Joining Project Biodiversity, Charlie spends an afternoon tagging juveniles in the bay, and learning about the threats this species faces.

Venturing to the remote corner of Sal Island, Charlie joins Project Biodiversity in the field to go in search of a little known seabird species, the red-billed tropic bird, and collect data on nesting adults and their chicks.

I have arrived in Cape Verde and head down to Project Biodiversity’s sea turtle hatchery for a memorable evening assisting the team with baby hatchlings and to learn how they are working to save the locally endangered loggerhead turtle.
