Spend just a few minutes scrolling social media or watching the news and you’ll be bombarded with multiple competing ideas, all advertised as truth. But how do you know if something is true or not?
What if you don’t need anyone else to tell you what’s true? What if you have, inside yourself, a lie detector you can activate at any given moment?
Today on Women’s Empowerment School, Sylvia is walking us through an exercise for accessing truth in times of lies. She explains why we must get out of fear in order to connect with our inner lie detector, describing how to shift from a state of stress and high-alert to one of groundedness and safety.
Sylvia goes on to discuss how our access to truth is not in the intellectual mind but in the body, helping us distinguish how it feels when we focus on something that is true versus an obvious lie. Listen in for insight into why people are more vulnerable to manipulation right now and learn how to activate your own access to truth when presented with contradictory theories.

We are in a season of growing conflict, dissonance and even hatred among people. And faced with someone we disagree with, it’s easy to get dragged into a sea of negative emotions—where unconditional love feels entirely out of reach. But what if we DO have the power to choose love, regardless of the circumstances?
Today on Women’s Empowerment School, Sylvia is sharing the twelfth chapter of her book, 12 Leadership Powers for Successful Women, ‘The Power of Unconditional Love.’ She weighs in on the patriarchal love-falls-from-the-sky paradigm of love, explaining how it takes the power out of our hands and portrays love as a kind of virus we catch in the right moment.
Sylvia then invites us to consider a radically different paradigm, reframing love as a conscious, creative act we CHOOSE and challenging us to love the person in front of us regardless of how we think they make us feel. Listen in for insight around the self-image you must cultivate in order to lead from love and learn how to leverage unconditional love to reap results that feel like magic!

What’s in a name? According to Sharón Lynn Wyeth, our name gives us our contract with the divine in this lifetime. So, what can we learn about our purpose and personality based on the letter combinations in our name? And can we leverage an understanding of neimology to make sense of our experience with the coronavirus?
Sharón is the creator of Neimology Science, the study of the placement of letters in a name. In 15 years of research and three years of testing in more than 70 countries, she has evaluated thousands of names and developed an expertise in uncovering an individual’s strengths, challenges and life purpose. Sharón is also the Founder and CEO of Know the Name, the host of Know the Name, Know the Genius in You and the bestselling author of Know the Name, Know the Person; Know the Name, Know the Spirit; and Know the Name, Know How to Connect.
Today, Sharón joins Sylvia to explain how she developed an expertise in names and created the science of neimology. She describes how our purpose is written in our birthname, how we choose our own name (and impress it on the person who names us) and how our last name influences who we attract into our lives. Listen in for Sharón’s analysis of the letter combinations in the name ‘coronavirus’ and learn how to apply this understanding to foster security within yourself and deeper connections with others.

Our world faces complex problems that simply cannot be solved with the same thinking that got us here. We desperately need diverse voices to tackle crises like large-scale conflict and climate change. And while we may consciously believe that women have the same right as men to lead with our words, many of us still hesitate, fearful of how we might be perceived or convinced that our ideas aren’t good enough. So, how do we learn to trust ourselves and feel safe in sharing our truth?
Today on Women’s Empowerment School, Sylvia is sharing the tenth chapter of her book, 12 Leadership Powers for Successful Women, ‘The Power of Your Word.’ She explains why our subconscious minds are still programmed with the outdated stereotypes of 7K years of patriarchy, making us believe that it isn’t safe for women to speak out, and addresses the perception around women who talk often versus men who speak up regularly.
Sylvia goes on to walk us through the ten habits for embracing the power of your word, challenging us to claim our own ideas, speak from our power center, end negative self-dialogue, and create alliances with other powerful leaders. Difficult circumstances are fertile ground for bringing out the best in us as leaders. But we don’t have to go through the eye of the hurricane ourselves to develop the new leadership traits Sylvia identified in dealing with her father’s death. In fact, we can consciously hone the skills in our daily lives and enjoy the 3 hyper states that emerge as a result.
Today, Sylvia introduces the 3 hyper states that result from applying the new leadership traits—hyper presence, hyper intentionality and hyper love. She shares the heightened sense of awareness that characterizes hyper presence, explaining how it afforded her clear inner guidance and made decision-making easy.
Sylvia goes on to explore the paradox around hyper intentionality, discussing how the state involves having clear goals—while being utterly aligned with flow. Listen in for insight into Sylvia’s kinesthetic experience of hyper love and learn how to reverse engineer the 3 hyper states by feeling them fully in your body.

Strong leaders show up as the best version of themselves in difficult times. Recently, Sylvia endured the death of her beloved father and moved her mother into a nursing home, circumstances requiring that she navigate unknown territory and make a great many decisions. And along the way, she discovered several new leadership traits that supported her through the process.
Today, Sylvia introduces the 3 Big Cs of leadership in a post-patriarchal world—courage, commitment and compassion. She discusses the old paradigm of courage in the form of a lonely hero, sharing her new definition of courage as a willingness to consciously step into the unknown and deliberately embrace the situation of feeling uncomfortable.
Sylvia goes on to expand our understanding of commitment and explain how it involves daily dedication to the best possible outcomes AND wellbeing for ourselves and others. Listen in to understand why compassion is NOT a weakness and learn how to make heart-centered decisions that serve you, the bottom line and everyone involved.

Most women have a love-hate relationship with words like LEADERSHIP and POWER. Yes, we want to make an impact and influence others. But the patriarchal model of leadership is that of a bully who uses their ego to wield power over others. Someone who is not particularly kind, loving or compassionate. How can we redefine what it means to be a good leader? And what are the characteristics of strong leadership in an evolving, post-patriarchal world?
Today, Sylvia walks us through the first 6 of 12 new leadership traits or freedoms that helped her navigate her father’s death. She explains how the freedom from fear and self-doubt helped her make decision after decision without browbeating anyone (including herself!) and describes how freedom from the need to please supported her when others disagreed with her handling of a situation.
Sylvia goes on to discuss the freedom from resistance that allowed her to surrender to the moment and achieve a flow state despite circumstances beyond her control. Listen in for Sylvia’s insight around embracing the paradox that comes with freedom from time pressure and learn how being free of perfectionism helped her find beauty in a messy, imperfect, surreal situation.

We live in a culture of disconnection. We’re disconnected from each other, from nature, from the divine. And life is disconnected from death. In fact, most of us avoid thinking about our mortality entirely. What if we learned to accept death as a natural part of life? What if we could use death to empower our decision-making? What if we engaged death as an advisor on our team?
Today, Sylvia explains the value of embracing death as a part of life and bringing it into our conscious awareness. She shares her recent experience with her father’s passing, describing her own freedom from the fear of death and exploring the concept of bardo—the space between life and death.
Sylvia goes on to discuss two books that changed the way she thinks about death, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying and Journey to Ixtlan, offering insight into the indigenous belief that death walks behind our left shoulder to remind us we’re mortal. Listen in as Sylvia challenges us to look honestly at our own relationship with death and learn how a productive dialogue with death can help us prioritize what’s really important.

Finally, she offers alternatives to being driven by the SHOULDS, introducing us to positive drivers like the BIG WHY and intuition.
