"Your competitor can’t tell your story—and that’s your biggest advantage." - Michael Davis
In this episode of "The Good, Bad, and Ugly of Business," host Catryn Becker is joined by storytelling expert Michael Davis, founder of Speaking CPR. They explore the profound impact of storytelling in sales, leadership, and public speaking. Michael explains how storytelling allows individuals to connect authentically with their audience, highlighting that personal stories—especially those born out of mistakes or failures—are powerful tools that competitors cannot replicate. He shares insights into why many people fear public speaking, explaining that the real fear is often tied to potential humiliation rather than the act of speaking itself.
Throughout the conversation, Michael emphasizes the importance of embracing authenticity in communication. Rather than striving for perfection, he encourages individuals to lean into their unique experiences, even those that might not seem noteworthy. By sharing genuine stories that convey lessons learned, professionals can foster deeper connections with clients, teams, and audiences. The episode wraps up with practical advice on how to overcome fear and trust in the power of one’s own narrative to drive business success.

Do you ever feel like you're at war with your own thoughts? What if the boundaries between conscious, subconscious, and unconscious aren't as defined as we think? Could understanding the true relationship between these aspects of our mind unlock a new level of personal freedom and effectiveness? Join host Catryn Becker on "The Good, Bad, and Ugly of Business" as we dive deep into the intricacies of the human brain with Morry Zelcovitch.
"You are supposed to be happy. The evidence of that is that happiness feels good. Unhappy is telling you you're doing and or thinking the wrong thing for you. So listen to the signals and follow your feelings." - Morry Zelcovitch
In this episode, we explore the groundbreaking insights of Morry Zelcovitch, the world’s first and only brainwave entrainment engineer. Morry shares his expert knowledge on how our brains function not as compartmentalized units but as a cohesive system, seamlessly integrating conscious and unconscious processes. Through his unique approach, he challenges the traditional psychological models that divide the mind, suggesting instead that our mental states are more interconnected than previously believed.
Morry explains how misinterpretations of our brain's operations can lead to ineffective self-help strategies and personal development efforts. By reimagining these concepts, listeners can begin to harness the power of their entire brain, leading to more profound self-awareness and a more fulfilling life. This episode not only demystifies common myths about brain usage but also provides practical advice on how listeners can apply these insights to improve their daily lives. Whether you're struggling with personal limitations or seeking ways to optimize your mental health, Morry’s insights offer valuable guidance for realigning your thoughts and actions to achieve greater harmony and success.
