This is probably one of the biggest struggles tall women face: finding jeans.
And not just any pair of jeans, but jeans that are flattering AND long enough. If you just had flashbacks or cringed or agreed or had any type of reaction to what I just said, Iâm sure you understand the struggle.
Itâs not uncommon for a tall woman to walk into a store, bright and eager to buy a pair of jeans, pick a few of them off the rack, try them on, and they fit like capris.
Oh dear, Iâm having some bad memories right now.
And online, itâs even worse because you canât try them on. Itâs easy to get excited when you see âtall sectionsâ, purchase a pair of jeans from there, get them in the mail, only to try them on and find out theyâre a 32-inch inseam. How is that considered tall??
Honestly, who knows, but why is this jean struggle so bad for tall women? And how does this affect our relationship with jeans, clothes, and fashion overall? I answer that and more in todayâs episode, so tune in!

Dating as a tall womanâŠThat is aâŠbeautiful thing.
Ok, growing up, it was lowkey awkwardâŠwell, for me at least.
Iâve had a total of 3 crushes in my lifetime. Two of which were from middle school. And I was taller than both of them, of course. Ok, not like a million inches taller, but tall enough where you can notice the height difference. And it was very awkward, already while middle school being an awkward time in anyoneâs life.
But throughout the middle school years, Iâd see them with their girlfriends who were always shorter than them. And I was like ohâŠso yâall donât like me cuz Iâm taller than you?? Welp, weâll never know because I never asked. However, this became a pattern even as I got older â the whole girlfriends being shorter than their boyfriends. It kinda makes you ask, do guys prefer women who are shorter? Are tall women undesirable in the dating world?
Weâre gonna answer these questions and more in this episode, so tune in!

There is a strong connection between your height and your health. And yes, we commonly know the aches and pains and posture problems that come with being tall, but weâre gonna go deeper than that. Like Iâm talking about chronic diseases, like bone disease, peripheral neuropathy, and certain cancers. Oof, that sounds scary. And lowkey it is, but weâll get into that a little bit later.
While weâre on the topic of diseases, apparently, being tall happens to be viewed as a disease, specifically for girls. Yeah, weâre going to get real deep into the health risks of being tall and what this whole âbeing tall was a diseaseâ thing means, so letâs get into it!
This episode was actually a request from one of you guys! One of you asked if I could do an episode on tall woman diseases, and if I could have a doctor on this episode. So yes, we are talking about diseases tall people are more susceptible to, BUT we donât have a doctor on this episode lol. However, I will be incorporating TikTok videos of health professionals speaking on this matter.
And this is a good time to provide a disclaimer. This is NOT meant to give medical advice. I am NOT a medical professional. Iâm just a tall girl with a microphone who has done some research and is sharing it on the Internet lol.
But before we get into diseases and so forth, letâs talk about something interesting I found.
Apparently, being tall was viewed as a disease??? Back in the day, doctors would give young girls hormones to prevent them from growing to adult height. Whatâs the deal with that? Tune in to the full episode for more!

Has anyone ever mistaken you for being older because of your height?
I know I have, but weâll get into that a little later. But Iâm sure when you were like 11 or 12 or even a teenager, strangers or even distant family members assumed you were 1, 2, or even 5 years older than you actually were. And then when you told them your actual age, they were surprised. I mean at that age, many of us have baby faces, so itâs sometimes like: Do I really look that old???
But what if I told you that regardless of whether or not people know your age, except maybe parents or close friends, people may treat you a certain way and perceive you a certain way because of your height. And yes, this goes for both tall and short girls.
So without further ado, letâs get into it!
Today, we are talking about how height affects how we are treated. Fun fact: We are talking a little bit about the short girlies and how theyâre treated based on their height and will delve into that same topic for tall women. I know this podcast is for tall women, but I think for the purposes of this episode, itâs helpful to explain how this applies to the short girlies and compare that to the tall girlies.
Tune in to the full episode where I talk about the infantilization of short women, the adultification of tall girls, and how both affect how we are treated and sexualized!

