**Trigger warning for this episode: asthenophobia**I apologize that we don't have a good Mother's Day story tonight, but Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing moms out there! We have officially hit 50 episodes, and are returning to the book of Daniel--chapters 7 through 9--covering the first three visions. It may not be the most relaxing story... but it's definitely an important one. The books of Daniel and Revelation provide so much insight to the end of time. Let's all pray for wisdom and understanding when reading and hearing these books.ClevrBlends Sleeptime Latte: https://www.clevrblends.com/discount/BLONDE15?rfsn=6713548.9b6046fIf you have been blessed by this podcast and would like to show your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bedtimebiblestoriesadults/support

We have a very special episode tonight. It's one of my favorite weekends of the year. We get to focus on and remember the incredible sacrifice that our Savior made for us. What a mixture of emotions. Intense sadness for the pain and agony he went through. It's really tough on my heart to hear that part. But imagine the JOY on Sunday. He is RISEN!We are reading from the New Living Translation:Luke 22:1-6Matthew 26:17-29Luke 22:31-71Luke 23Luke 24:1-12Matthew 28:11-15Luke 24:13-49Mark 16:19-20John 21:25If you have been blessed by this podcast and would like to show your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bedtimebiblestoriesadults/support

We continue the story of Nehemiah and the rebuilding of Jerusalem. Thank you to my mother for suggesting this story! There is a big celebration. The Israelites are confessing their sins and promising to follow the Laws of Moses and of God. They are feasting and singing. But then, Nehemiah leaves, and it seems like everything crumbles. Listen to what happens when he returns. If you have been blessed by this podcast and would like to show your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bedtimebiblestoriesadults/support

Nehemiah was known for his strong faith in God and his devotion to his Jewish heritage. When he heard of the damage in Jerusalem, he was very concerned about the Jewish people and the city itself. He received God's calling to oversee the rebuilding of the city walls. This story shows us the incredible impact that one person can have.We are reading Nehemiah chapters 1 through 6.CozyEarth.com - limited time code HEATHER3946.If you have been blessed by this podcast and would like to show your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bedtimebiblestoriesadults/support

Becoming king at the young age of 25, Hezekiah did what was good and right before the Lord. He was quite the opposite of his wicked father, King Ahaz. He reopened the temple and destroyed any existing idols, and he faithfully kept the commandments that the Lord gave to Moses. We are reading 2 Kings 18 through 20.If you have been blessed by this podcast and would like to show your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bedtimebiblestoriesadults/support

Can you imagine giving away your child to serve in the temple forever? Hannah wanted one so desperately that she was willing to make that promise to God. And thank goodness she did! The world's first murder. Is anyone else shocked at how soon this happened? I certainly am. How much grief Adam and Eve must have felt. Although the Bible doesn't go into detail, things go downhill after that, and the world becomes so wicked that God regrets having made mankind. This is an account of the events following "In the Beginning" and preceding "Noah and the Ark." In recognition of the New Year, I wanted to tell a story about new beginnings. This is the story of one of the most powerful transformations in the Bible. Saul of Tarsus was born shortly after the death of Jesus and went on to become a well-known Pharisee. He mercilessly persecuted followers of Jesus, until a dramatic confrontation with God changed his life forever. We are reading Acts 8 and 9.If you have been blessed by this podcast and would like to show your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bedtimebiblestoriesadults/support

If you heard the Fiery Furnace episode, now we are reading the next three chapters of Daniel--4, 5, and 6. They are really three separate stories in one, with three separate kings. Two involve interpretation and the last one, a huge test of faith. It's incredible, the faith that Daniel had.If you have been blessed by this podcast and would like to show your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bedtimebiblestoriesadults/support

The long-awaited part 2 is finally here! Friends, my health kept me from being able to finish this episode earlier. Ironic, right? But God is good, and it's here. I tried to make the parts equal in length, but as you can see, I was not successful. Some of the stories in part 2 are longer. And the last story finishes it off with a bang! All of the Bible stories are excellent, but I felt like we needed some JESUS in our lives. So many of us are suffering from health issues, and it can be very discouraging and lonely. Let's get some encouragement and fill our minds with some of Jesus' miraculous healings. One of my favorite healing miracles is in this episode, and I'm so excited for you to hear it! I've been focusing on it throughout my own healing journey. I'll tell you which one it is in the intro to part two.We are reading different parts of Luke and John.If you have been blessed by this podcast and would like to show your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bedtimebiblestoriesadults/support

The strongest man in the Bible... physically. He didn't always have the best self-control, but God had an important plan for him from the very beginning. I find myself asking a lot of questions about this story. I heard a rumor that the book of Philippians was one of the happiest books in the Bible... in spite of it being written from prison! When I heard that, I knew I had to record it next. It is full of amazing promises from God, and good reminders from Paul to forget our negative pasts and to look forward to the future. I was really blessed by this episode and hope you will be, too.We are reading the entire book of Philippians. If you have been blessed by this podcast and would like to show your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bedtimebiblestoriesadults/support

The book of Daniel is full of prophecy and begins with the story of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednago. Is that how you learned their names, too? It's funny that we call Daniel by his original name, and we learn the Babylonian names for his friends. When I read this story, it made me really think about my faith. There will be times we will be questioned or even threatened. Will I be strong enough to stand up for God? I pray that God will give me that strength. It amazes me the faith that those three men had. Let that be our inspiration!I hope you enjoy the first story about Daniel. I've been wanting to read this story almost since I started this podcast. I'm not sure why, but maybe because there are so many little stories that make up one bigger story. We could say there are several main characters. And I thought maybe it would be one that less of you are familiar with. At any rate, I'm excited to present it now. See if you can catch how the title ties in with the story. We are reading Joshua 1 through 4, 5:1,13-15, and 6.If you have been blessed by this podcast and would like to show your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bedtimebiblestoriesadults/support

For an overdue episode, I had to make it a good one. To be honest, I kept putting off episodes about Jesus. Why? Because I don't feel worthy of reading His stories and words and bringing them to life. I wanted it to be perfect... and that's impossible. I am only human and will make mistakes. So here is my imperfect reading about the only Perfect Man to walk this earth. This is only the beginning of His story. Enjoy, and thank you for listening. We are reading from the end of Luke chapter 2, Matthew 3 and the beginning of Matthew 4, John chapter 1 starting with verse 19 and all of John 2.If you have been blessed by this podcast and would like to show your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin.--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bedtimebiblestoriesadults/support
