For many of us, feedback may not be something we look forward to or even seek out. That’s why, in this solo episode, I share why asking for feedback regularly—whether in the moment or weekly—is crucial for growth. I also discuss the reasons you might not be receiving feedback and how to change that by creating opportunities and seeking input from the right people. And finally, I’ll discuss how to manage your emotions after hearing feedback, using it as a tool to improve and serve others better.

That’s right, this week we’re looking at PROOF that you are uniquely gifted and talented. There are verses commonly used to explain gifts like Romans 12:3-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, but we wanted to discuss some less-commonly shared verses as well that support this truth that you are gifted in a unique, special, and helpful way.
Join us as we read through Exodus 31:1-6, Exodus 35:30-35, 1 Peter 4:7-11 in addition to Romans 12:3-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:4-11. In our discussion, we also emphasize that discovering your gifts is often a gradual process, not something that happens all at once or in some dramatic, grand way. We both also share our own personal journeys with understanding our gifts and how to use them. Perhaps you can relate to one of our stories, but either way, remember that God is continuing to work through you no matter how aware you are (yet) of these gifts.

It Isn’t Always God’s Will to Give You Clarity: It might sound crazy coming from two career coaches who talk to people every day about finding clarity, but this topic is much more nuanced than just having clarity and not having clarity. God’s will is for you to learn to exercise wisdom to steward the unique abilities, resources, and opportunities He has given you for His glory and the good of others.
God will ALWAYS give you wisdom (James 1:5) but not necessarily answers and/or a foretelling of the future or direct instructions on what exactly to do. This might be because He wants to increase your faith, and it also might be because you are free to choose in certain matters where more than one path is wise and God-honoring. In today’s episode, we discuss the “revealed” will of God and the hidden will of God and what to do when you don’t experience direct clarity on your given situation or career.

Finding your calling begins with discerning God’s will. But what really are your motives for seeking God’s will? It's easy to fall into a trap of self-preservation or self-promotion and let ulterior motives actually lead our discernment.
In this episode, we dive into the deeper motives behind seeking God's will in your career by discussing how to be careful of living over, under, for, or from God. We will dive into how each posture can distort our relationship with Him, and how seeking His will as a means of being with God is the best way to draw near to him and truly discern his will for your life and career.

When we say that every job is meaningful, what do we really mean by that?
Have you ever found yourself thinking that bringing people to Christ, funding missions, and serving the poor were the only jobs that *really* mattered? Trust us, you're not alone in that thinking. We know there are a lot of Christians out there who struggle with that same belief.
This week, we get real on this topic and openly discuss how hurtful and damaging it is to deem some jobs meaningless and place higher value on other jobs.

"A-Player…"
"High performer…"
"Best on the team…"
I don’t know about you, but these titles are a little scary! I mean, I’m sure we all want to be one, but how can you, especially when your confidence has taken a hit in the past?
On today's episode of the podcast, we wanted to share a grace-based view on how you can become the most trustworthy person on your team and with your friends by sharing discussing exactly what it means to be an A-player. This list of 8 practical things you can do TODAY will help you immediately step up your game as an employee and/or a boss.
Special thanks to Jordan Raynor for this list; be sure to listen to his podcast, Mere Christians, where he discusses all things faith & work!
Jordan Raynor’s definition of an A-Player:
Does exactly what they say they will do Doesn’t drop the ball on a task or project Responds to every email, Slack message, phone call, and text within 24 business hours Always shows up on time, and more often than not, shows up early Hits and often exceeds expectations on their OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) Renegotiates their commitments if they know they won’t be able to deliver Doesn’t allow a meeting to end until next actions have been clearly defined Is a joy to work withCheering you on,