So apparently⊠tall girls are trending on social media???
And lowkey for the wrong reasons.
Let me explain.
Over the past few weeks, Iâve been seeing on my TikTok feed specifically, men (keep this in mind for later), talking about tall women and saying how theyâre beautiful, how they've been slept on in the dating world, and so forth. And these videos are getting tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands of likes, views, shares, and so forth.
Great. Awesome. Youâre probably like, whatâs wrong with that? Donât you agree with them? Oh, of course I do. 100000%. But the thing is, tall women have been saying this for YEARS, but now itâs like, yesssssss tall women slay queen period sis purr. Câmon now.
Now listen, this isnât the only trend of tall women. We are trending right now for multiple reasons. Itâs just that these men saying these things about tall women is a bit interesting to me. Once again, I donât think that itâs a bad thing. I donât think they have any ill intent. My thing is why is this a trending idea? Trends indicate whatâs cool right now. Whatâs cool in the moment. Why is this cool right now when it should be cool overall, right?
Tall women have always been amazingâŠitâs just why are so many people making this âtrendyâ now? And honestly, this really just shows how men kinda dictate what the societal beauty standards are and whatâs considered conventionally attractive.
Anyways, what are these men saying about tall women exactly? And why is social media a messy space for tall women? Tune in to the episode for more!

âTall girls just arenât that pretty.â
Thatâs how weâre made to feel or even what weâre told growing up by our crush, our peers, even family and friends, and strangers. And itâs not a one-and-done thing. In fact, itâs recurring. We hear and feel this often enough for us to wonder:
Does everyone have the same viewpoint of tall women?
That weâre these âbigâ, awkward skyscrapers?
Why? Why is this the case?
I got 3 words for ya:
Societal beauty standards.
This is explained in a piece written in the Minnesota Daily by Sidney Clarke, who says, âheight has been inextricably associated with a lack of conventional beauty.â
Why is this the case? And how can we overcome this?
Well, thatâs what todayâs episode is all about! Tune in for more!

Truthfully, being tall can be an isolating experience. I mean, itâs very rare to have a moment where you can just feel like everyone else. Whenever you walk into a room, youâre immediately noticed and get stares. People feel the need to make comments about your height. You see that cute fit your friends are wearing? Yeah, you canât wear that because itâs not long enough. Experiences like these add up over time, causing us to feel like the odd one out constantly. Like the world treats you differently because of something you canât control.
After a while, you start to wonder if there's a place for you or just anyone who can understand or relate or literally treat you like a normal human being. Today, I will be breaking down why many of us tall women feel this silent loneliness and why we shouldnât downplay this or pretend it doesnât affect us.
Ok, was this a bit dramatic?? Maybe. But also not really. Because high school me/middle school me felt this way. Felt really isolated, felt like the odd one out. And I wanna say super early on that this episode is to not complain about being tall or hating on it. Because I know people will say âoh youâre so lucky to be tallâ and bla bla bla like I get it. For real. Being tall is a blessing but it also has its trying moments.
People will call you the weirdest names.
And say the most heinous things about your body and height.
Strangers will stare and point at you in public.
Even your friends will say/do some shady things.
All of this is on top of the fact that you're hyper-aware of your height in public and are constantly comparing your height to your shorter peers.
When living in a world where many people are shorter than you, it can be hard. Truthfully. If you can relate, I highly recommend checking this episode out!

By the time this episode is up, my birthday will have already passed! Ya girl is 23 years old PERIODDDDDDD XDDDDDD. I had a whole thing over the weekend to celebrate my birthday since my birthday was indeed on a Tuesday EWUH lol so we had to work but if you wanna see what happened and some flicks and such, make sure you check out my socials. And donât forget to wish me a happy birthday!
Alrighty, today we are talking about how some tall clothing is in fact not tall clothing. Over the course of the past few months, Iâve stumbled across a few videos of some tall girls complaining about how pants that were labeled as âtallâ or âlongâ arenât actually âtallâ or âlongâ. Like the jeans were not hitting their ankles. Not even close LOL.
And I find this interesting because when we talk about tall girl problems in regards to clothing, we typically talk about how clothing brands donât cater to us at all. Like thereâs no tall clothing available at that particular store. BUT we donât talk about when tall brands do have tall clothing lines, but the items STILL ARENâT LONG ENOUGH. Now thatâs a whole different level lol because itâs like why are you gonna label something as tall but itâs not long enough??
Where did you get your market research from?
Did you even do any market research??
Anyways, I will go deeper into why these brands have tall clothing lines that arenât actually âtallâ and where we should be getting our clothes from instead. Tune in to the full episode for more!

