  • Tek & Prem welcome Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer on the VetLine to talk Fightins. With 16 games to go, they stand atop the MLB with the league's best winning percentage. The next stretch of 10 games vs the Mets and Brewers may determine their trajectory in October. The top seed in the NL is a coveted position to be in with teams like the Dodgers and Diamondbacks in the fold. As they work to get healthy, some unlikely characters have stepped up and gotten it done in thrilling fashion. The Eagles got a victory in Brazil and it wasn't easy. The Packers provided a formiddable challenge and Jalen Hurts committed costly turnovers. Despite the rust and poor decisions, he also made some remarkable plays and got it done late by icing the final 8 minutes of the game. Saquon was exceptional in his debut. The redzone defense was superb and kept them in it early. The next test is the true home opener vs the familiar Kirk Cousins and his new-look Atlanta Falcons on MNF. • Tek & Prem welcome Breland Moore of Fox 29 Philly on the VetLine to break down the Eagles 2024 season opener in Brazil versus the Green Bay Packers. With a renewed energy and revamped coaching staff, the Birds have high expectations, both from within the Novacare Complex and the fanbase. Jalen Hurts holds the keys to the proverbial kingdom and with the addition of Saquon Barkley and talented youth at the defensive back position via the Draft, it is all in front of them. The challenges of international travel are amplified when on the NFL stage and this Week One clash between expected NFC contenders is no exception. • Tek & Prem welcome Anthony DiRenzo, Digital Producer for Battleground News and formerly of 1210 WPHT, on the VetLine to talk Eagles and Phillies. The Birds suit up for their first meaningful 2024 game a week from today in Brazil, versus the Green Bay Packers. There are high expectations for a team with talent across the board and a revamped coaching staff. Jalen Hurts, coming off of a reportedly phenomenal Training Camp, will take the reins again as the Birds start their quest to get back to the Super Bowl. But what will the defense look like? We discuss. The Phillies complete an impressive comeback win last night against Atlanta and hold a commanding 6-game NL East Division lead as we head into September. Nick Castellanos again victimizes Atlanta with a key home run to put them away at the Bank. The question remains: can they win a World Series with this group? We will know soon enough. • Tek & Prem welcome Rob Maaddi, AP Senior NFL Writer and MLB Hall-of-Fame voter on the Vetline. The Eagles kick off in Brazil versus Green Bay in just a few short weeks, and the Preseason is in full swing. There are interesting positional decisions yet to be made and some players have showcased their abilities well, while others certainly have not. Jalen Hurts and the first-team offense have not seen the field as the debate rages on regarding the implications of their absence. Vic Fangio's defense has been solid thus far against Baltimore and New England's Preseason rosters, but the regular season is a completely different beast to be tamed. The Phillies have bounced back from a horrendous July and early August to excite the fanbase once again. In consecutive wins they featured a Kyle Schwarber Grand Slam, a Weston Wilson cycle, and a Trea Turner walk-off hit. With Red October approaching, the optimism appears to be back in the clubhouse and amongst the fans. • Tek & Prem welcome Jon Marks on the VetLine to talk Vet Memories, Phils, Eagles & Sixers. The Phils are sliding fast. A once 9-game NL East lead has shrunk down to 5, and the Braves are getting hot. With a tough 10-game west coast road trip underway, anxiety is high among the fans and rightfully so. Bryce isn't hitting, the pitching has crumbled, and June feels like years ago. If they are to make a push to the World Series again, things have to turn around fast. The Eagles have high expectations and Training Camp is well underway. Reports are very encouraging and exciting. In 6 days they take the field for their preseason opener in Baltimore. The youth movement has been making leaps at camp and the retooled coaching staff appears to be on track thus far. An exhilarating season of Birds football could be on deck. • Tek & Prem welcome BOOCHadelphia of Drunk On Broad Podcast on the VetLine to talk Phillies, Eagles & Sixers. The Phils gear up for the 2nd half, starting in Pittsburgh tonight against a Pirates team in the thick of the Wild Card race, with Aaron Nola on the mound. JT should return soon, the trade deadline could yield reinforcements, and they boast an 8.5 game NL East lead over the 2nd-place Atlanta Braves. With their August schedule being a bit of a gauntlet to start, these next few weeks are crucial to the Phils outlook heading into the final regular season stretch. The Eagles return next week and begin Training Camp with a new coaching administration taking the reigns on both offense and defense. Questions abound at every level of the defense, but there is no shortage of talent on the roster. The primary factor that will determine their 2024 success level is the play of Quarterback Jalen Hurts. Kellen Moore's system is QB-Friendly and Saquon Barkley provides the ultimate security blanket. The Sixers are retooled and appear to be improved, but the skepticism over their expectations is healthy and justified. • Tek & Prem welcome Scott Grayson of Fox 29 Philly on the VetLine to talk Phils & Sixers. Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber have been struck by the injury bug, but they will be back sooner than later. The team has to pick up the production in their stead and it starts on the mound. The rotation is the best in baseball and Cristopher Sanchez put that on display with a complete game shutout on City Connect night. A lineup shuffle can present a variety of challenges for a baseball club, but the Phils have found ways to win this year regardless of the circumstances. As we approach the All-Star Break they have an 8-game division lead over the 2nd-place Braves. Meanwhile, the Sixers are a team on the decline with a general manager disconnected from reality. Daryl Morey seems to view the NBA through his own delusional lens. The NBA Draft was underwhelming, but we will see what Jared McCain brings to the table as an undersized NBA Guard. • Tek & Prem welcome John Foley of PHLY Sports on the VetLine to talk Phils. They welcome in Arizona for an NLCS Rematch over the weekend. Cole Hamels retirement night will start it off and there should be great energy in the building. The Diamondbacks come in hot but still have much to prove, during a season where they have not performed like NL champs. As the trade deadline approaches it is abundantly clear that the outfield is lacking offensively. With the demotion of Rojas, the Phils have employed a platoon in LF and CF and there are big questions. To win a World Series you have to be solid from top to bottom. The Eagles are working their way towards Training Camp, which is still a month away. The comments coming out of the building have been interesting to say the least. The Sixers are in desperation mode, seemingly entertaining any and all acquisition possibilities. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)

