Sally takes us back to 2007 when she conducted The Raconteurs' dream interview. Challenged with a long list of questions not to ask, since the band had completed 500 interviews, Sally devised a unique interview and brought along the BLAG card game for good measure. Jack White, Brendan Benson, Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence loved the unconventional approach with much laughter and true storytelling.
The full interview appears in the new book, MUSIC. Available here.

Back in 2004, Sally and Sarah hopped on the Eurostar to Brussels, back in ye olden days when artists could travel freely into the continent.
You'll be thankful of that because this recording has never, ever been heard before. This is a world exclusive and it's serious...ly funny.
Sally and Sarah were great friends with Beastie Boys and so, how could they possibly sit and do a normal interview? They couldn't. So they devised a game which went on to be played across many interviews. The BLAG card game. A game where an artist would pick a card and create a question for the other member(s) of the group involving the word or phrase on the card. Simple. Fun. Authentic entertainment and sometimes, enlightening. We'll think you'll experience all of that in this classic interview with MCA aka Adam Yauch, AdRock aka Adam Horovitz and Mike D aka Mike Diamond.
Let it be noted, this interview took place in the basement of a huge venue, there was no aircon and it had a unique odour. Beastie Boys will sum this up perfectly for you. Tissues at the ready.
You can buy books HIP HOP and MUSIC by Sally and Sarah which feature this Beastie Boys interview in full. HIP HOP also features their later piece 'Ten Essential Food & Drinks By Beastie Boys' and 'Ten Essential Travel Tips' by Mike D.