Okay, I have to ask â am I the only one?
Am I the only tall girly who has considered height reduction surgery?
Okay I was like 10 when I was actively considering it lol so there was no way that was ever really gonna happen but still. I hated my height so much that I genuinely wanted it. But thank goodness I didnât get it because NOW I really do love my height.
So, what is height reduction surgery?
Height reduction surgery is a procedure that aims to reduce overall height by removing a portion of a bone or intentionally damaging growth plates to stop further growth. And yes okay this is a real thing; go and look it upâŠor just listen to this episode.
I honestly think there are several medical reasons why someone would get this surgery, such as to even out limbs that are at different lengths, but this procedure remains rare. Why?? Who knows. Maybe because of the various risks associated with it.
However, the tall girlies are not looking to get this procedure for medical reasons. So why would they actively consider it? Tune in to the full episode to find out!
And a big thanks to Sumissura for sponsoring todayâs episode!
Finding clothes that actually fit our length and proportions is one of the biggest struggles tall women face. Because, letâs be real, most big brands just donât get it. They either ignore us completely or think adding a couple of inches makes something âtall.â Yeah⊠not quite.
Thatâs where Sumissura comes in. Theyâre a custom clothing brand that uses a made-to-measure system to create garments tailored to your body. All you have to do is enter your height, weight, and body type, and using over 13 years of algorithm training, they predict your measurements, including leg length, waist, and more so that you never have to second-guess the fit.

Todayâs episode is actually inspired by a couple of TikTok videos Iâve seen recently. It started off with a tall girl video-ing herself what text on the screen saying âme at workâ or something of that sort. Then it cuts to screenshots of people (stock images of course) with things that these people in the workplace have said to her because sheâs tall. So things like âOh I wish I had your heightâ or âWhy donât you play basketball?â and so forth lol
I thought it was funny; I thought it was a joke so I kept scrolling. Then I came across ANOTHER video of a tall girl talking about how she was in a meeting for work and that the person said âOh, youâre taller than I expectedâ. And then I was like ohâŠso stuff like this happens for real lol?? Do people actually make comments about our height in professional settings?
Now, the thing is Iâm mainly remote. Iâm a freelance marketer and I go into some type of office, professional setting like one day a week. And thatâs only been happening for a few weeks. So I canât really speak on the experiences of being a tall woman in the workplace. So I did what anyone else would do and took my inquiries to the Internet - aka Reddit and you guys lol.
So I asked yâall on Instagram what your experiences have been like in the workplace as tall women. Because letâs face it, people say that tall people tend to be more successful in their careers, get paid more, etc. And by tall people, they mean tall men. Letâs find out if tall womenâs experiences are the same or different. Tune into the full episode!

One of the biggest struggles tall girls will ever face is fashion/clothing problems. Like we allllll know the struggle.
Itâs pretty normal for us to walk into a store and see a petite clothing section, a regular size clothing section, even a plus size section, but weâre like, whereâs the tall section?? So that leads us to take our search online. Half the time major brands lie about selling tall clothing. They literally just slap an extra inch of fabric and call it tall without considering our proportions. Or if youâre anything like me, sometimes you find true tall clothing to be a little too tall :///
Lol itâs like we canât win.
Or can we??
Today, Iâm partnering with Sumissura to see if itâs the solution to our tall girl problems. Sumissura is a custom clothing brand that uses a made-to-measure system to create garments that are unique to your body. They use several years of algorithm training to calculate measurements based on your height, weight, age, and body type.
I went through the whole entire process from designing my garments down to the smallest details like the buttons to getting the clothes delivered to me and trying them on.

Today, we are joined by a special guest â a fellow tall girl named Heidi!
We are talking about all things tall from fashion to media representation and even societal norms. Letâs face it: as tall women, it can feel like the world is against us sometimes. Clothing brands rarely cater to us (although I will say that itâs gotten better in recent years!). Weâre often depicted as villainous or masculine in the media. And people tend to make unwarranted comments and ask STOOPID questions regarding our height.
And with most of the people around us being shorter than us, itâs easy to feel alone.
But the tall girl community remains strong as always! Plenty of us have experienced the same thing, and today, Heidi and I are ready to share our stories and provide advice on overcoming these challenges. Tune in to the full episode for more!

