In this episode of Amos Rex’s podcast, curator and writer dr. Nat Muller interviews artists Larissa Sansour and Søren Lind about their artistic practice. This is the second of two episodes delving into Sansour and Lind’s art, titled Historical Narratives and Memoricide. In this episode Muller, Sansour and Lind discuss the historical and geographical framework of Sansour’s work, the narratives of history and the duo’s artworks, and the ownership of memories and stories.
Palestinian-Danish artist Larissa Sansour and Danish artist and author Søren Lind’s works are on view in at Amos Rex until March 2nd, 2025. The exhibition opens up a space for new ways of thinking about Palestinian history, loss and trauma. Sansour’s carefully considered and aesthetically refined video works and installations weave historical and contemporary politics with imagined realities, using the narrative methods of sci-fi, documentary and opera.

In it, Muller, Sansour and Lind discuss the meaning of trauma and memory in the construction of Palestinian identity, inherited trauma, the use of sci-fi in the artits’ works, and the universal nature of the works and themes.

In this episode of Amos Rex’ podcast, you can listen to a talk recorded during the opening ceremony of Ryoji Ikedas solo exhibition between the artist and US-based independent curator Mika Yoshitake.
Ikeda and Yoshitake are talking about Ikedas long and multifaceted artistic career and what has shaped his practice. Yoshitake is specialized in post-war and contemporary Japanese art and has been following Ikedas art since 2001.
Japanese composer and artist Ryoji Ikeda works with sound, rhythm, light, scientific images and data visualization. Drawing inspiration from physical phenomena and mathematical concepts Ikeda translates invisible material and data into performances and audiovisual installations.
