  • Pernille is the founder of Mind Blossom which strives to prevent and combat mental illness through education and fostering community support. Mind Blossom envisions a world where mental health education is integrated into all community centers, schools, and companies with the aim to prevent and reduce mental illness. Mind Blossom integrates humanity with science by using mental health education, an evidence-based method, to empower people’s understanding of their own and others’ physical and mental wellbeing.

As a blue collar daughter, Pernille defeated the odds by being a first-generation college and PhD graduate. She moved across the world to pursue neuroscience at the best research universities in the world, and left little undone in her pursuit of knowledge. Because of her determination, she can now call herself an award-winning scientist.

Through this scientific journey she could also, finally, start her own trauma healing process. As she mastered the skills of a researcher, she realized that communication and self-insight were cornerstones of not only her professional success but also her personal wellbeing. Pernille realized that her drive for research was rooted in people’s mental health. She now focuses her energy on helping people thrive.

  • Rob Morris is the co-founder and CEO of Koko, whose mission is to combat the youth mental health crisis by meeting young people where they’re at—online. Rob's journey with Koko began during his graduate studies at MIT, a period marked by personal struggles with mental health. It was out of this challenging experience that the seeds of Koko were planted.

Hailing from the heart of Silicon Valley, Rob's early interests diverged from technology towards a fascination with humanity. This led Rob to delve into psychology during Rob's time at Princeton, a passion that endured even as Rob later developed an interest in computers, design, and technology. Pursuing graduate studies at MIT was a transformative experience, supported by dedicated advisors and inspiring peers who propelled Rob forward despite the challenges. To them, and to all who believed in Rob, Rob is eternally grateful.

  • Courage.
    Vulnerability.
    Daring.
    Fear.
    Self-Acceptance.
    Self-Trust.

I need work on all of those.

All of those things, words, elements, characteristics within that image up there, I could stand to improve upon.

As we all know life isn't this fixed destination, but rather an ever-shifting journey.

My name is Guy Macpherson, PhD. I’m host of The Trauma Therapist Podcast.

Over the course of the last several years I’ve interviewed hundreds of incredible guests and now coming up on 1000 interviews!

One of my greatest take-aways from all of these interviews is the importance of authenticity, or simply being who we are. This process and becoming and being the best version of ourselves isn't a straight line with some hockey stick curve swopping up to amazingness.

For many of us it's a slow one-step-forward, three-step-back plodding, speckled with glimpses of excitement and inspiration.

I remember the first time I experienced being in a group process in graduate school. I remember that nervous feeling and the excitement about what it would mean to share, to reveal myself, to share my thoughts and feelings with the others in the group.

But once the group settled in and we were able to trust and feel safe everything began to flow.I love being in a group of people who are committed to learning about themselves so that they can become the best version of themselves.

This is what my new program It's Me Thriving is all about.

I'm committed to creating an incredible group process.

I've been doing this for a long time now and love it.

The strength and power and the revelations that come from being part of an incredible group can allow us to see our own selves in a way we might not otherwise be able to.

    We'll share our story.

We'll support each other and be supported and encouraged.