Your height plays a bigger role in your life than you think. It plays a part in your health, the type of clothing you wear, the opportunities you receive, and even peopleâs first impressions of you.
Yup, I said it, it even affects people's first impressions of you.
People will literally treat you a certain way because of your height and many tall women feel as though theyâre treated unfairly or even discriminated against because of their height, which leads us to the topic of discussion: is height discrimination even real? And how does it affect tall women?
Fun fact, I was actually stuck on what to talk about this week, so I ran a poll over on Instagram. Some of the topics I was looking to discuss included social media being bad for tall girls, what itâs like being a tall woman in the workplace, height discrimination, and the tall family who lied about their height. And the topic of height discrimination BARELY won, indicating that I got some good topics here :)
Anyways, HEIGHT DISCRIMINATION. Height discrimination, or heightism, is essentially people being treated unfairly or unequally because of their height. This can look like bullying or microaggressions, rejection in dating solely on the basis of height, and even peopleâs perceptions of you being affected in the workplace because of your height.
It can even affect whether or not you get a job or promotion!
So is height discrimination a real thing? Does it affect tall women? Tune in to the full episode for more!

As tall girls, we all know the struggle when it comes to fashion, right? đ I mean, we talk about it all the timeâlong sleeves that barely reach our wrists, pants that refuse to reach our ankles, and donât even get me started on those ridiculously long crotches. The proportions are outrageous. And it just never seems to endâŠ
But what if there was a solution?
Today, Iâm chatting with Nancy Peyer, the online marketing specialist and content manager at Sumissura, which is a clothing brand where YOU get to design pieces you wearâweâre talking about measurements all the way down to the tiniest details, like monograms and buttons. Yes, buttons people. đ
I got to ask Nancy questions about how tall girls can create their custom-fit pieces AND how the brand is sustainable (because letâs face it, climate change is NOT A JOKE YâALL).

Body Dysmorphia.
When people think about body dysmorphia, they usually picture someone standing in a mirror fixating on certain parts of their body or obsessing over their weight or even just not even fitting into societal standards. But rarely do people associate this with height.
While many people tell us that our height is a gift, body dysmorphia, sometimes coined as height dysmorphia, is something that tall women struggle with because our height can distort the way we see ourselves. So today, weâre breaking down how body dysmorphia is ruining tall women's lives and how no one seems to give a f***.
Tune in to the full episode for more on what exactly body dysmorphia looks like in tall women, what causes it, and how people are gaslighting us about it!
~~ALSO A DISCLAIMER: I am not saying that any of the people in this episode have body dysmorphia; Iâm simply sharing examples of what COULD BE. Take it with a grain of salt; I donât have the credentials to diagnose anyone :)

Today, we are joined by a special guest: Christine Nelson! Christine is a fellow tall woman whose mission is to help women dress with confidence. And as a tall girl herself, she is hoping to do that for the tall girl community too!
As a tall woman, styling can be challenging beyond just finding clothes that fit. Proportions play a huge roleâtops that should hit at the waist may land too high, dresses might feel too short, and pants are often not long enough. Even when clothing is the right length, the way it drapes on a taller frame can be different from how it was designed to look. Oversized pieces can overwhelm, while certain cuts that flatter average heights may look unbalanced on our bodies.
Accessories, like belts and shoes, also impact the overall look differently, requiring more thought into how to create cohesion. And then there's the societal pressureâtall women are often told to "tone down" their height, leading some to avoid heels or statement pieces that draw attention. Styling as a tall woman isnât just about putting together an outfit; itâs about navigating proportions, confidence, and the limited options available in mainstream fashion.
And our guest Christine is here to provide some expert advice about how tall women can dress to impress and feel good in their own skin through fashion! Tune in to the episode for more :)

This episode is actually inspired by a few comments Iâve gotten on my socials over the past few weeks. If you donât follow me on my socials (like how dare you lol jk jk), I typically post podcast clips and commentary style vids so essentially much of my content is more commentary style in regard to tall women in society and so forth. Meaning that I often talk about the struggles we face.
And there are two particular comments that stood out to me. One was under a TikTok video of me basically discussing how tall women arenât viewed as feminine and we try to overcompensate by hyper-feminizing ourselves and essentially acting in a way that just isnât natural to us. This person specifically commented that petite women are more feminine end of story and that I canât reason my way out of this AND I shouldnât try to convince men who donât like tall women to like them. And Iâm like this video isnât even directed towards men nor did I even mention anything about a man lol. Chill out bruv.
In another post (I was discussing how we hyper-feminize ourselves because people call us/see us as masculine), someone commented with a picture of a fake credit card with âvictim cardâ on top of it. And Iâm like Oh?? Haha ok???? Iâm noticing a pattern here: people tend to dismiss our struggles, experiences, and insecurities.
Anyways, so this does raise the question: are tall womenâs insecurities real? Why do people often dismiss them? I dive deeper into the answers in my podcast episode!

