WONCA Europe organizes a special talk session called WETalk. This time we are talking with our previous guest Dr. Pavlo Kolesnyk and following up the medical situation in Ukraine.
Dr. Pavlo Kolesnyk is a well known WONCA Europe member, actively working Family Doctor from Ukraine. With the start of the crises he has been actively working on supporting the influx of refugees into his region. At the same time continuing the education of his trainees. During this WETalk he will give an update on the medical situation in Ukraine.

WONCA Europe organizes a special talk session called WETalk. This time especially on the needs of the doctors in Ukraine. A live session with a well known member, an actively working Family Doctor who shortly and directly describe the current medical condition in Ukraine and talk about their needs for those interested members of our MOs and our partner organizations.
This is a good opportunity for Ukrainian Family Doctors to be in touch directly with you and vice versa. Our respected colleague Pavlo who has worked with many of you as his country representative will talk on the needs like equipment, supply and technical support, also may provide the reliable addresses to be reached by our members willing to send medical aid.

Wonca Europe introduces "WE Talk". A short talk-show-like programme where a person of interest is interviewed.
Our fifth guest on WE Talk is Dr Sankha Randenikumara. Sankha is a young family doctor from Sri Lanka and the Chair of the Spice Route Movement (Wonca Young Doctors’ Movement of South Asia). He is a candidate to become a Wonca World Executive Committee Young Doctors’ Representative.

WONCA Europe introduces "WE Talk", a short talk-show-like programme where a person of interest is interviewed. Dr Mehmet Ungan will be the host of the show.
Our fourth guest is Dr. Pratyush Kumar. He is a young rural family doctor from Bihar, India. He is passionate about rural health and chairs rural health group of South Asia Wonca Rural South Asia (WoRSA), Secretary - Rural WONCA, Advisory board member - The Network-TUFH and WONCA executive member. During residency he was awarded best DNB doctor award which was first for a family medicine resident.
He founded WoRSA in 2016 during the final year of residency, organised the world rural health conference-2018 and it's Delhi declaration was endorsed by WHO and got elected the same year as WONCA executive member at large. He also participated in the WHO conference on primary healthcare which gave the Astana Declaration.
He is the founder of project HAPPY-G (Health Advice and Promotion, disease Prevention among Youth Geriatrics), Rural Health success stories, PCR forum (primary care research).
He is now a candidate to become a member-at-large of WONCA World.

Our third guest is Dr Maria Pilar Astier Peña. She is a Spanish Family and Community Medicine Specialist and a Preventive Medicine and Public Health Specialist from Spain. She belongs to Sem FYC (Spanish Society for Family and Community Medicine) and is the chair of the patient safety working party of Sem FYC. She works as a frontline family doctor in a primary health centre in Zaragoza (Spain). She is an associated professor at the Medical School, University of Zaragoza since 2005.
She is now applying to become a member at large of Wonca, with a special interest in the position of WHO liaison.

Our second guest is Dr Viviana Martinez - Bianchi. Viviana Martinez-Bianchi is Associate Professor, and Director for Health Equity in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Duke University in North Carolina, US. She is a Member-at-large of the WONCA World Executive and WONCA-WHO-Liaison since 2016, and Chair of the Organizational Equity Committee. Viviana has represented WONCA to WHO and the United Nations starting with the UN High Level Meeting on NCDs in 2011. She is now one of the candidates for WONCA World President.

In our first talk we are talking with Dr Raman Kumar. Dr Kumar represented all young family physicians on the executive board of the WONCA World from 2013-2016. He continues to be on the WONCA World Executive Committee as the regional president of WONCA South Asia. He is now one of the candidates for WONCA World President.