  • Tek & Prem welcome Ben Silver of The Good Phight on the VetLine to talk Phils expectations at the deadline and overall outlook. Coming off a disappointing trip to Fenway, they travel down to Baltimore for 3 with the O's. Will they make the needed splash at the trade deadline, and will the catcher shuffle hold up enough until JT returns? They have a 9-game lead over the Braves to work with. The Eagles are inching closer to Training Camp and there has been buzz around Jalen Hurts' presser last week. The defense will truly be the key for the 2024 Eagles and Vic Fangio is on the job. Much remains to be resolved at Novacare in the upcoming months leading into preseason and the opener in Brazil. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)

  • Tek & Prem welcome Haley Taylor Simon on the VetLine to talk Phils, Birds, and Flyguys. The Phils are set to start a 2-game set in London with the rival NY Mets & then travel back to the states for two tough road series vs Boston & Baltimore. The pitching has been historically good, with 4 of the Phils 5 starters ranking in the Top-6 in the league in ERA. The best team in the National League faces a hard stretch of games as they look to maintain their 7.5 game division lead over the Braves, who have performed well below expectations. The Birds have wrapped up minicamp and the team is in an intriguing position on both sides of the ball. New systems are being installed by Fangio and Moore. The secondary will have a completely new look and mode of attack, thanks to the infusion of talented versatile youth. Up front, however, there will be concern over stopping the run and personnel depth. Offensively, it will be Jalen Hurts' task to learn fast and execute consistently if this team is to return to its 2022 Super Bowl form. There is excitement, reined in by skepticism. The Flyers are well into their offseason as they look to build on an impressive 2023 campaign which exceeded expectations. The roster is under some scrutiny as they move towards the Draft. • Tek & Prem welcome Emmy Award-Winning Editor for Sportscenter DaShawn Abrams on the VetLine to talk Eagles and Sixers offseason moves & expectations. Will Jalen Hurts, under new OC Kellen Moore, return to his 2022 form? We discuss his trajectory in the QB-Friendly system, as well as Vic Fangio's revamping of a defense which lacks size, but boasts speed and athleticism. Much work to be done prior to the opener in Brazil versus a young and dangerous Packers team. The Phils are the best team in baseball, on par with the 1927 Yankees offensively, along with a starting staff that is the best in the majors. Nola takes the mound for the opener against a Cards team he has fared well against, historically. This Sixers' offseason holds more unknowns than knowns, as the carousel of veteran stars rumored to be targeted is discussed ad nauseam. Joel Embiid's clock is ticking on bringing a championship to Philly. Segments include: VetPhact, Numbers Dont Lie, VetLine, & Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)

  • Tek & Prem welcome John Stolnis of WHYY, The Good Phight & Bleeding Green, and Jason Martinez of Fox 29 Philly on the VetLine to talk the Phils record start & Eagles expectations. After being founded in 1883, this city has never seen a Phillies team more efficient through 51 games of a season. There is always a player who picks up the slack and gets it done, and they are nearly unbeatable in May. Staying healthy and hungry will be the key as we work into the thick of the schedule. The Eagles offseason is in full swing and camp is less than two months away. Jalen Hurts has a new offensive coordinator yet again, but with elite pieces around him, the expectation is that he returns to his 2022 form. The true test will be for Vic Fangio, as he takes over a defense that lacked killer instinct in 2023. Segments include: Around The Bases, VetPhact, VetLine, & Prem's MLB Picks.

