Keith Guthrie is the head of sustainability for Cardano UK and for now:pensions, a member of our Sustainability Policy Committee and a partner in the firm. He focuses on the development and integration of sustainability into Cardano’s investment offerings for UK clients and for now:pensions, working closely with the our inhouse teams, clients and trustees. Prior to moving to the Sustainability Group in 2023, Keith spent 15 years co-leading Cardano’s investment teams. Prior to joining Cardano in 2008, Keith worked at GAM and RMB International managing a variety of multi-asset portfolios. Mark Fawcett OBE, CEO Nest Invest Mark joined Nest as CIO in 2008 to design and shape Nest’s investment strategy and has been responsible for investments as AUM have grown from £0 to over £43bn. In 2019 he became CEO of Nest Invest, the FCA authorised investment subsidiary of Nest Corporation while relinquishing the role of CIO in 2023. Mark has been an investment manager for the over 35 years and has managed money at a variety of institutions including as Head of Japanese Equities at Gartmore and CIO at American Express Asset Management International. Mark has an MA Maths & Philosophy from Oxford University and an MSc Management from London Business School. He has a non-executive role on the Defined contribution committee of the Unilever UK pension fund. Catherine Howarth joined ShareAction as Chief Executive in 2008. ShareAction is an NGO with a mission to define and promote the highest global standards of responsible investment. Catherine is a member of the Financial Conduct Authority’s advisory committee on sustainable finance and HM Treasury’s Asset Management Taskforce. Previously, she served as a member-elected trustee of The Pensions Trust and on the board of the Scott Trust, owner of The Guardian Media Group. She was recognised by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2014. In 2020 she featured on the BBC Woman’s Hour Power List, and in 2022 was awarded an OBE for ‘services to sustainability’. She often shares thoughts on LinkedIn.

Joe is Chief Investment Officer of Border to Coast - one of the largest LGPS pools in the UK.
Previously Joe spent 15 years as Head of Portfolio Solutions EMEA for Neuberger Berman and Morgan Stanley Investment Management. In these roles he was a Senior Portfolio Manager for Key Strategic/OCIO mandates, Multi-Asset, Diversified Alternatives funds/mandates and structured solutions. Prior to this Joe spent 10 years in Corporate Pension Plan management as Head of Investments at Shell International and as Head of Fixed Income for IBM Europe Retirement plans. Joe has a MA in Economics & Finance from the University of Sheffield and a BA in Economics & History from University College Dublin. He has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Joe was a Trustee Director and member of the Investment Committee for Morgan Stanley Pension Funds (UK) from 2008 to 2018 and has been an Associate Trustee of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) since 2018.
