticket Biblical principles as the Word encourages us to do.
We believe in your potential in Christ.
We're at a time in history where tepid, lukewarm faith will be of much value to someone that says they follow Christ, but doesn't have the Spiritual Gifts to back it up.
If anything - I hope this encourages and edifies you to be bold and step forward in faith exactly as God is hoping we will. If not now, as everything seems to be falling apart - when?

Kingdom Men's Gathering has been doing the work to gather men for years, and I'm grateful for Frank Sontag and Rob McCoy for the opportunity to speak.
Our story is more powerful than we realize...if we champion it and lay our grievances at Christ's feet, we have the opportunity to ask for war in return.
Once we champion our own story, we're called by God to intercede on others' behalf and help them champion theirs.

Yes, we had church at a gun range. Yes, we also had beers and whisky while having church at a gun range.
Yes, we will do it again and also invite you to borrow the name and do the same because also yes, God wants His men to gather and prepare a way for Christ's return as the Fifth Horsemen, following Jesus' example.
45 men gathered for church at a gun range with whisky, beer, powerful unfiltered conversation and the Holy Spirit all flowing towards one focal point:
Jesus.
You can tell me the world doesn't want Jesus as Lord and Savior...but you can't tell me the world doesn't need Him. If you think this way - congratulations, God's about to hand you a lesson in fearing the Lord that you won't be able to avoid.
And you can go on and on about how we can't mention Jesus and beer in the same name or drink at church and I'll tell you I care more about men stepping forward into their authority and identity than I do about your religious feelings.
Each and every man left better, stronger, equipped, encouraged, challenged and more engaged in their spirit than how he came in.
There's no subtle way to discuss the season we're in or the dumpster fires raging all around us. While we're all watching Rome burn with WiFi, God is also calling us according to Revelation 1:6 - as kings and priests.
What does that mean to us? We have to reclaim the priesthood we abandoned - our spirituality and operation with the Holy Spirit - from the altars of sports, vices and pastoral leadership we left it on.
In the coming weks we'll release more content from the event, ways to connect and next steps for you to host your own Jesus and Beers - but for now, prepare your hearts, minds and spirit to take on the identity Jesus intended according to Revelation 1:6:
You're a king and a priest appointed by Almighty God on the edge of eternity - which means you're God's Plan A, and there is no Plan B.
God's kings and priests are rising with their fleets burning behind them, the Holy Spirit driving them and their hearts for Jesus wrapped in black flags of war.

Christianity is a spiritual battle that most aren't prepared for - but many churches aren't making it any easier by capitulating to culture and not taking a stance on many topics including language, gay marriage, truth, fatherlessness, equality and social justice.
Isaiah 59 and 58 clearly articulate how God wants us to intercede and carry out justice - otherwise God will put on the cloak of vengeance and nobody will have it easy.
Jesus loves everyone and died for all of us without prejudice to our skin tone or sexual preference - but we've allowed people within the church to distort and pervert God's mercy for tolerance...and we've angered a jealous God who's clearly allowing the enemy of our souls to carry out plans against our existence.
The goal of this episode is to expose the deception and challenge each of us to abandon comfort and see the enemy's work for what it is - war against humanity.
Please forgive the quality of the audio - we were playing it fast and loose with untested, unqualified gear that overheats like an old pickup truck.
We want to encourage you - get to church, find a Pastor that teaches from the Bible and start reading. The Holy Spirit is calling His people forward and if we're successful, we'll be able to enter the next season on our feet instead of our knees.

There's no way to see how distant we are from God unless we, Christians, step back and assess where we are and what we're allowing to happen culturally around us. We do that through the Bible - Psalm 119:105 - but let's be real, the nice country club church isn't just unwilling to push back on cultural decay, church's aren't telling people that we're supposed to because we follow salt and light Jesus - AND table flipping Jesus.
We're the church and the world is watching us allow ungodly language to be used to define sexual orientation that God ordained, and now biologics that are on the verge of being mandated. Maybe this is the time we stop accepting worldly language and start using God's?
The Bible tells us how the tongue has the power of life and death - but is our posture of politeness and platitudes towards secular society bringing death upon all of us? Four years ago the leftists were using words to describe transgender rights. Now the language is becoming action. They're not just giving us an option to self quarantine - they're using us as human experiments and calling a biological weapon a jab - and they're coming for our kids.
This discussion between three members of the Fourth Watch - Graham, Monica and Steve will travel through several topics and aim us down a path of changing our footing to honor God and engage the enemy with warfare.