  • Tek & Prem welcome Eytan Shander on the #VetLine to talk the Phils red-hot start and the Eagles 2024 schedule release. The Phillies have started 31-14, the 2nd-best start in franchise history. Winning at a torrid pace, the pitching has truly led the way and the hitting has been plentiful and timely. As we head into summer, the question will be health and if any deadline moves are made to bolster the bullpen. That may be the only slight weakness on this roster, save for Center Field. The Eagles start the year in Brazil against the Packers and then have a road-heavy slate into November, when Dougie P and the Jags come to town. Most predictions have them between 11-13 wins, but the ceiling for this team cannot be understated. How it gels will be the most important factor, yet again with new coordinators at the helm. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)

  • Tek & Prem welcome Chris Franklin of NJ dot Com on the #VetLine to talk Eagles offseason moves and NFL Draft picks. The new coordinators have addressed the media and the excitement level for effective change on both sides of the ball is potent. Howie again demonstrated his prowess during the Draft, moving, shaking, and getting value players from top to bottom. Jalen Hurts has the pieces around him and the secondary should be noticeably better. The Phillies are on fire. Boasting the best record in baseball, the pitching has been second to none and Ranger Suarez is a Cy Young front-runner. Time will tell if they can out-pace the NL East Champion Atlanta Braves for a Division Crown. The key, however, is if they can or cannot finish during another anticipated Red October. Segments include: VetPhact, Around The Bases, & Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)

  • Tek & Prem welcome Breland Moore of Fox 29 Philly on the VetLine to talk NFL Draft. The Eagles nail it with two top-flight defensive backs, Quinyon Mitchell & Cooper DeJean, while also adding a high-upside pass rusher, Jalyx Hunt. The defense is bolstered and the offense adds a highly-ranked running back from Clemson, Will Shipley. Compared to previous drafts especially, the fanbase should be thrilled with the result. In addition, Howie has amassed additional 2025 picks as assets for the much anticpated trade deadline and/or 2025 NFL Draft. How it works is always the burning question, but optimism is at a high point. The Sixers are fighting for their Playoff lives and host Game 4 at the Center tomorrow versus the Knicks. Phillies are in full swing and appear to be poised for a 3rd consecutive Red October. Segments include: VetLine, VetPhactCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)

  • Tek & Prem welcome Gary Sheffield Jr. on the VetLine to talk Phillies, Yankees, season expectations, rule changes, and MLB stories. The Phillies have heated up and get set for a weekend home series against the lowly White Sox. A sweep is expected and the offense should continue to get right. The pitching has been second to none. The Sixers prepare for their first round Playoff Series versus the Knicks, with Game One tomorrow at MSG. Can Joel Embiid and his oddball cast make the run we have all been waiting for? The NFL Draft is next week and the Eagles Front Office has another chance to shine, on the heels of successful drafts that netted DeVonta Smith, the trade for AJ Brown, and young stud Jalen Carter. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, & Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)

  • Tek & Prem welcome Luke Arcaini of Fox PHL Gambler on the VetLine to talk Phils. After a slow start they look to rebound in DC with Nola taking the ball. The hitting has been spotty and the bullpen has staggered out the gates. Bryce Harper has already provided the fans with a show, but sandwiched between 2 losses to Cincy. The Eagles gear up for the draft and have more work to do. The defense's potential effectiveness is up in the air as Vic Fangio assumes the role of leading it. Howie has something up his sleeve for the draft. Joel is back and he and Maxey have already pleased fans with a nice bounceback to possibly avoid the play-in game. 5 games left and now they all appear winnable. The Flyers are young and fighting for a postseason berth under Tortorella is locked in coaching these guys. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's MLB PicksCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)

  • Tek & Prem welcome Tim Kelly of Phillies Nation on the VetLine, as we are just 6 days away from the Phillies season opener at home against Atlanta on March 28. There are some unanswered questions regarding final roster cuts and adjustments, and we will have clarity soon on who will play centerfield. Johan Rojas is an intriguing situation for a few reasons, we discuss. Can this Phils team phinally hoist the ultimate October prize? They are in the mix as much as any MLB team in 2024 and relatively healthy. The Eagles offseason marches towards the Draft in April and Howie has supplemented his splash moves with some interesting depth additions, such as Zach Baun. The defense is still rather unfinished and fragmented. Much work to be done. The Flyers have life and appear to be entering the NHL Playoffs this year as a competitive squad. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLineCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)

  • Tek & Prem react to the whirlwind start of free agency as the Eagles front office performs superbly, signing Saquon Barkley, Bryce Huff, CJ Gardner-Johnson, Devin White, and more. Howie Roseman is more like RALLY ROSEMAN, and the roster is already primed for a better performance than 2023's devastating end. The playmakers are here and the Draft is yet to come, as there is a plethora of options for the Birds, thanks to the Draft capital amassed. The Phillies play meaningful baseball in just 2 weeks. After a healthy offseason, Bryce Harper will potentially be on the field for 162 and Trea Turner should start the season at a higher clip than his inaugural season here at CBP. The Sixers are a trainwreck and the Flyers have real promise. Segments include: VetPhactCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)

  • Tek & Prem look ahead to NFL Free Agency and evaluate the players available at positions of need for the Birds. There are multiple defenders they should be targeting to set Fangio up for success in Year One as Birds DC. The secondary should have a rather new look at the Safety spot as well as the slot, and possibly more. What will Howie do? There will be a new look and a new energy for this football team as they attempt to recapture the NFC Crown, and return to the Super Bowl. The Phillies are in full Spring mode and the season is approaching. Moves are still out there to be made and it's very possible that Dombrowski is not done adding bodies, another impact pitcher is there for the taking. Segments include: VetPhactCourtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
