He became a licensed bookmaker in 2003 at the age of 20 and was Australia’s largest and most profitable on-course bookie by 2008. In 2010 he launched the online sports betting business TOMWATERHOUSE.COM and in 2013, by the time the company was sold to William Hill, they had 100 people working in the business and 250,000 clients. In this episode, I get Tom’s insights on how to become successful inside and outside the world of sports betting. We also talk about the psychology of betting and what traits entrepreneurs and business owners can adopt to become more successful.
