Hosted by Coni Koepfinger: Hello and Welcome to AIRPLAY - you experimental theatre on the web.... today is our final episode for the season. We will be taking the summer off but we'll be back in the Fall with an exciting newseason for you. And as advertised OUR NEW PLAY COMPETITION - We we will choose 6 finalists who we consider have the strongest mono;ogues from a full length play. We will discuss how and why they were chosen and we will do an indepth analysis of the work through the eyes of the winning playwrights.
So today, we are going offer another sample of strong monologues inside a larger work.
Today's play is: CANDLEDANCING, The Voice of Julian of Norwich: by Coni Koepfinger.
CAST :
Christy Donahue -will read ANNA, a young novice who has not taken her vows yet but serves as a worker at the East Abbey, in the laundry and the kitchen
Dr. Vivian Dorsett - will read SISTER KATE, one of the sisters at the convent, who teaches writing in the school at the orphanage, she is a playwright and a scholar hoping to get her academic papers as well as her creative work published.
Pauline Rose Moore - MOTHER MARY AGNES, the Mother Superior at East Abbey
Lani Cerveris Cataldi, will be reading the voice – WILL, an orphan choirboy, who recently just showee up on the steps of the East Abbey- he’s a bit peculiar as he stares at the candle flame until he goes catatonic. Plus The Stage Directions. -

While fighting cancer Amy is determined to rise to the challenge by writing poetry and coming up with a different take on her illness.
"Amy's story suddenly came to me and I wrote quickly, without feeling the need to edit. I've always loved poetry so I liked helping Amy compose her own poem that didn't quite rhyme. I'm always grateful when my characters become "real." This is exactly what happened with Amy. I could hear her voice as I wrote and I continue to think about her and admire her bravery."
