Lucie is joined by activist and community organiser Matteo De Vos to discuss the role of play in community organising and making change. Matteo cares deeply and seriously about making his work as an activist as playful, joyful and creative as possible. As a theatre improviser and a community organizer for Roots (part of Greenpeace organisation), he uses creative storytelling to fight for environmental and social justice. He is also the host of the For Food's Sake podcast and the Why We Organize podcast.

This week I am delighted to be speaking to Annie Yi a storyteller, artist, and animal enthusiast. She tells stories that help people see themselves and their place in the world in a new light.
Over the episode we discuss how to access states of wonder, what prevents us from feeling wonder and how we can cultivate a practice of wonder to turn it from something that happens once in a while to a regular part of our life.
Annie also shares her wisdom on how we shift perspective and look again at things we think we know or are scared we don't understand.

Welcome to the Almost Grown...Up Summer Series - If you are in the northern hemisphere we are in full-on summer season now and to help boost some playfulness that naturally comes with the longer days and more relaxed schedules I decided this August instead of our usual podcast episodes we are going to have 4 weeks of play projects. Each week I will share a mini-episode that will give you a play project to complete. So we all get to practice being a little more playful every week and see what comes out of it.
