  • Welcome back to the New Mom Boss Podcast! In this episode, we are learning all about non-outcome-based childbirth preparation with my special guest, Amanda Gorman. As a childbirth educator and postpartum support advocate, Amanda brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.

She shares some incredible insights into what it means to approach childbirth without being tied to a specific outcome, discusses three different types of knowing that can aid women in their birth preparation, and even gives us her top three things she wishes she’d known when giving birth the first time.

  • Welcome back to the New Mom Boss Podcast! This is another co-hosted episode with my good friend Dr. Julie from The Confident Parenting Podcast with Dr. Julie Fernandes! In this episode, we are discussing how we currently handle the usual exhaustion in motherhood.

If you are a new mom or a parent that feels like they’re drowning, this is a great topic to listen to. In our conversation, we discuss how we’re both managing our energy in life right now, how to prioritize tasks, how to rest well, and more about investing in yourself when it feels overwhelming.

    Some big takeaways are:

The only things we have control over are ourselves and our energy. When you reprioritize a task, ask yourself, “How important is this?”Women need to be working with their natural bodies and cycles in order to have optimal energy.

  • Welcome back to the New Mom Boss Podcast! Big emotions in our kids are like a rite of passage for us parents. And because it’s something we all go through, I’ve brought guest Emily Hamblin to the show to share her expertise.

Emily is the creator and co-host of the Enlightening Motherhood podcast & life coaching business. As a mom of 4, former foster mom of 27, and educator of all ages, she definitely understands what it’s like to feel overwhelmed with your children’s intense behaviors & emotions.

In our conversation, we explore the “big emotions” kids can experience and Emily shares her tips for handling those behaviors with confidence and patience. We talk about her family experience, the terrible two’s (three’s, four’s…), and walk through a realistic example together.

Even if you’re pregnant, or are still in the infant stages, this information is so valuable to have when the time comes! You’ll definitely want to listen in!

    Some big takeaways are:

The human brain is not fully developed until about 25 years old.You are still a good mom, even if big emotions are a struggle for you or your child.Much of parenting is worth taking the extra time to do because it’ll save you so much in the long run.
