Otavio Lessa is an Entrepreneur, Advisor, and Educator with +25 years of experience in Entertainment Content, Operations, Communications, and Business. Worked with brands and franchises like Warcraft, Call of Duty, Diablo, Gundam, Digimon, Godzilla, Magic The Gathering, Twitch.tv, and Amazon Prime. Currently, he is the President and Co-founder of Mind's Vision, a professor of entertainment business at Full Sail University, and a marketing consultant for video games and entertainment startups.
Otavio is a fellow #RPGLATAM member, and Mind's Vision is a publisher which has been focusing on bringing some of the best TTRPGs from Brazil to the international market. They begin with Legacy of Cthulhu, but many more followed. Currently, Mind's Vision is crowdfunding Infaernum, a brutal role-playing game that approaches a theme that might be sensitive to some people. In this fictional world, one or more players roleplay characters who experience the last days of all things as doomsday comes near.
We talk about Infaernum and many other amazing Brazilian games in this episode, as well as about his work on the many cool fields he had experience with, the extensive collection of weird horror movies from all over the world and a lot more! It was a very insightful episode! I hoper you enjoy it.

Jordan Dube is the owner & operator of Goosepoop Games! He is greatly involved with the community: running game meetups and conventions as executive director of his local game group in Portland, ME, performing clarinet in a swing band, writing video game review articles, and climbing rocks at the rock gym. Formerly a UX designer, programmer, sound engineer, and Army clarinetist, Jordan uses his diverse knowledge to create accessible and approachable games for players of all types. Connection and supporting others is Jordan’s passion and he uses Goosepoop Games to pursue these values.
I am always interested in people working on making the community better, more welcoming, more accessible, and who would imagine they are also seeking new ways to make games, and dabbling with themes like philosophy, meditation, mindfulness. So Jordan work was super interesting to me instantly!

Harley Stroh, legendary RPG writer, Skate Punker, and an incredible Judge (or GM for the non-DCCers out there)! Author of moderns classics like Sailors of the Starless Sea, Doom of Savage Kings, Blades Against Death, Journey to the Center of Aereth, Tower of the Black Pearl, Peril on the Purple Planet, and more recently, the impressive The Music of the Spheres is Chaos, a massive boxed-set adventure with a spinning dungeon map! His work in the Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG line is super inspiring, and his adventures are some of my favorites of all time!
I've been a fan of Harley since I bought my first printing of the limited edition gold skull DCC RPG that came with Doom of Savage Kings, a very pulpy, and open-ended adventure that set very high standards for what I would expect of adventure for now on. I played this adventure so many times, and continue to do so, and I am always impressed how different every time can be.
Anyway, in this chat we talked about many things, from how sneakily weird Harley actually is, how he tries to write amazing adventures just to keep up with the fantastical art created by Doug Kovacs, how he runs his finger over his keyboard while writing, and so many other weird and wonderful things.
I loved to have this chance to talk to him for almost 2 hours, it was a real pleasure. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Luke Stratton, or Limithron as he is known throughout the seven seas of the internet, is an artist, game designer, producer, and so many other things. He is the creator of Pirate Borg, as well as Limithron's Guide to Naval Combat for 5th Edition D&D! He was with me on both Game On Expo and Gary Con, so we get to talk a little bit about those.
Luke and I had the chance to bond over the course of 2 weeks, as we both attended Game on Expo as Guest/Panalists, and went to Gary Con afterwards to relax among like minded gamers! I am very glad I spent that time with him and I am glad we could talk about that and many other things on the show.
We delved into his creative process, his effort to keep the passion for pirate stuff alive, the influences he had while working on Pirate Borg, other artists that inspire his way to work, and many other weird and wonderful things.

Denis McCarthy has been illustrating and making stock art for indie games since 2016. He has work on multiple tiles in the Indie and OSR community, having a style characterized by an attention to history and architecture. He also sells a lot of stock art, which features in innumerable products, including my own!
I've met Denis in a trip I made to Gen Con one of those years ago while I spent some days in NYC before the convention. We talked about art, games, design, life, and everything else. I had the chance to do this another time since them, and well, in this episode as well.
Denis is not only an artist but also a scholar. He studies a lot and know what he is talking about, as you will hear in the episode. We talk about many of our favorite influences, Denis praised GURPS, he shares some meditation techniques. It was great. Very insightful guest!

