Sally Di Marco is an expert drapee of fabrics. She also has been a huge force in the Fashion Industry by meeting celebratory Designers like Bob Mackie, Eleanor Lambert and the legendary Edith Head. Sally brought these Designer’s elements into Costume Study at Baltimore City Community College for her coordinated Fashion Program.
Sally will share her best kept secrets in meeting the Costume Designers.
It is important to note that Baltimore was at one time the grand fashion industry on air and 2nd to NYC in the manufacturing of clothing.
Sally began her career as Asst. Designer at Glenbrook Coat Compan, in Baltimore, where fur-lined coat collections for names like YSL, Chanel and Dior were created.

Author, educator, and fashion designer, Sally Di Marco, will speak to our listeners today about Queen Elizabeth II and her iconic fashion style during her 60-year reign from 1952 until her death in 2022. The Queen dressed to rule in her couture suit dresses in a pallet of vibrant colors, which were crowned with matching hats. Accentuating the regal look were beautiful heirloom jewels, practical gloves, and signature Launer handbags. And to complete the image, the hush-hush about the Queen’s comfortable work shoes will be revealed. Her conservative, symbolic, and tailored look reflected a confident modern woman in charge.

Lyonard Miszkiewicz formerly designed for RAF Simmons and Alexander McQueen. He is an Amsterdam Designer. Currently working in both womenswear and menswear. Lyonard’s sense for the arts and style was ingrained in him as a child via his mother, a renowned fine art painter. To maintain creative freedom, Lyonard enjoys collaborating on visual arts projects and installations, and has recently begun to explore olfactory designs to further blend the boundaries between creative mediums.

Cocoe had just finished school and got a job in textiles because of my love of fabrics and fashion…I thought it was going to be much more glamorous than it was!
I left to take a sales job at a Beverly Hills bridal salon because I had always loved the “gown”, the symbolism of this dress and how much this garment is treasured and sometimes passed down to future generations.
Throw away fashion never sat well with me. Even as a little girl, I would repurpose vintage clothes by redesigning them for myself so the idea of being around beautifully made timeless wedding gowns was alluring.
Soon, I decided to start my own vision of an L.A. bridal salon on Melrose Ave. with a focus on custom design. -

She has MA Fashion Design from Domus Academy Milan, BA in Architecture Universidad Politecnica de Puerto Rico, and AAS in Patternmaking (FIT).