Today, we are joined by a special guest, the founder and owner of a new tall girl brand called Larson, Camryn Larson! Larson is all about bringing what weâre calling âtimeless trendyâ (yes, we coined this term during the episode lol) pieces to the tall girl community. Think of those cute outfit inspo photos you scroll past on PinterestâLarson is making those a reality but designed âspecifically for tall womenâ.
Because letâs be real: the fashion industry is failing us. Whether itâs brands that donât even bother to make taller options or those that try and fail miserably, time and time again, weâre left disappointed. Camryn felt this frustration firsthand and decided to do something about it. Inspired by her college capstone project, she turned her vision into reality so tall women no longer have to settle for ill-fitting clothes or miss out on looking chic.
But Larson is about more than just clothesâitâs about creating a space where tall women feel seen, celebrated, and empowered to embrace their height without apologies. Donât miss this episode as we dive into her journey, discuss why the fashion industry is falling short, and explore how Larson is rewriting the rules for tall fashion!

Today, well last night honestly, was a very sad day for many of us lol. TikTok officially went black. It was supposed to go black on Sunday January 19, 2025 (when Iâm recording this) but it left the premises literally the night before lol. We thought we had time to download everything that night but nope we donât.
UPDATE: The app came back lol. The president-elect saved it. There are actually loads of problems with the app now though soooooo weâll see how that goes :////
Anyways, onto todayâs episode. Today we are talking about the masculine stereotype that tall women often face and how they try to overcompensate that by being hyperfeminine. Ok ok lol I know that was a lot to take in but I promise itâll make more sense as we get more into the episode.
This was actually inspired by a Reddit post by a fellow tall girl. She claims that people have jokingly called her a man. Sheâs tall, yes, but she also has an androgynous style, likes gaming and cars, and so forth. Though those are just part of who she is, sheâs felt the need to overcompensate with femininity. Sounds like something that happens to most of us, or at least to me for sure.
Iâve talked various times on this podcast about how tall women are often seen as masculine. Why? Because height = masculinity. The taller a person is, the more likely someone will see them as masculine. Nothing new here.
However, not all of us want to be perceived that way right? Because that does affect not only the way people treat us but also the people who choose to be around us, the people we attract. So some of us want to be perceived as feminine and feel the need to display hyperfeminine characteristics and behaviors.
What do these behaviors and characteristics look like in tall women? Tune in to the full episode to find out!

Itâs officially been about a week since I had a little âmenty b,â lol. I wonât explain too much because Iâll likely update you on my socials and newsletter.
But I am okay-er now. Just trying to keep going. I have a few exciting things like starting my new part-time job and working with a new client and so forth. Itâs kinda hard to complain though when there are fires in California, high congestion pricing in NYC, and people losing their income because TikTok is being banned.
Speaking of which, yup, TikTok will likely be banned in a week. There was a hearing recently and TikTok basically said, we know we have to leave or sell to an American company and TikTok was like weâre just gonna leave. Soooooo itâs looking like theyâre leaving the premises :////// So yeah! Make sure you follow me on Instagram and Pinterest until further notice lol.
Alright, today we are talking about tall girls and heels. Youâre probably like why are we talking about this??? Listen, this goes deeper than just what we wear. It causes deep-rooted insecurities of not just being judged for what we wear but also insecurities surrounding being tall. Letâs get into it.
âYouâre gonna be too tall.â
âYouâre already tall; you donât need to be taller.â
âWhy do you even need to wear heels?â
These are just some of the comments that tall women receive if they want to or choose to wear heels.
But have you heard about the history of heels? They were actually meant for MEN. Yup, you read that correctly, heels were originally made for men. Tune in to the full episode for more on this and why people have issues with tall women wearing heels!