Michael is the mind behind Luck of Legends, where he teaches writing using games like Stories RPG - which is also his creation, a play-to-learn literacy game and podcast. He coaches teachers, runs after-school programs, writes curriculum, and zealously preaches the gospel of re-designing learning in and out of the classroom.
We have been following each other's work on twitter for a couple of years or so, and I've always been interested in gaming for kids (I think it relates to me really hoping my kid gets into tabletop gaming), and having wanted to work as an educator as well, and seeing the potential RPGs in special have to teach us, I saw Michael as a must have guest for our weird show!
And just like the rest of us, he is a weirdo and we talk for quite a while about gaming, learning, creativity, community, the celebration of being weird and so much more. It was a wonderful chat! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

As the original creator of the Mystic Punks, Anthony Meloro has been writing TTRPG zines and materials since 2016. Irvin Morales is a Game designer, content creator at Role Per Second YouTube channel, and CO-CEO of KoboldCon, a convention in Mexico that promotes the indie TTRPG movement in LATAM.
I am very happy to receive my friend and fellow RPGLATAM creator Irvin for a great chat about his journey in the TTRPG world, beginning as a player, becoming a GM, event organizer, store owner and then game designer.

Rafael Balbi is a Artist, Graphic Designer, Game Designer and Podcaster from Brazil who digs into game design theory in TTRPGs, dynamics of play and gaming systems. Billy Blue is a RPG artist and game designer. His clients include, Gallant Knight Games, Philip Reed, Gaming Ballistic, and Yog Du games. He also recently released his own RPG called TLD RPG, a rules lite Dark Fantasy RPG in which he works on integrating his art and writing into a single thing.
And we talked a lot about exactly that on the podcast. How to integrate Art and Game Design. We talked about the bless/curse of writing, illustrating, doing layout and everything in a book. We mentioned a lot of other creators whose work and creativity inspires us.

Lex Mandrake is an rpg content creator who writes games and supplements, produces videos, and composes music under the moniker Dank Dungeons.

Matthew Morris, aka ManaRampMatt has been playing roleplaying games for nearly a decade and has been creating and publishing games and supplements since 2020. He is obsessed with Mausritter and any other Into the Odd based game. David Blandy is an artist who makes rules light, flavour heavy games. David formed the Copy/Paste Co-Op with friend and illustrator Daniel Locke last year to make weird games for weird people in a weird (profit sharing) way. Some of his work includes Eco Mofos, Lost Eons, Babel and much more!
I'v been talking to David over Twitter for a while now and I am always impressed by the depth and width in his work. In this chat I had the opportunity to talk to him a little bit more about it, and about how he, as an artist, explores not only the medium of TTRPG, but music and other mediums to express himself and experiment.

Daniel Sell is the founder of Melsonian Art Council, a publisher of the finest TTRPG books, creator of Troika! The Science Fantasy RPG, and someone who is always lifting other creators up.
I've been following Daniel's work for a long while, since the days of Google + or something. I religiously bought all the Undercroft zines he released and fell in love with Troika! the movement it was released. His adventures have a very unique weirdness to it, a creativity that's hard to match, and a way to play that is just fun for both the Referee, who is has no idea what's is going to happen, and for the players, who have many options to follow, but always with a good guidance and motivations to play the adventure to its fullest. Wow!
In this chat we talked about the many years he has been working with TTRPG, honing his skill. We talked about how he has some issues with the "game designer" term and prefers to just be a "writer", how he is usually not that interested in new systems and mechanics. We talked about his many influences, both in terms of works that shaped the way he creates, and artists who shaped the way he approaches his process.

Jim Miller is the founder of Crit Hit AZ, a convention focused on tabletop gaming in Arizona, and is now Co-Director of Tabletop Games of Game on Expo, happening on March 15th to 17th in Phoenix. He is also a game designer and community builder, and, like all weirdos, a lot more than all of that.
I got to know Jim a long time ago, back when I was publishing my first games. Jim was super supportive of my work and the first photos of people playing my games on conventions are probably from Crit Hit AZ. Gratitude, Jim! <3
On this chat we talked about Jim's work as a community builder, how he is focusing on bringing tabletop games, and especially TTRPG to communities that might not have access to them most of the time.
We also talked about his work with Game Design, parenthood, the lessons he learned in life, mental health, ADHD, Anafantasia, and a lot more.

Megan Goins and Terry Azamber and new game designers with their first project being funded on this year's Zinequest. The project is called Terra Arcis, a captivating single-player journaling RPG game in which the players are invited to go on a harrowing trip into the beautiful and deadly kingdom of fairies.
I got in touch with Megan and Terry through Zac Goins, and he told me how they got into Solo Journaling game by playing my "Lost in the Deep" journaling game about being the last survivor in an expedition to reclaim the lost home of the dwarves, and being new creators in the scene, launching a Kickstarter in the middle of Zinequest, a super busy month, all of that, would be really interesting to explore in the podcast. Well, not mention the theme of their game, Terra Arcis, which is super weird and explored in a unique way in this game.
By the way, if you are into weird and the supernatural you are gonna enjoy this one!
