On today’s episode of The Mindset Mentor Podcast we’re setting you up for a pretty great day today and potentially every other day in your life moving forward if you can catch what I’m throwing with this episode.
Every single one of us knows what happiness feels like, and yet many of us struggle to put it into words. The reality is that “happiness” means something different to everyone. However, I believe that regardless of what happiness means for you, it really all boils down to 1 very specific realization.
That 1 realization is that happiness is a state of mind that can only exist when desires are absent. That’s not entirely all there is to it though, but I strongly believe that “desire” is the one true barrier between being happy and not. Desire is a contract that we make for ourselves to NOT be happy, until we have what it is that we want.
In this episode we’ll unpack what desire really is, how it hurts us, and everything else you need to fully understand in order to start looking at life with new eyes today and get closer to living a more fulfilling life of peace and happiness.
If you like this episode…

A lot of guys are left confused after getting a girl's number, exchanging a few messages, only to find that she turns cold and won't text you back for no obvious reason.
The truth is you didn’t build enough attraction before getting the number and she’s just not that excited about texting with you, sorry!
So how can you solve this? By listening to Coach Mark Sing of course! In this episode, he covers the ‘Attraction Matrix’ which is an easy-to-understand method of measuring how many signs of attraction you’ve gotten from a woman which will allow you to go in for the number at the right time and ensure she’s going to be excited and engaging when messaging with you.

If you are currently providing care for a spouse, parent, or child with special needs or recognize you may be in this role eventually someday, listen to this episode to learn best practices for making an action plan.
These can be professionals, family members, neighbors, and friends. Consider how each person might be able to help the most.
Step #1 - Make a list of who is willing, qualified, and able to help.Step # 2 - Understand the ask, needs, and time commitment
You might be able to get more people to help if you can choose the right people or service providers for the right tasksOutline, for each member of your Support Network, exactly what their time commitment and responsibilities will need to be and get their commitment To relieve the burden on yourself and your Support Network, hire service providers for busyworkHaving a Support Network is wonderful, but it can quickly fall apart without consistent, positive, and constructive communicationWhen stressed, it is natural to pull back or withdraw, focusing all energy on the issue on hand, or to divert all energy to other things, to ignore or avoid the issue completelyAs a key member of the Support Network, you should avoid this natural tendency to withdrawYour Support Network needs to be openly and constantly discussing issues, challenges, things that are going well, and things that might need to be reconsideredYour Support Network is your team, and they will perform at their best if they are not confused or frustrated and are encouraged to speak up, resulting in the highest likelihood of positive outcomes
Be careful not to assume all the responsibility and attempt to do everything or to put too much on any one person, or you (or they) are very likely to experience burnout.Step #3- Understand the necessary legal documents needed
It's one thing to provide for your loved one's care, and it's another to be legally empowered with responsibility and authority.Often overlooked until it is too late, there are a handful of documents that can grant you legal authority to carry out your duties when you step into the role of caregiver or care coordinator.
These are the Power of Attorney, Health Care Proxy and Living Will, and Special Authorization with Medicare.

We've all heard plenty about the negativity bias in our brain. But, did you know that we actually have the power and ability to retrain and reprogram our body to crave happy neurochemicals instead of cortisol (the stress hormone)?!
Radha Agrawal and Dr. Dacher Keltner are 4 months into collecting data on how dance and other modalities improve joy. They have developed a Happiness Quiz - the first comprehensive brain-body quiz that looks at multiple areas of your life and based on your answers delivers a "joy prescription" with what happy neurochemicals you need more support with. You can then "fill your prescription" with daily practices and activities designed to meet those needs such as breath work, yoga, forest bathing.
Tune in to learn how to practice joy and BE happier!

We often follow a misguided formula for happiness—pushing us toward material wealth and other worldly successes. But when our expectations set us down the wrong path, it may be time to reorient ourselves around something new: universal happiness principles we can practice at any age.
In our finale episode of this season, a conversation with psychiatrist Robert Waldinger provides a scientific insight into key elements for happy living, whatever your age.
This episode was produced by Rebecca Rashid and is hosted by Arthur Brooks. Editing by A.C. Valdez and Claudine Ebeid. Fact-check by Ena Alvarado. Engineering by Matthew Simonson.
